DC's is a one of a kind in the area. Wife and I go there every 2-3 months. The bookstore area is…read morevery well stocked with all kinds of adult items from toy to clothing to videos. The staff is always polite and helpful. There are about 20 video booths, most of which have gloryholes. The booths can get pretty warm. There are also two theaters, which require at $20 bill in the box at the door to gain entry. One theater shows homosexual porn and the other theater shows heterosexual porn. There are many large faux leather couches in both theaters. We have always found the theaters to be very clean and the only drawback has been the smoking. We have never encountered any pushy or rude people. A lot of guys seem to be reluctant to get involved with couples, preferring to do their own thing or just watch. We have noticed that the majority of couples who go to the theater tend to go on Friday and Saturday nights, although we have seen other couples there at random times during the daytime. The place in in the back of an older mini mall right off of I-65. There is plenty of parking in the back for cars and a huge lot for big rigs. There is usually a guard patrolling outside at night to keep away any trouble makers and sitting in your car or an extended time is not permitted. Anyone who goes there will not be disappointed.

Older furniture for sure but the personnel and clients themselves are considerate and helpful. While I wasn't feeling well enough to get involved I can see the potential for a raunchy good time and definitely want to go back soon...hubby and I already have some plans.

If you love this place, then you totally understand the hype to it however, if you're like me and…read moreyou were introduced to this from another person who absolutely adores it, but you don't care for places like this you find it confusing. So this is a massive bookstore, music store, video store, toy store that specializes in buying used items and reselling them. So if you have an aversion to musty dirty used items, this is not your place. Which I happen to have. However, this is not McKay's fault. It is a great place to offload things you don't need and get a little cash on the side. I have a touch of sensory bias, which is why it's difficult for me to enjoy it. But I totally understand why others do. If you are planning on selling stuff, make sure you get there early. If not, when they open there will be a line not of people wanting to sell stuff just people wanting to get in there to check out anything new that came in the night before. It is always busy so do not expect to come and it not be packed. If that is an issue for you probably not your place. But a big plus is the parking lot is absolutely massive. You will find a parking spot regardless of how busy it is. And to that I give it five stars.

I was so excited to get back to McKay's for the first time in years. I was completely taken aback…read moreby the prices of books here now. Many books I found were overpriced for used books. There's no pricing system based on book condition, which would be nice. You may find a book in fair condition and pay the same amount for the same book in excellent condition. Customer service was great as always.

The shelves are filled with a large selection of books, all organized by genre. There's a section for stationery, puzzles, totes, and other fun things as well! The dedicated children's section has the most whimsical little door where you may catch grown-ups slipping through from time to time.... While you're there you may see one of the many shop dogs they have as well! Parnassus is very involved in the community. They host events like author talks and book clubs. They have lots of book signings too. Just a great spot!

It was busy but not packed when we arrived, and it looked like the staff was setting up for an event. Books are arranged by genre, with newer titles near the front of the store. I found a few novels I've been eyeing, and the prices are fair. I could have easily spent a few hours browsing ... as easily as I could have spent a small fortune on books. It is worth noting that my husband was disappointed at the graphic novel selection (it was only one small end cap), and sadly he left empty-handed. Even still, this is a great spot to pick out a new novel, and a great chance to support an independent bookseller!

The service is fine, but the value you receive for the selling compared to what they expect in pricing is kind of ridiculous. I would be a little cautious on going here.

You are about to experience the awe and mystery of, The Outer Limits! You've been seeking an experience. An adventure. Well, now you've found it. The Outer Limits is out there alright. But not so much for the hoard of Pokémon Trainers, who flock to this establishment to engage in the fantasy world of playing and trading. For them this is serious fun. For I, as an observer, it's a one of a kind experience to delve into the mysterious world, and minds, of my new friends. On my visit the store was packed to the Limits. From the Outer portion, to the inner sanctum. That's where games were afoot. The participants paid no attention to this pathogen who looked over shoulders in an attempt to make sense of what the eyes were taking in. Make sense? I couldn't. But it was fun watching the ones who knew what they were doing, enjoying themselves. Each digging into their prerequisite backpacks, ferreting through their game pieces in an attempt to gain advantage. At least that's what I think they were doing. I have no idea as to the process, or for that matter, the outcome. But what I do know, all were having a blast, albeit in a controlled intellectual way. I had a blast too. I admire this sect of game followers, these who dwell on the fringes. They're in their own world. One fraught with challenges of the game, as the real world meanders. In the game, they're in control. We on the outside looking in, can only watch in awe, and wonder. If it's collectable that you're interested in, it's here. Comics, cards, and weird doll things (you know what they are, me, I just shrug the shoulders). Enter the Outer Limits, where Reality ends and fantasy begins. Quick Tip: The card prices seem to be fair. But I have no perspective from which to judge. I being a sports card collector and not fantasy. I can only fantasize that one day I'll come across a rare Mickey Mantle for cheap. I wouldn't know a Pikachu Illustrator from a Alpha Black Lotus. Hmm...could those be the ones I used as drink coasters?
