Wow! I am truly amazed at how fantastic this property is. I travel a bit and usually stay at…read moreMarriott locations, so I understand that the Fairfield is typically on the more economical end. This one, however, is changing that stereotype. First off, everything is immaculately clean and well maintained. The lobby area has gorgeous furniture (my mom even looked it up because she fell in love with some chairs-but learned that they were far too rich for her budget!) The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast area was as clean as I keep my kitchen at home (which is saying something.) What really made this stay stick out was the service. I requested an early check in due to some scheduling things and we were able to get that-no problem. Then, my son's glasses broke and we ran into Steven, a maintenance employee, who cheerfully offered electrical tape and the use of his scissors for us to makeshift fix them. I don't find myself in Twin Falls often, but if I come through again, I'll be happy to stay here in the future.

Gym small but very clean. No bike let alone recumbent bike. That was disappointing. No ball for a work either. At night it was fine but in the morning it was packed. By packed I mean 4 people on the 4 machines! Room was big and clean. Bed immaculate. Cool curtains. Tub a little old but water pressure great. And bathroom was big. Not sure I'd stay again if I could find a hotel with a recumbent bike. After all the sitting in meetings and on the airplane, I need to work my knee out.

The stay at the Inn: The rooms were beautiful and spacious with comfortable beds. Each a little different with their own charm and flare. The living room was gorgeous with exposed beams and I loved sitting on the couch and reading a book in the afternoon sunlight. The owner said the goal is to feel at home and she totally nailed it. The food: At check in you find homemade cookies in your room which taste amazing. The owner checks any allergies and preferences and then prepares an amazing breakfast in the morning which is included in the cost of stay. Each day was different and fantastic. I think I will be dreaming of that coffee cake and biscuits/gravy casserole until I return! Fillmore Inn as an event space: We rented all the rooms and had a bridal shower in the backyard. It was the perfect event space! The backyard was a gorgeous backdrop for the shower and Denise the owner was so incredibly helpful with all the details along the way and during the event. We will definitely return anytime we are in Twin Falls! I would give the place more than five stars if I could!

Suggestion: If you want a cart you provide a $50 deposit (charged to your room) and if the cart is not returned in 30 minutes you lose the deposit. I should not have to make 8 trips back and forth at check-in to shuttle my belongings from a full-size SUV packed for a 3 week roadtrip (everyone knows not to leave a single item in their vehicle overnight). When arriving and expressing our disbelief that there were no luggage carts available the young girl at the front desk laughed and told us we just needed to wait. Great example of 0/10 customer service. While we were unnecessarily making all of these trips from our vehicle to our room to get everything unloaded we were dodging people openly consuming alcohol from what looked like a bar right next to the front desk. Super enjoyable dealing with drunks in the lobby and elevators when you're just trying to call it a night after a long day. Our room was $225+ with fees/taxes which is too much for a simple Garden Inn, especially this one. Parking is shared with a diner and there is not enough of it. The room felt large due to high ceilings. Although the lighting in the bathroom was great, in the bedroom it was dim. Good location if you need shopping (Costco, Walmart, a mall) or dining (Denny's, Black Bear Diner, Culver's, Chick-fil-A). This property reminds me of why we try to only stay at Homewood Suites or Home2 Suites which is that you pay the same price for a Garden Inn and get so much less in return.
