I was not optimistic about the time frame for restoration or the process for putting our nightmare behind us. Van Dam was on the job the same day as the flood, brought in huge dehumidifiers and a zillion fans and had the entire basement demolishened and dry in no time. After working out a quote for the insurance company and us agreeing to the scope of the work, everything moved very fast. I was in construction for 20 years, and I know how a well-run job works. I've also found that it's rare! Van Dam, their employees, and their contractors were amazing to work with! Shane and Darrien, their carpenters, and general go to people, were very professional and did expert work. Rob, my project manager was always prompt to respond and to get things done. We had about 800 square feet of finished basement and from the time they started to its completion, it was only about a month. The renovation included replacing drywall, removing and replacing a subfloor, painting, baseboard, removal and reinstallation of bathroom fixtures and cabinets, carpet and plank flooring, They moved the furniture and put it all back when they were done. All in all, I am very thankful for the work Van Dam did for us and I would highly recommend them to all my family and friends.

He did a GREAT job at a very fair price. His quote was $50 higher than the lowest quote I got - but Ben got the job because I liked him immediately when he came to do an in-person estimate - while the lower bidder gave me an estimate based on a "satellite picture" - not in person. That factor is important to me, as it should be to others. Ben told me he could make my deck (which I last cleaned 15 years ago) look like it was brand new as well - so he power washed that about 10 days ago. He was 100% correct - because my deck now looks absolutely amazing - just like brand new. His price on the deck job was very fair as well. Trust me folks - you can't (and won't) go wrong using Ben. And your bank account will thank you as well.

After waiting two and a half hours, I contacted them and was told an emergency job popped up. We agreed to reschedule. They didn't arrive for the second agreed upon time and after waiting fifteen minutes I contacted them and was told there were two jobs ahead of me and they would let me know the ETA. I never heard back from them. This company is not serious about their commitments. I am very disappointed I allowed myself to be taken advantage of more than once.

This group get's a 4 and I'll tell you, as I work with him more, his rating will reflect his service capabilities. BE SPECIFIC when quoting jobs with Dave and take good notes.

As a result of the clog, our driveway was flooded and it came close to flooding our garage floors, Advantage sent to service guys the day after I called, and a separate truck with a huge pump and power spraying capability. They used the up to 8000psi pump to shot a powerful stream of water into both ends of the drain tile. It took about 45 minutes to unclog and clean the tile. They used all of their 400 gallon water tank and did a great job! About $600.
