Tour of the rooms used for hosting weddings and receptions
    Doc M.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Beiger Mansion for our 10th wedding anniversary. It was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. We had ample parking roadside. We began to appreciate the grand scale of this magnificent structure as we walked up the circle drive. Inside you start to appreciate the luxurious restorations all hand performed by the owner Ron as a culmination of his 30+ years in construction and interior design. The collection of pristinely preserved antiques are displayed through every inch of the interior. Despite the uniqueness of each piece, Ron has found a way to tie each room of the expansive 20+ thousand foot interior together perfectly, mirroring the original builders intent in the mid 1800s. We stayed in the stunning and spacious master suite, with its gold flecked walls with deep navy fleur de lis and double chandeliers cast a warm glow on our special anniversary. Ron provided a dura-flame log every evening, which burns clean in the functional fireplace. Every aspect to our lodgings supported elegance, from the sumptuous chaise lounges to the oriental themed paneled room divider. For these exhausted parents of two early elementary children, we felt like royalty. Ron and Dennis both hosted us in the wood paneled state dining room, where we could sit in a windowed corner sipping hot coffee made fresh and take in the grandeur. Our breakfast was custom made to our preferences with perfectly crafted vegetarian omelettes with maple bacon and well seasoned hash. Ron even fetched our dinner one evening from a restaurant downtown so we wouldn't have to leave our room! I had no idea this gem was hidden in Northern Indiana but I cannot recommend a stay Ron and Dennis's bed and breakfast enough. Thank you both for your accommodations and can't wait to stay again soon.

The navigation was a little confusing and check in was up stair not drive up type I'm use too. Once we entered the front area had fresh tea, both regular & decaffeinated coffee and fresh chocolate chip cookies . Elevator was a little outdated but it worked fine. The rooms were spacious. Our unit had small refrigerator, microwave, and individual keurig. The breakfast was amazing and they even had fresh salsa. They have grab and go coffee which we enjoyed along our travels. Will plan on doing this stop again. Loved it!!

Our room came with a fridge, microwave, Kerig machine, and glass stemless wine glasses. It also includes a round table and 2 chairs, a full size desk, and a dresser under the flat screen tv. There is wireless internet. I didn't use it. And a bench to put your suitcase. In the basement they have a hospitality room, gym, laundry. We did a load. It's $1.75 per load. The wash takes 30 minutes and the dryer runs an hour. It did a good job and on medium my jeans and socks were fully dry. They have change for the machine and soap packets for $1. The bed was firm and I got a good nights sleep. The king bed comes with 5 pillows. Breakfast was phenomenal. Three choices: scrambled, omelet, over medium. Breakfast burritos, hash browns, sausages, toast, bagels, bacon, cold cereal, oatmeal packets, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. All complementary. 6-9am. I recommend this place and would stay here again. $10 off with Yelp checking with reservations.

Breakfast is free and same quality as nearby Hilton which charges $10.50 for nearly identical fare: scrambled eggs, salsa, oatmeal, mystery meat, etc. Hilton has more staff and better construction. These chains need to stop serving the mystery meat. It's carcinogenic and totally unhealthy. Only person I saw take it was a morbidly obese grandmother giving it to her ~ 8 yo grandson along with some colorful Cheerios. She got No fruit although there was a good selection of sliced melon, blueberry, whole banana and apple. European hotels would never serve this low quality food.

Travis is the man!…read more We came here for a hockey tournament over the MLK weekend. The first game wasn't until 1pm on a Saturday and with check-in being 3pm, we didn't think we'd be able to sneak in at 10am. Lo and behold, we were pleasantly surprised with Travis and his manager's decision to graciously allow us to check in early. After an almost 3-hour car ride, it was nice to get an hour to lay down and take a break from the car. The hotel room was clean and thankfully void of any smells, especially smoke related. It was a little tight for any more than two grown men, but we did have to get a king room so other larger hockey families could take the double beds. The bathroom had a glass partition versus a curtain, something I look for in a proper hotel. The lobby was modern with a lot of seating and places to enjoy the complementary breakfast. The staffing all around was friendly and helpful, with pleasant greetings and smiles. Overall, a decent value for the price. Decent facilities and the perfect location for a hockey tourney. We'd come back again!
