This majestic beauty had a fungal infection and carpenter ant infestation that led to our sad decision to remove it. Leo's foreman encouraged us to have an arborist check it out to give a diagnosis. Leo's tree service was great. When he came out to give an estimate, he was professional, very knowledgeable, and listened to what I wanted. He explained how things would proceed in a clear and concise way. Lizbet was prompt to follow up and provide an official estimate. They weren't the cheapest, but they were very reasonable and they were by far not the most expensive. And they could come out the same week which I thought was great. On the day of the job, they were on time (actually about 10 mins early) and had double the workers he had initially said he would bring. At one point during the day, we counted 12 people working on our trees. They were done in half the time he initially said, but they did not cut corners. The trees were trimmed evenly and cleanly. They were careful and efficient. They cleaned up my property so much that it was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. The crew was very friendly during and after the job. I called Leo's Tree Service because my property got out of control over the course of a difficult pregnancy and post-partum recovery. They came out and assessed the property - overgrown trees that needed trimming, branches growing over into our neighbors' yards, two 30 foot invasive trees and a handful of smaller trees that needed to be removed and stump ground, shoulder high foxtail and dandelion and thistle in the backyard, blackberry bramble crawling down the alleyway, and a mess of branches on our roof. They quoted us a price that seemed low so I assumed it would be just a couple guys and it would take all day. I was prepared to struggle through naps with my 4 month old with the noise. When I tell you that they showed up 10 minutes early with a crew of at least ten and that they finished the front yard in 30 minutes and they were cleaned up and gone in 2 hours flat? They hauled away everything they touched and a ton that they didn't! They were courteous and professional and efficient. They put up plywood and tarps to protect our windows and they were polite and responsive when I asked to make changes to the initial plan. And they didn't even wake the baby! Lizbet, the office manager, responded promptly to my text inquiry seeking an appointment for an estimate to remove and stump grind a non-fruiting Mulberry. The appointment was made with Leo for the same day. Leo was personable, efficient, and provided an excellent quote, proposing to do both the removal and the stump grinding at 8:00 the next morning. I accepted the proposal. A large crew of three vehicle arrived at 8:00 the next morning and left at 8:40 after removing the tree, grinding the stump, chipping the branches and trunk, and doing a thorough, spic-and-span cleanup of the removal area and the street. Our backyard was a mess when we stopped watering it 5 years ago due to the drought. I had a 80 foot tall diseased tree that was right on our fence line with our neighbor. Leo came out and provided a reasonably priced estimate to not only remove the tree but also clean up and grind out the roots of the blackberries that had taken over the yard. I got three bids from different tree services. The first was the cheapest but the reviews were iffy. The last two both had great reviews and were priced fairly close. I choose Leo's. They were about a week out which was fine with me. His crew showed up right on time and went to work immediately. I had five trees that I wanted topped and trimmed. I also had a sixth tree that I wanted to save. After talking with Leo he made me realize that the tree was a danger because of crack all the way to the base. I went with his expertise which was the right decision. I loved that his crew didn't use chain saws and hack my trees. The three Maples were very big. Lastly after they left I went out to inspect and there was no sign that they had ever been there except for all my trees had been topped and trimmed beautifully. Had Leo out Monday (5/15/23) to give estimate on removing a ton of bay tree dead wood in trees adjacent to house. Also. A huge growth of weeds & particularly thistles.
