We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. We grabbed an éclair, a blueberry muffin, and two ham and Swiss croissants. Every single thing was outstanding. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. We always have every intention of taking pictures... and then we take one bite and completely forget. That's probably the best compliment we can give. We loved sitting inside, which is intimate, cozy but still roomy. We are looking forward to sitting outside in their patio space. Staff are also exceptional!

Ordering online (which I think is still the only way they want you to get takeout?), I saw that morning. Buns were not available today. What a bummer. So I ordered a Kouign Amman then when I arrived for pick up, what is in the display case but morning buns. The Kouign is delicious but it is also pretty darn small. It's the size of a muffin. Then when I was there, I added a big pretzel and that came to ... $18. It's VERY big but seems like maybe $10-$12 would be luxury pricing instead of $16. I'll probably come back because it's near my house and it is so tasty, but if I had to drive, this might be the death knell. I have a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. And an empty belly.

It was a SINGLE pin on my google map - no pins near it at all! I must have pinned this at some point as "a place to go to sometime when in the area" but I really can't remember pinning it and am not sure why I would pin a coffee shop located in a church! However! This is the second coffee shop that I've seen in Denver while driving by - like located as part of a massive church, so it was interesting to actually be checking it out. It was like biting into a cloud, and the bottom was dusted with a cinnamon sugar which elevated the plain cake. It had a decadent chocolate glaze that was so delicious.
