We booked Mr. Bee for our wedding this past month. Our wedding coordinator put us in contact with Mr.Bee after there was an issue with our original bartender. Mr.Bee picked up right where we left off and planning went smoothly. He was prompt when we would reach out to ask questions etc. On the day of the wedding, Mr. Bee and his wife Lisa were so popular! I was so happy to hear from guests how Mr.Bee and Lisa rocked the bar, were super efficient serving the crowd and looked fly in their uniforms while at it. The drinks were AMAZING. The Micheladas were my personal favorite of course! But everybody enjoyed their drinks and kept talking about how delicious and strong the drinks were even weeks after the wedding. I got married recently & hired this bartender, was in contact with him ever since the contract was signed through email and text. The contract sent to me had a drink list to fill out & a bride & groom favorite drink, I added red sangria to the party drink list AND the groom's favorite drink. I emailed the bartender asking if I should buy it pre-made, he replies it might be more cost effective if we make them fresh. Fresh made sangria?! Well that sounds amazing. How many should I buy Mr. bartender? *this many* Here I go buying a bunch of bottles of wine for this sangria he'll be making... Fast forward to the day of the wedding, 2 other very sweet girls under a different bartending company showed up with no knowledge of sangrias being on the menu or how to make them. Nice. Although I love wine very much, I didn't appreciate being stuck with a bunch of wine that didn't serve the purpose of what it was purchased for. I was really excited when I came across their yelp reviews and their FB page so I decided to reach out to them via e-mail. I got a generic response so I decided to FB them and let them know I would be booking them for two events. I got a response last week asking me what day works best to meet. I said Sunday. Sunday came and went. I decided to give them one last try and call. I left a voice mail and have not heard back. I thought it was very unprofessional to say you would be able to bartend my events then ask to meet and never get back to me to confirm. I will not be recommending you to anyone. I'm saddened to have to do this review and give it a one star but I feel obligated to after my experience with booking this company for my husband's 45th birthday party. It started with the initial communication which at that point I should have looked for another Bartending company but after reading all the reviews, I was confident that this company would deliver. The communication was done through texting and emails which this company was slow to respond. This was not too big of a deal because I understand that companies can be busy and overwhelmed. I texted pictures of how I would like the set up to be and I was emailed with a list to shop for. I thought everything was good to go. They were scheduled to come at 12 pm and set up before the party starts at 1 pm. 12... no show....12:30, I call but no answer. I got a text moments later and was informed that the persons car broke down and somebody else was on their way. The back up person arrived and stated that she was not a bartender but was asked by her sisters friend to fill in. She was not prepared with the set up and had to leave to buy more ice. The girl was very nice and we made it work but overall I am very unsatisfied with the experience. At $25 an hr, I expected so much more. The girl didn't start until 2 pm. Nor did the company apologize or followed up with our experience. Our set up was nothing like the pictures on yelp. Very unprofessional looking. A picture is posted. Pls see for yourself. I feel as though because our event was a smaller, backyard party so therefore effort was not given. read more
