I had never heard of this place but saw the good reviews on Yelp and always prefer to shop local so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm giving it 4 stars because the donuts were pretty good. I got the apple fritter and it was a little overcooked, but still really tasty. The coffee was okay, not the best it tasted a little old or maybe burnt itself. The man running the place was really nice and it was all very clean. Yeah, 4 stars. It's worth a try for sure. read more

I was in the mood for some donuts while visiting Denver for the weekend and found Mr. Donuts on Yelp. The lady that helped me was so friendly and welcomed me in with a smile. I ordered two croissant donuts and two blueberry donuts and I think because it was close to closing time, she threw in a few donut holes and a red velvet donut on the house. I don't know if I was just in a good mood, but had an amazing experience. Even the $2 drip coffee was fresh and not bitter. Some of the best drip coffee I've had in a while. The croissant donut was amazing as well. Buttery, flaky, and not too sweet. The little donut bites they added just for fun were really good as well. Keep up the good work!! read more

Was way better before they got bought and the new owners came. Decent donuts but not like before. OMG so good!! We came at 3pm. Wasn't expecting much because we came so late in the day. There was a nice selection and the donuts were fresh and fluffy. Didn't taste oily or anything. Not only are the donuts here top notch, the service is literally the best! The owners/servers here always have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. The coffee tastes perfectly good and the best donut is the blueberry one, like many of the reviewers have also mentioned! The only downside that this is a small shop with only 4 tables, so if you want to sit around and enjoy your donut, depending on the time and day you might not get to do that. read more

Used to live in Erie where there are zero donut places so my ratings are prob skewed more positively than when I lived in Chicago and had access to Do-Rite, that being said this place is pretty damn great! You dont usually find cronuts at these places and they even have Cronut holes. Very clean and good service! read more

I love donuts & try places all the time. I was excited to see that there was a Mr. Donuts near where I was. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Arriving a little after 10:00 am it was clear some of the more popular donuts were sold out. I got an Apple Fritter, Long John filled with Bavarian Cream & a Round filled with raspberry. I'm not sure if it is customary, but the donuts were filled as I ordered them. Let me tell you the fillings were terrific & filled like a donut is supposed to be. The Long John was filled on both ends so every bite had the sweet, smooth cream! The Apple Fritter was fantastic & reminded me of the ones I would get with my Dad at the local donut shop by our house before helping him at work! They open every morning at 6:00 am & have been open for only 5 months. A true hidden gem! read more

They open at 5:30 am on weekdays. On your way to work you can grab a dozen donuts or a bunch of donut holes and be the most popular person for the day. This is not a chain store, friendly family owned. They have other breakfast-like food but the donuts are the best choice. The only draw back to this location is the parking. They have a variety of donut selections, drinks and kolaches as well. The person that was there was very friendly and answered all our questions. Coming home and trying the donuts, they are very light and taste real good! We will surely comeback again to try other items in the menu!

The young man and the woman working there were friendly. They added a couple of donut holes to my bag which was a nice little treat while I waited for my burrito. You get a full breakfast with this burrito. It was packed with eggs, potato, bacon and cheese. The combined flavors were delicious together. Sometimes, I don't prefer bigger burritos because I might get a bite of only dry potato. This burrito was full of flavor with each bite. They give you a side of green salsa which I didn't try because it was at the bottom of the bag and I didn't know it was there. Next time I will add it! And, the croissant donut - YUM! It was light, fluffy, sprinkled with sugar to add a little sweetness. The layers of the croissant and airy glazed donut melt in your mouth. The parking situation can be a little tricky when visiting for the first time, but I found that there is also parking on the south side of the building.

They also made sure I tried the churro donut which I guess was the do not miss item. Although I only got a bite because I believe it was everyone else's favorite, I do remember it being delicious. We got cream filled jelly filled chocolate filled and assortment of beautifully decorated treats. The portions were actually very large and most of the adults opted to split the donuts in half. The children had a wonderful time and insisted that we all go back. I really appreciate finding a place like this that could step in and help direct me making my selections.. The owner was on site today making breakfast sandwiches and burritos and his son was manning the donut counter and register. Both were so friendly and accommodating and when the son found out it was our first time, he generously shared some bite sized cronuts with us because that's one of their specialities. They also have yeast and cake style donuts as well as cinnamon rolls, fritters, kolaches and donut holes. (We got there after a busy morning so go early if you want the full selection of options) Yeast donuts were so light, it was amazing how airy and fluffy they were, not overly sweet which I appreciated. My favorite was the cake donut, it was so light and buttery had that perfect "crispy" outside with a great chew inside. And this will sound weird but every bite was better and by the end it had an almost creaminess. I wished I had ordered more of those.
