Moxy Allentown Downtown I am here until 2 but had to stop and share because this place is an absolute vibe. From the moment you walk in the hotel feels playful stylish and intentionally different in the best way. The animal theme is gorgeous and whimsical with carousel tiger energy bold art and framed animal portraits with actual viewfinders you can look through. It is interactive clever and genuinely fun. The lobby feels more like a cool lounge than a hotel complete with a sultry fortune teller setup and cozy fire pits. There is a great outdoor area that would be amazing in warmer weather but sadly there was too much snow during our stay. Even so the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting. The little details really seal the deal. In our room there was a super cool logo and photo design where you could pull off a copy to take home almost like a notepad souvenir. It was such a smart unexpected touch and those small surprises are everywhere making the experience feel thoughtful and curated. Service was excellent throughout friendly relaxed and welcoming without being overbearing. Everything felt cozy but elevated social without being loud and stylish without trying too hard. If you like hotels with personality creativity and a sense of humor this Moxy absolutely delivers. Gorgeous fun and memorable and we would absolutely stay again preferably when we can enjoy the outdoor space without snow boots.

Convenient Accommodating Misunderstood? A few broken fold-down desk photos notwithstanding, much of the frustration here seems to be with unconventional design. That's fine - no accounting for taste. My stay saw friendly, personable, timely service. The room was ready promptly and was in perfect order. The price was alarmingly low (though on very short notice...your mileage may vary). And I always appreciate Moxy's individual design efforts, with this location no exception. If you're looking for straightforward hotel standards, Moxy may hit a false note. But if the location, price, and a wildcard element match your need, book it. Just a fun departure from average.

This is a photo of me working from the hotel lobby. The people watching is stellar.

Best hotel stay in Allentown. The rooms might feel small but honestly I rather this stylish modern stay than anything else I've seen around town. Their lobby / bar is a nice night cap after a long day. The smart TVs and perfume they spray around the lobby is a nice touch

This review is for the new Moxy Hotel downtown Allentown. Brand new hotel. Still a dirt lot on Google maps. I love the brand; it's unconventional. This is an outstanding example. Only 3 blocks from the hockey arena and several restaurants and bars within walking distance. You're not going to stay here all week for business meetings. But the lobby area is fun. Small rooms, but well-appointed. Try it out

The service is not what it seems. We checked in before 3pm and during check in I specially asked please make up the trundle bed for my kids. We came back at night and nothing done. Requested towels and wasn't there either. I'm not expecting 5 star but they gave us complete attitudes. And lied several times. Said why didn't YOU tell us earlier. But we did and we even saw you write it down. Then said well housekeeping left for the day and they were gone. You missed it. How when they were walking around and such when we checked and asked for it? Then kept lying that she was the only one there. We just walked in and there was a guy and a girl. Then we had to go make our own bed and go downstairs to get the sheets. She disappeared and there was the same guy I spoke to. No one apologized, just here are your sheets and towels. Then continued lying that housekeeping leaves at 5 and we said but we checked in before 3. Well they left sometimes early sometimes late. Meanwhile we saw them everywhere when we checked in. On top of that none of the workers gave us their names and we couldn't speak to a manager bc they also left. Everyone left except for these two idiots who continues to lie instead of just owning up to their mistakes. Sometimes that could be more forgivable. On but wait, he just literally left in the middle of the convo LOL. Turned around and left. That's it I don't give a sh*t. Take the sheets and put your bed together or don't, bc he can care less. Also there were hairs on the toilet and sofa too. I wasn't even going to gripe about that but since I'm already here. I'm pretty sure a lot of these reviews are just plain fake so good luck staying here.

I spent two nights at the Allentown Renaissance hotel in early August. I really enjoyed my stay…read more I arrived around 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon and was warmly greeted and checked in. I had a king sized bedroom. Room was clean, bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Smart fridge kept my drinks cool enough. They do have an energy saver (where you need to put the key in for lights and hvac). I don't feel the air got as cold as I would have liked it. I did have food there one night as part of my work conference, and it was absolutely fantastic. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked. I used the gym the two mornings I was there and it got the job done (two elipticals, 4 treadmills, and weights). There is a restaurant there and a few options nearby. I wouldn't stray too far from the hotel, and if you have a lot of belongings, I'd valet because the self parking lot is a bit of a hike through the tunnel and whatnot, but truly a great stay if you're in Allentown.

Very nice hotel but they really want to nickel and dime you…read more.. We drove in from out of town (as I assume most people do) and arrived a little earlier than expected. Check in is advertised as 4pm (a little on the late side, IMO) and in order to check into our room and leave our bags we had to pay a $50 early check in fee. If our room is available, why do we have to pay? Just frustrating. The valet area is in a terrible spot on a heavily traveled road - you can only fit one car - so timing on that is a bit tricky. On a positive note - it's a nice, clean hotel that's is within walking distance to several restaurants and businesses. I don't know that we would stay again though - there are other hotels in the area that are just as nice.

Well kempt, the hotel is welcoming, strong, and beautiful in its own majestic right. The staff is friendly, well-informed, professional, and extremely helpful. Nicolette is an amazing desk clerk because we simply had a minor noise issue with a fan in our room and she helped to resolve that issue in mere minutes. At dinner, Dale had worked his afternoon shift and was on his way home when he was asked to return because the other waiter had called off. Though tired, Dale made certain we were taken care of with an excellent meal. (We say him back in the morning to work breakfast alone again!) The rooms are amazing and comfortable. We both had a truly fantastic evening and look forward to returning.

This isn't a luxury hotel by any means, but it's comfortable and perfectly adequate for a weary traveler and a pet. This is an older hotel. The lamps have outlets in the bases, but no USB and certainly not USB-C ports. Good thing I brought charger thingies that plug into outlets, or I would be without a charged laptop, phone, and watch! Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. So is customer service, when you call. There's a pool, a 24/7 business center, and other amenities, but no restaurant on site. There's a diner nearby, and a Taco Bell. I don't eat Taco Bell, but the diner was a very short walk. Even if you are just staying one night, sign up for the free membership. You get free WiFi and can ask for early check-in/ late check-out. And you constantly get thanked for being a member, lol. I was delighted to see a bathtub! One advantage of an older hotel. Renovations always seem to involve replacing the tub with a giant shower. Bleah. The kitchenette is stocked with plates, cups, and wine glasses. Woohoo! But the TV is oddly located facing a wall, not the bed or sofa, although I suppose it could be turned. There's no table next to the chaise longue, so I put my wineglass on an ottoman. Not ideal, since I had to stretch, but it worked. The bed was comfortable, but I woke up itchy. This may be because it's a pet-friendly room, and I am allergic to MANY breeds of dogs, and all cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. Sadly, I forgot to pack my allergy meds. Anyway, I would stay in one of these hotels again. Perfectly adequate, and much more space than just a room.

The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. We got in late at night and the front desk recommended places for dinner that were open at that hour. The room was a good size, clean and perfect for two people. It would probably be a little cramped for a family. The couch opens to sleep two more people, but I wouldn't recommend that. It would be too crowded. There was a pool right across from our room, but we didn't have time to use it. All in all, our stay was very pleasant and we definitely would go again when in the Lehigh Valley.

Luckily, I was able to nab one of the closest parking spots to the front entrance after looping around the building. My initial thought was that it was very quiet. Perhaps I was on a floor by myself, but I didn't hear or see anyone else on my floor during my one-night stay. I really loved my room. It was contemporary-styled and comfortable with plenty of light fixtures and a floor to ceiling window. I especially liked the light over the sofa because it automatically turned off, and turned back on after it detected motion. The bed was also comfortable and soft with high quality foam pillows. There was a QR code by the bed, and when directed to the website contained a list of information and hotel policies. One of those policies was in regard to delivery orders. Deliveries cannot be left at the front desk or taken to your room by the driver/carrier. They must be picked up in the lobby, which was fairly simple to follow. After check-out I had left clothes in the closet and didn't realize until hours later. I called the front desk and was able to coordinate picking them up after housekeeping checked the room for my items and collected them. I really appreciate Amanda's promptness and level of customer service whilst assisting me over the phone. My only dissatisfaction was that I didn't receive hand soap in the bathroom, but otherwise it was a much needed and unrealized change from Marriott.
