Put money back into broken car wash's , fire rude lady in customer service, one of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with customer service ,, rude.. wouldn't help just about hung up on me, use clean water in washing cars, So it doesn't leave white spots, clean up property , weeds taller than a person . This Mr. Magic Car Wash is the one nearest to me right now, so I stop by semi-regularly due to convenience. That said, "convenience" to me means "drive time" - the location itself is not ideal. If you're driving on the side of Washington Pike opposite from the car wash, too bad so sad, you'll have to find a way to turn around and get on the correct side. And if you miss the turn into the entrance itself, again: too bad so sad, get ready to do a partial loop back around to try again. Once you successfully turn into the lot you'll need to drive past the full length of the car wash building to make your purchase. And then after paying you'll make a fairly sharp turn back into the building you just drove by; sometimes it feels like even my little Civic is barely inching past the lot's wall here. At least once you're inside it's the same old-same-old routine: car in neutral, hands off the steering wheel, sit back for the ride. If I could give half-stars my review would be a 3.5. The layout is not perfect and the location can pose a challenge or two, but once you're moving through the wash things are pretty routine. I do wish they'd bring back the free Mr. Magic wipes, though - they were perfect for giving the interior of my car some TLC on wash day, too! read more

Honestly I just don't get this place. First they remove the booths where you can pay and install automated kiosks to reduce their payroll. But then they force employees to stand by the kiosk and chat you up because they found a machine is incapable of upselling. Then they stopped taking cash altogether. So we bought a membership and on occasion my wife would pay extra to get the enhanced wash. Now they have eliminated that option and they force you to upgrade your entire membership and pay for all deluxe washes. We're looking for someplace new. Seems like another great example of MBA's destroying what was once a great business. read more

Avoid at all costs . Damaged my vehicle while I was the filling out a damage report to my vehicle another customer came in saying they ripped something off there vehicle as well. Wow and they won't fix my damages or reimburse me I guess I'll see em in court. read more

I used to come here every other week to get my car washed. Great deals, free wipe for my interior and free vacuums. The last time I went there everything changed, it's like they were trying to be the new car wash down the street. Touch screen entry to pick your wash, no free cloth to wipe down my car and the price of the washes went up!! Along with the new prices and names of the washes, I bought the wash right below the most expensive, my tires were still covered in dirt along with the "tire shine" mixed in. It looked terrible. I came here to get the salt off my car and noticed that the staff made sure you car was clean is gone! Yet when I check in I still get the $4.00 off the signature car wash. I asked the man who took my money and he said that the staff wanted to change things up a bit but they now use "cloth" wipers to clean your car. In the past when I had purchased the signature wash I was given an orange sticky to apply to the front of the car so that they would know I requested upgrades. They no longer have the interior cleaning area but that's not a biggie for me since I can do that in my garage. When I pulled up to the open bay I told the man I paid for the signature wash and he said he knew. How could he have known with all the cars going through it? I did the usual bit, put my car in neutral and watched as the soap and water blinded my vision until it was air dried. They have an auto light telling you when you can pull out but I could see that there were spots and streaks on my windows especially my side view ones. In the past their crew would come out and towel dry both the inside entrances as well as your mirrors and any remaining moisture. What attracted me to this place at first was that my car was newer and wanted to avoid scratches. Since my car is a bit older that is no longer an issue with me. In the future I was stick only to the basic exterior wash. There are plenty of other places who don't even charge as much for a basic wash and that's good enough for me. It truly is a shame since I had once thought highly of this place. It is what it is. Be aware so you don't overspend since you have no way of knowing what there signature wash consists of outside of you getting a car towelette. read more

I just left here and it is now an automatic carwash. For 18 bucks I expect to come out with a clean vehicle, instead I still have bird mess on my hood and the tire brightener did nothing for my vehicle. I got pushed thru by a female worker who used a mop on the back and that was it. She didn't touch the tires or the front hood. They should of left it the way it was with actual people cleaning your vehicle. That would at least justify the price!! I always came out with a clean vehicle back when people actually washed my vehicle. So VERY DISAPPOINTED that you chose to go this route with the business. I would always recommend this car wash in the past but not anymore. I doubt I will ever go back. read more

I was told you call on Monday morning to setup an appointment to get car detailed. Store opens at 8 AM I call at 8:01 man answers the phone and stated that they whole car wash system is down and can I please call back because he needs to talk to maintenance. I agree and call back at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30 all with answering machine. I leave a message for a call back and wait until 4:30. No one calls me back so I try again. A man answers the phone and tells me they are all booked for the week. When I ask him why no one called me back after I was told to do so at 8:01 he tells me there is nothing he can do. So I did all that he asked and should have been first on the list since the original guy would not take my info due to HIS issue and I was understanding!! I go there all the time but will never go back again. This was very bad (lack of) customer service!! read more

New ownership and employees are awful. Zero effort into actually cleaning your car. No presoak, no bug removal, cheaper chemicals, no cleaning the back of the car... you literally have to go through twice to get your car halfway clean. This is probably the best full service car wash in Pittsburgh. I usually wash the exterior and interior of my vehicles myself but sometimes it just isn't possible. When this happens, I go here. There are several Mr. Magic car washes around Pittsburgh but this one is the only hand wash location. The first time you go there it is a bit strange. Your car will enter a traditional car wash tunnel but will stop a few times at different "stations". At each stop, workers gather around your car and do there thing. It's almost like a pit crew. This location also offers interior cleaning services. After the wash, you will pull into a canopy area and get out when two retailers clean the inside of your car. This can take a while so don't be in a hurry. They do a fantastic job cleaning the inside and always seem to take their time to ensure a good job. Overall, I highly recommend this location. Very friendly staff who do great work. read more

I'm nervous when it comes to car wash businesses that use the brush systems. I was told about this place due to my fear of the brush service. I was unable to exit my car due to a small child, which made me unable to go to a self wash place. When I arrived at this place their employees were informative and courteous. The service was spectacular! My car looked amazing when they were finished. I used the signature service with an interior Window cleaning. They washed a broken down car! I visited this location on the first sunny, mid-70s Saturday of the year, meaning there was a line extending all the way to the street. Despite heavy traffic they kept the line moving, and when I requested full service (meaning an interior cleaning as well as the exterior wash) they were very upfront about how long the wait would be based on demand. Then it got interesting. Smoke started to billow out of the hood of the car that was next up to enter the wash. The driver turned off her car and walked into the wash for help, and without delay workers helped her identify the problem (a leaking radiator), and when they found the car would no longer start they proceeded to push her car into the wash and clean the car!! Needless to say, I was impressed. There was no delay in the line, they kept the victim of car failure calm, and they still delivered her the service she'd been waiting for. I couldn't see what happened once her wash was completed, but I have to assume they pushed her to the neighboring auto shop as well. The best part - the several workers who serviced my car did a terrific job. It hasn't looked cleaner since before the first time I let a kid eat inside of it! read more

Rare to find hand car washes these days. Automatic Washes are too harsh on the paint and make the vehicle's paint 'swirl central' and touchless washes just don't cut it. Just like any other car wash place, your car is put on an 'assemby line' like belt that keeps you car moving and machines spray chemicals on your vehicle, but there are multple humans that do the actual rubbing of the paint and cleaning of wheels.This place does use some aggressive dishwashing pad type plastic sponges, but they limit it to bumpers for removing bugs. Of course, they won't change the wash mitts or drying towels for every vehicle they do (I don't think that can be a sustainable busness model), but they do a good job cleaning and drying your vehicle and I always leve here satisfied. Plus it keeps a lot more kids employed than your average automatic car wash. read more

Beyond disappointed in this place. Last Christmas my fiancé bought me a 50 "signature washes" gift card for my stocking. I was able to use it maybe 3 or 4 times before the collier location closed and underwent renovation turning it into an automatic car wash. Before the renovation, the employees used to actually hand wash your car and dry out the doors. Now it's just like the car wash GetGo offers for double/triple the cost. On top of things, they don't allow me to go in with my bike rack attached. I would never spend $500.00 (cost of the gift card) or whatever the current price is for a signature wash. There are always charitable car washes on Washington pike road. I would much rather give them my money, but I'm now stuck with a gift card. read more

Temporarily closed when I visited 9/14/15 for repairs. Went back later and they're open again but from what I heard will not be doing interiors anymore. This was the main reason I went to this location, so not sure if I'll be going back. The new drive thru wash system is good though. read more

The best "full service" wash I've ever been to. They do a great job on the inside and outside of your car. They take their time and do it right. Mine took an hour or so do to a backlog of customers. Mr Magic washed my sons vehicle but they were asked to please make sure they did a better job this time because the last visit there,they left bugs on front. They made sure they did it but when he pulled out and stopped, he noticed that paint was now off his vehicle. He went over and told them and they wrote up a damage report assuring him that he would get a call in the morning with what info he needed for filing insurance claim.Well they called alright and denied doing any damage,even though employees saw that it happened and they asked if his car had a paint job (which it hadn't) and REFUSED to give insurance info. I would not have given any stars if I could as the only people there that cared were the ones who actually saw car before and after. I always gave them my business too but will no longer. And I will be happy to tell all my family and friends as well. They can now deal with my son's insurance company. He gave them the benefit of the doubt to do the right thing and they refused. Oh and his car is not some cheap junker. It's an expensive, nice vehicle. read more

I very been searching the area for a decent car wash and stopped here recently. Results were average/OK, car was not seriously dirty. I just have an issue with the touch and scrubing method. You just don't know what accumulation of dirt and grit is attached ( from previous cars) in the long "mop" rags that are being used to swab your car. Even minor surface scratches over time can ruin your cars paint and clear coat. It is also over priced considering only average results. 13 - 18 bucks for a 3 minute acar wash ( times two or three washes a month) that could be slowly sanding the paint right off your vehicle. There has to be a good, reasonable priced car wash some where near Carnegie? read more

I bought the $18 car wash. My car was not that dirty but there were some bugs and such on the front. The first time I went through, you couldn't even tell I washed it. I drive back around and they didn't hesitate to send me through again. However, it was STILL not clean. After having gone through an $18 car wash twice, my car was still not clean.
