Never go to mister lube if I could give zero stars I would. On April 23rd I went to Mr. Lube for a oil change. A few. Weeks later. My car stopped working.Had a check engine light on. Had the car towed to mitsubishi. And They found Mr lube over Filled the oil. And blown the motor in the car. The car is only supposed to have 3 L oil. And mitsubishi drained 4.5 L. Called Mr lube to see what what the standard amount is for a standard oil change. And they told me 6 L on the phone. I filed a complaint to their head office and the better business bureau and they sent it to their insurance company. So far, they deny any wrongdoing whatsoever. And seems to be taking no responsibility. Long story short, never bring your car to Mr. Lube. read more

This was the slowest service that I have ever received. When I complained via an email request from Mr. Lube for feedback, I was called and spoken to in a very condescending and ignorant rude manner. It was either the Manager or owner named Peter that I was speaking with. I will never be back. I strongly recommend that people stop going there. I knew my truck needed an oil change soon and since I was driving home from church, I thought it was convenient that they Mr. Lube were opened on a Sunday in Saint John East NB Canada. Went in, seemed fine at first. Young man convinced me that it was time for a coolant flush as well, so I agreed. After work was completed, I paid and drove out of the Bay area and onto the road where I discovered my steering wheel locking. I had to forcefully steer the truck back to Mr. Lube and have them investigate what happened. At first they were not convinced they had anything to do with my steering wheel locking and suggested I take it to get fixed. However, I persisted that they help me. To everyone's surprise the same young man who convinced me for a coolant flush, dropped a large socket into the drive shaft and didn't bother telling anyone!!! I asked if this socket damaged anything and I was told it had not. My oil change was reimbursed which I thought was appropriate. However, not even a week later, as I was driving 5 mins from my house, I turned on the AC and heard a loud noise come from my engine, next thing I see is a notification on my dash board that my engine is overheating, I look to gauges and needle is at the red line!!!! I had to pull over on side of road. Pop the hood, and low and behold NO anti-freeze in reservoir!!! Lucky I had a large 4 liter bottle of water in my truck. Filled reservoir and drove back home. I connected with an auto mechanic and described what happened. I was told that when doing a coolant flush, the line needs to be tested to make sure no air gaps are in it by turning on the AC. Well this same young man did not ask me to perform this step. So the mechanic suspected that this air gap expanded from heat causing the coolant pipe to burst. Listen I can't just blame this young man, it is the fault of the hiring staff or the the teaching staff to make sure the new service personnel know what they are doing and take accountability. Now I have to get it towed to auto mechanics, costing me more money and inconvenience. So NEVER AGAIN. read more

*Never going back, contacted main office, contacted the police their suggestion is to bring to a mechanic to see if there was any tempering, doing that Monday, and to contact a civil lawyer. Also contacted the BBB to submit official complaint* This is wrong on many levels, possibly criminal but obviously hard to prove. Never going back, be aware folks. I brought my car in for an oil change and undercoating on Sat, Oct 26, around 2 pm. I was suggested to change my transmission fluid; however, I did not ask for that to be checked, nor was I able to pay for that service at the time, and there were no issues with my car running. On the way home, after a 10-minute drive to burn off the undercoating residue, the vehicle started to stall, and the transmission began to click. I brought the car back to tell them, and they told me it must have been like this before I came in today. This is false; my car was running perfectly before bringing it to them. When I asked why my car would start to stall and the transmission began to click after they checked my fluid, they said it must be either a coincidence or it was stalling and clicking before and told me to go to a mechanic. This is wrong; something was either done or not done correctly, or they contaminated the transmission fluid and are taking no responsibility; they are blaming me. read more

Make an appointment somewhere else if you can. Waited far too long and the employees were unable to keep track of who was next. I watched the few cars ahead of me get service and then they called on cars who arrived 10-20 minutes after I did. Then when I was parked waiting at the bat I watched multiple cars pass through the lanes next to me as I continued to wait. Total wait 1h 45 mins. This Is not a spot I would go if I didnt need service immediately and had time to make an appointment another day. read more

This is more of a review to show that some people don't want to help others. My husband and I just got a flat tire. We could see them standing around. It was 10 after seven they closed at seven. My husband asked if he could just get a little bit of air so we could make it home. And they said no. They were closed. Whatever happened to the days when people actually wanted to help others. It would have taken 5 min. I understand they were closed but myself could not have turned someone away. read more

The Saint John East location near Costco is a disaster. This is the most disorganized and unprofessional place I've ever been to in my life. I will be recommending to anyone I know to never drive your car near this place. Unimaginable how bad it is and I'm hoping the word continues to get out how bad it is. Do not go to this Mr.Lube location. Came in for an oil change, told them I want an oil change and that is it. Super pushy staff trying to upsell you on whatever they possibly can. Asked for an oil change they were right in my vehicle pulling out filters, etc. looked me dead in the eye and told me my radiator fluid "HAD TO BE CHANGED" had to do it, they said. So I let them..../ big mistake. After leaving from my oil change with a 500$ bill my van never worked right again. Starting overheating immediately after I left. I called and explained it to them and the owner ended up driving to my house to look at it because "one of his new guys was working on it" tells me there were air in the lines and he fixed it. It was fixed in a sense, it ran without overheating as long as I didn't turn my a/c on (really fun in the summer) fast forward to September when I turn my heat on for the first time and low and behold it doesn't work. Van is now overheating again every time I drive it. Take it to my mechanic who opens the radiator and shows me that it appears to be filled with sand. He thought they put stop leak in it and destroyed my engine (on my 10 year old vehicle) he refused to even touch it. Took it for a second opinion to another mechanic who said no it's not stop leak they didn't properly flush your radiator when they said they did it was full of dirt and debris. They ended up taking apart my radiator and flushing the entire system out and after another 350$ paid to that mechanic it now runs fine. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN ACUAL MECHANIC IT MAY NOT BE CONVENIENT BUT YOU WILL THANK ME IN THE LONG RUN IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR I WOULD. read more

They let me know what should be done with my car but we're not at all pushy about it. They checked in with us often while working. All employees seem to lend a helping hand to everyone around. We have a Jeep that hasn't been getting a lot of time on the road because it needed work done. We had winter tires installed on it in October of 2019 so we could have that part of it legal for the road. Unbeknownst to us they stripped one of the nuts and the bolt, and it's basically impossible for one person to remove it on their own with the proper tools. We went in to see if they could at least remove the bad nut. The guy we spoke to basically started screaming at us and saying that they did what they were supposed to properly and we were nothing but effing liars because they don't screw anything up. We told them we'd be letting a few people know about their unprovoked screaming at us and just overall nasty attitude towards customers and he threatened to sue us if we gave him or his business a bad name. Very unprofessional treatment and overall business conduct. Won't be returning to shitty service like this again. Last time they disconnected something under one of our vehicles and didn't hook it back up,which caused a few costly issues afterwards and tried saying that time it wasn't their fault. Once was bad enough, but twice is definitely a huge red flag to not go back there. read more
