After some indecision, she picked one out and of course, I couldn't resist and bought one too. The one I purchased is a little plainer, perfect for work, and was on sale for over half off, which of course sealed the deal. I already started using it and love both the color (blue!) and functionality. The gentleman working during our visit was so patient and informative as he answered a bajillion questions from my friend while letting us browse without pressure. Of course prices are on the higher side but I have always appreciated Cotopaxi's fun color ways, quality, and their commitment to doing good. The only downside for this visit was that I was told I would get my receipt via email but never received it, which is a bummer because I like keeping them for warranty purposes.

I always try to support local businesses, especially children's stores, but unfortunately my experiences here have consistently felt unwelcoming. My most recent visit was while shopping for my daughter's upcoming 3rd birthday. When I walked in, neither of the two employees in the store acknowledged me. After a while, I received a very cold greeting from one of them. During checkout, I commented that it was nice to see they carried adult clothing as well, and the owner responded with, "We always have," in a tone that came across as harsh and dismissive. On its own, this interaction might not have been a big deal, but it reflects a pattern I've experienced over the years. I've repeatedly found the atmosphere to be unfriendly, particularly in my interactions with the owner. As a parent who regularly shops for children's clothing and enjoys supporting local businesses, customer service matters. I want to spend my money where customers feel welcomed and appreciated. Because of the consistent lack of warmth and customer care I've experienced, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. That's disappointing, because I genuinely prefer supporting neighborhood businesses whenever possible.

The prices are high, but that is to be expected from a boutique store. The service and experience merit the price. There is also a small consignment area to the left of the register with very nice, reasonably priced- items that look brand new. We got some Tea clothes gifted to us from City Mouse and the quality is excellent and they clothes are so darn cute!
