I was extremely patient with him despite his irresponsible and unprofessional business practices. He kept giving me the run around for a year and a half. Each time I popped up there and checked in by calling weekly like his wife requested still the run around. Rick was nice most of time saying I have you next but his rude chain smoking wife not so much. The vehicles panels were welded improperly, areas like floor pans were left crumpled up, corrosion protective coating was not applied in some areas, major structural body members were installed crooked, and the paint was terrible. The insurance company decided to deem the vehicle a complete loss because it would take a lot of cash to fix all the mistakes. The part that makes me very mad is how the staff at Gerber kept trying to convince my wife and I that the twisted up mess that they created was acceptable. Do not trust these people. Dropped off car once they called that parts were in...estimated 3 days for repairs with a 2day cushion for painting. 21 days later they called to say it could be picked up. The quality appears ok. I called repeatedly to inquire status, did receive a couple of updates over the 3 weeks, but never a response to my inquiries. The car was returned with a near-dead battery, the charging terminal cover was loose in the engine compartment. The customer service feedback and response was non-existent. Not sure about the rest of the operation there. But if I were you, I would avoid Al Serra

It could still be a week or more before your car gets "written in" to be seen by a technician. Apparently, the Business Development Center just schedules appointments, even for tows, which doesn't mean your car will be seen. Per Erica, who advised, she was the only one who could schedule cars that get towed in.
