We had three large oak trees in the front of the houses (ours and our neighbors) that had not been trimmed in many years - resulting in major branches/leaves resting on our roofs and the trees appearing unkempt and out of control (which they were). Additionally, we had approximately 10 trees (mostly oaks but a few other species thrown in) inhabiting our very steep back hillside, with much undergrowth and smaller offshoot from the existing trees. I contacted Hector for a quote and he came out first thing the next day. He assessed the situation in a very short period of time and provided an estimate for both my neighbor's work and mine the very next day. Before I could get back to him I noticed two days later that his crew was doing work at one of my neighbor's homes 3 doors down. That was early afternoon. I texted him to say I wanted to move forward with our work. He texted back and said would I like to do the front trees that same afternoon as they were almost finished at the neighbors. I said that would be great. They came promptly and within a matter of a few hours they had completed all the cutting and chipping and had everything spotless in both yards. They came back today to undertake the challenging steep hillside and yard in back. Hector checked in with me to make sure they understood the work we wanted done and, with that, they spent the next 3 hours doing a fantastic job - better than we could have hoped for. Mr Arbor (Hector) was a great choice. They took down some really big eucalyptus trees on a steep hillside. They were competitively priced and did the work quickly and effectively. They even finished one day less than their estimate. They are also a very professional outfit. One of their workers mistakenly caused minor damage to a fence post when they were removing the huge trees. When I told the owner he came out and fixed the fence like new with no haggling. This was a good sized project covering lots of types of trees and terrain. He and his well-staffed crew were able to get it all done in one day. We used this company and they did a fine job with the removal of 2 large oak trees. Unfortunately, they left an enormous amount of sawdust in the flower beds and they planted replacement trees using the sawdust instead of soil. We paid landscapers over $800 to replant trees and remove the sawdust. They filled their pickup truck bed to the brim as well as 2 large disposal cans. The equipment that Mr. Arbor used on the property leaked oil all over the pavers and Hector, the owner, has not cleaned it up in spite of 3 or 4 requests. Hector needs to follow through on his verbal agreements. At this point, the 1 Star review is warranted and I Do Not Recommend this company. read more

We had called to schedule an appointment for Hector to look at our overgrown trees and just a few days later he and his team were able to come to our house and work magic. In the middle of pineapple experess/ bomb cyclone weather I start to panic about the 2 redwoods in my backyard. I called Hector Chan at about 7:45 in the morning. He came by an hour later to assess the trees and an hour after that they were at my house with about 7 guys. They thinned those trees in pouring rain and had it done in a few hours.
