What a terrible experience. Over 2 hour wait for a shrimp basket and a BLT and my wife's baked potato was the smallest $6 potato I've ever seen. My son upgraded from chips to French fries and they charged the full price of the side for the upgrade. Since we hadn't planned on 3 hours for dinner, two of us had to leave without getting to eat anything. $63 bill for bar food takeout. Last trip to that dive. I left feeling like I was robbed. This is the restaurant/lounge right in the center of Osceola on Lincoln Way. It is the place with the big blue sign that reads "Mr. G's" surrounded by running lights. Given this information, it is hard to miss when driving across town. My wife and I are regulars at this place. Food is reasonably priced. I've found that Friday afternoons are the most crowded time to stop by at this establishment and Sunday at noontime is the least crowded time, but only according to my personal experience!!! I haven't been there during any of the concerts, but I expect that I gets even more crowded then. There is a lot of entertainment available in addition to the aforementioned concerts, as there are also pool tables, dart boards, and a few arcade games available to play and lots of flat-screen TVs to watch. read more

I stopped here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed my meal. Employees and customers were very friendly and helpful. The space seems clean and all employees are wearing masks. I sat at the bar and was served in a speedy manner. This visit not so pleasant. Same bartender as my first visit but totally different attitude! I guess she's having a bad day. I absolutely love going here for their Thursday night prime rib dinner. It is a great meal at a decent price. I really wouldn't call this place a restaurant, it's more like a bar that serves good food. I definitely recommend you visit this place because I know I will return soon! read more

We had the most horrible service at Mr. G's in Oceola tonight!!! I downloaded a coupon for a free appetizer last week. I had until tomorrow to use it. So, I figured we would take advantage of it tonight as I worked late and didn't feel like cooking. They kept putting in the wrong coupon code (They were trying to use a 6 digit pin, when the app only allowed a 4 digit number). They then charged us for the "free" meal, and accused us of being liars and thieves. Claiming that we tried to use the same coupon numerous times, and made me delete the app in front of them so that "I wouldn't keep taking advantage of their business". It was HUMILIATING! They did not even know the coupon code to their own app, then tried to turn the situation around to try and make it look like we were trying to scam them. Very rude owner and staff!!! My husband has been a patron of this restaurant for years, and even used to pay them to park his semi in the lot they owned across the street. He had lunch there almost daily. We have always paid full price at this establishment, and tip very well. The last time we had dinner I noticed an advertisement posted throughout the restaurant that offered a free appetizer if I texted "mrg" to a 6 digit number. As I mentioned before, I noticed my coupon was going to expire tomorrow and decided to use it. Had I known I would be accused of being a liar and a thief for doing so I wouldn't have bothered. To make matters worse we could hear the staff laughing and ridiculing us. We paid for everything and made a quick exit. It was a very humiliating experience. After 15 years of being patrons of this establishment we will not be returning. My husband is a truck driver, and I have been in the nursing field for 15 years. We do not need to run around trying to score shitty $6.00 appetizers from local businesses. We were only trying to use a well advertised coupon. read more

Didn't realize this was a smoking establishment. In addition to that, the diet pop tasted terrible. We had to flag the waitress who was socializing with other customers. She said she forgot she hadn't taken our order yet. We ordered the bacon burger which was good. But then waitress forgot to bring us our check and we had to find her to pay so we could leave. read more

Been a long time since visited G's. Great menu selection and everything from tenderloin to prime rib was fantastic. Largest wings I've seen and wonderfully hand dipped and fried chicken to perfection with traditional sauces. Fish was awesome and all was well portioned. Service was great. Visit them in Osceola and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Will be back for sure! read more

Went here for Halloween party 1985. Beer was good , staff was nice , but I stuck 6$ in dart game. As I was playing a guy got in my face wanting to fight and claiming he is the owner. Said I was wasting his money because he stuck 5$ in and went outside to smoke. I just wanted a good night so I left. read more

Do not go into this restaurant expecting cool, chic, or upscale. Mr. G's is dive bar in a small town. It is an OC institution and many of the people there have been there for years! It is my favorite burger place. Their food is always good. This is simple bar food at it's best. If you like local bands, this is the place to go. Things can get rowdy here, but it is always a good time. read more

Great neighborhood bar. The pork tenderloin sandwich is a favorite. We leave before the bands start because it can be a bit loud and I have a hearing issue, so if we stay until the band starts I'm basically def and unable to hear anyone. Friendly staff. I do wish it wasnt so cigarette smoke filled though. read more

This is a classic dive bar in Osceola Indiana. It was game day so the service was great. The burger was good. The beer was cold. Expect the crowd to call out "queer" to the football players on TV, because that's all you can expect. read more
