My baby had to undergo extreme torture to correct all the cavities they told me didn't exist for 5 yrs. I took her there from gums to 5yrs old. When she started grinding her teeth. We then found out they were NOT a pediatric dentist office. They lied to me for 5 yrs!! The new dentist was amazing, but all in the room holding back tears as they had to address the negligence from the previous dentist office. As for me, they filled my cavities and when I told them my bite was not matching up she just randomly started drilling teeth, rolling her eyes to just shut me up . Obviously this did not fix the problem and seven years later. I finally have been able to find a Dentist who was willing to try after the disaster she had made.. for seven years. I've been grinding my teeth in order to eat to chew! The Icon Dentist made me get a mouthguard which only aggravated my TMJ and put me out hundreds of dollars. I honestly should sue them and M thinking about it since it's been about seven years and my daughter and I are still struggling from the negligence and lies that these so-called dentists dished out!

The office is located on the second floor of a building with no elevator or wheelchair access. There are two flights of stairs to reach the second floor from either the front of the building or the rear of the building where the parking is located. While somewhat challenging for me now due to knee and hip issues, I can make it up the stairs using the handrail along the way. However, there may be a time for me in the future that the lack of accessibility will prompt me to change to a different practice.

The others in his office follow his lead and round out the good experience patients have at Dr. Burton's office (I have seen times when he has had a hard time getting patients to leave!). Unlike so many doctors of all types, he gets to know his patients to the extent they want and remembers when they tell him about things like a big trip they have booked. Also unlike so many he has a very broad working knowledge beyond his professional expertise in the dental field and that shows conversationally. As a result of his comprehensive response to the pandemic and detailed effort to keep his patients safe, even in these trying times seeing a dental appointment on my calendar means I will have a good experience coming up. I've showed up for my appt and no one is around to greet me for 10-15 min. My last straw was when i came in for my appt, and the dr literally said "I have to go" you're in good hands (meaning the hygienist) she left, I never even got to see my Dentist! So unprofessional

Worst experience I've ever had with a dentist's office. As a new patient I had filled out their…read moreforms and mailed them in about a month or so prior to my appointment (just a routine cleaning) to make sure everything went smoothly. I had to line up a babysitter for my two toddlers in order to go to the appointment. When I went in the tech acted like they had no information on me and started with the health history all over again. If they actually hadn't received the forms, you would think that they would have had me fill these out in the waiting room instead of the tech going through 2 pages of questions verbally. The first question she asked was if I'm under a doctor's care. I told her I'm under the care of an oncologist as I have breast cancer, but I am NOT currently on any treatment whatsoever as I have an upcoming surgery. The tech immediately stated that I would need clearance from my oncologist in order to receive a cleaning. I told her I don't need clearance as I'm not on any treatment (which means absolutely Nothing, no chemo, no medication), and if I needed clearance my oncologist would have told me so. She continued to insist that I need clearance and tried to call his office, which was not open for another hour. Then she tried to get me to come back in 3 hours. I told her I have two toddlers at home with a sitter and could not drag this out for another 3 hours waiting for a clearance that I don't need in the first place. She continued to go on about how its her license on the line even though I had signed an Informed Consent for Treatment document and sent it in with the rest of the paperwork. She made me feel as though I was a liar about not being on treatment, and a liability to her career because I have cancer. I finally gave up arguing with her and told her point blank that having cancer has already made my life a living hell, but now I can't even get my teeth cleaned because of it? Then I walked out the door. I understand the tech felt like she needed to keep herself covered but that's why they have patients fill out consent forms and release their liability if anything goes wrong. This office was beyond unprofessional, obviously disorganized, not to mention clueless and insensitive about their patients. I left there feeling as though I wasn't just a person needing a routine cleaning, just a big red X with cancer that they wanted nothing to do with.

I called again and was told I was called (I wasn't and can prove it with phone records). I was told they weren't taking new patients but would make an exception and put me on the waitlist...again. And you can guess....they never called...again. Disappointing experience-good luck with the office staff.
