I bought my first gun here. There was nothing special about the place, but nothing terrible. They were friendly enough, I suppose, and not dismissive like Silver Bullet. The selection is not great but they did have a gun in stock that was close enough to what I wanted that I compromised and overlooked the differences. I have no serious complaints, except that their hours are terrible (for my schedule) and they're almost always closed when I would otherwise go there. Also, it is hard to take a place seriously with a name like "Mr. Gun Dealer". I would definitely shop from them again (if open), but I tend to prefer Barracks 616 just a bit. read more

I bid on a gun with GUNBROKER.com won it on 2/28.I contacted these clowns. Yhey said take a photo of the check and text I did..3 days later i call waited 30 min NOANSWER leave a message they will call back..A JOKE! After i finely get ahold of some one they could care less about my gun... cend a check ...2 weeks later I call they cashed it on 3/8 wait 10 days for it to clear actually 14 days....call again they tell me my check bounced..BS call last time going ship 2 days later after I screamed at then they sent my gun out!!! 5 weeks..their phone message stresses CS! This review is only about my experience with Mr.Gun dealer. It's a Shame to see all of the negative reviews on here about M.G.D. I have personally never had any issues with this business, I've been to this location about 4-6 times in the past year and they've gone relatively well for me, every time. Granted I've not yet purchased a firearm from here, all I ever do is purchased ammo and ask questions about things I'm ignorant too, but still no big issues and I've often felt, the people were nice, the store was clean and well run. Then again I've not yet ordered online from them and probably won't, given the horror stories of reviews on here. In conclusion, I would only recommend M.G.D to people who are already customers, who have had no issues with them and or people who are willing to take the risk to order online or go here in IRL. read more

It was a very disappointing experience. They held my check for 10-14 business days, (which is per policy), and then cashed it, but would not send my order. They then held the money they'd taken from my account for another 10-14 days, (AFTER THEY CASHED THE CHECK). I called, and they gave me a BS explanation as to why they were keeping my money for another 10-14 days without sending the order. Of course, that's just a semi-dishonest way to hold customers money to make interest, but why not go ahead and ship their order??? At any rate, please be aware of such shady behavior if you choose to do business with them. I almost ran out of ammo waiting for over a month to receive my order. read more

I purchased a gun on Gunbroker.com. I paid immediately and awaited the shipment with anticipation. I received notification on my phone that UPS shipped the gun back to the dealer. UPS would not tell me why. So I contacted Mr. Gun Dealer via Gunbroker.com site and left a message to contact me in order to get the gun I purchased. I did not receive any response. I called Mr. Gun Dealer and got Mike on the phone. I seamed to be clueless. He had no answers for me and didn't seem to know how to get answers. I felt somewhat scammed. so I told him to cancel the order and refund my payment. He put me on hold and said ok. I received only partial refund so I called back. Mike informed me there would be a restocking fee. I told him I never received the gun, therefore it would be ludicrous to charge me such a fee. He hung up on me. I had to resolve it thru Visa. Called and the guy on the phone says the documentation I have would work(drivers license with previous address since I just moved or military ID paired with my registration that has my current address). Went there and was turned down. Pulled up 27 CFR 178.124 that states those documents may be used and he says "key word is may be used" "I'm not going to accept it". Purchase a gun on gun broker on 12/3. Paid for it right away and spoke to someone less than a hour of the purchase because they needed some paperwork sent over. After a week of the status being awaiting to ship I called the store only to be informed that they over sold the gun I purchased and paid for. Mr Gun Dealer had an OK deal on a pre-owned pistol so I asked what was included. The rep said whatever came in with it. "Three mags and the box." We did paperwork and they never showed me the contents of the box. Prior to walking out, I wanted to verify what I had been told. To my surprise, they shorted me a mag. What a shit show...had a gun delivered to their shop and they wouldn't transfer it to me because they said I had to first change my address on my license since I now owned a 2nd home. Did that, waited a week and a half to get a sticker to update my license and what did they do? Put my "old" address on the paperwork. I purchased on AMMO SEEKER 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo. I was having it sent to my Michigan location and my Florida location. They only sent 500 to my Florida address and never sent the other 500 to my Michigan address as they were ordered with same billing and two different ship to addresses. It was available under there order process on site to do that process. They never contacted me and never sent any ammo to my Michigan address but took all money for the 1000 rounds on my credit card and when I called to complain. They said they wouldn't refund the amount for the 500 never sent to Michigan address since (I canceled order). BUT THE PROBLEM IS I NEVER CANCELLED ANY OF THE AMMO. THEY DIDN'T TELL ME TILL I CHECKED MY AMX account and called to see where my ammo was. They said we cancelled it!!!!!! I am guessing they didn't have it all, but then they charged me a cancellation fee for ammo I never cancelled. They refused to give me the full amount for the 500 rounds they cancelled. I'm writing this review after "ONLY" have dealt with this FFL on MANY of my purchases. I order guns regularly through gunbroker, using this as my main FFL because of the $25 transfer fee. Upon receiving notification from FedEx that my item has been delivered, I give them a few hours to handle business as usual. Upon calling and verifying the item has INDEED arrived and I'll be on my way, I arrive to "it's going to be a few days cause we're really busy" as there are 3 people standing behind the counter and I'm the only one in the store...frustration starts at a hush they say.
