Everything was clean, quiet, and our hosts were extremely friendly. The game room was great, and the girlfriend even got in a quick workout on the elliptical machine. Getting out to South Bend for at least 1 game a year is a tradition- we will definitely book here again.

Walls are solid; can't hear other people. Had a recliner and a coach as well. Nice fresh breakfast. Friendly hosts. Easy access to downtown South Bend and several attractions.

We stayed in one of their gorgeous renovated Notre Dame themed rooms which are super cool. The breakfast was pretty good and they had bacon which we never get at any hotel we stay in (we stay in many hotels across many states every year for dog events). You can also make your own waffles. They have free coffee, juice, etc. as well. We loved everything about this hotel except I felt the beds were hard and the DOG FEE is astronomical. For only 1 night the dog fee was $80 ($75+$5 tax) and I had to sign a form stating dogs were NOT allowed on any furniture OR on the beds. I don't allow the dogs on the couches and chairs anyway but the beds? What exactly is the $80 fee for then? A few dog hairs on the floor is all there was when we left. We had to bring the dog crates up for them to sleep in all night. We will not be returning if we have dogs with us. If you're going to charge $80 for a 1 night dog fee, at least you can allow them to sleep on top of the bed. Otherwise, the rooms are super cute decorated with the Notre Dame theme and it's right across the street from the University.

The condition of this property was unacceptable. It's evident that basic cleaning, maintenance, and quality repairs have been neglected for a very long time. The deterioration is so extensive that I'm honestly not sure how they could bring this hotel up to an acceptable standard without a major renovation--or demolition at this point. It takes a lot for us to walk away from more than $500 and drive home rather than use rooms we already paid for, but that should tell you just how bad the conditions were. No hotel charging these kinds of rates should ever be presented to guests in this condition.

The toilet and shower are separate from the vanity. They have a really good hot breakfast selection normally included with the stay. The elevator was down this time but I packed light, so it was no big deal. I received an email a few days before to let me know it was down. Which was thoughtful. Highly recommend staying here and it's right off of Notre Dame's campus. No pics, there are plenty on this platform to show the amenities.

Our unit had small refrigerator, microwave, and individual keurig. The breakfast was amazing and they even had fresh salsa. They have grab and go coffee which we enjoyed along our travels. These chains need to stop serving the mystery meat. It's carcinogenic and totally unhealthy. Only person I saw take it was a morbidly obese grandmother giving it to her ~ 8 yo grandson along with some colorful Cheerios. She got No fruit although there was a good selection of sliced melon, blueberry, whole banana and apple. European hotels would never serve this low quality food.

As we went to leave, we checked out at the front desk and all the employees were very friendly and we're only interested if everything worked well for us. If I only have one thing to change in that hotel, it would be a little extra lighting in the handicap room. Absolutely put this on our list. The next time we come through South Bend. We've stayed at Holiday Inn express from New York down to Florida and from New York to Arizona and back.
