You are going to get all kinds of reviews and it all depends on someones experience as we all know. Or sometimes perceived experience. I can only relate to anyone reading this my wife and my experience thus far with Mr. Music. I myself play guitar and sing, my wife sings. She wanted to play drums so I got her a set and started giving her some music I wrote to have her practice. But being a guitar player I could not show her the nuances of playing the drums. So I researched and looked around and it was important for me to find a giging musician to teach her. I found one that teaches and he is at Mr. Music. We have not been disappointed with his teaching her. He knows just how much to push to challenge her to keep her on a learning curve and keep it fun as well. We get to her lessons a little early and get to look around the shop and chat sometimes with the owner. Everyone has been very nice and approachable. They have other classes of course and other teachers, if they are as awesome as my wife's drum teacher Sean.... then you cannot go wrong. I can only say drop by sometime check out the place, have a chat with the owner...if you get a chance and they are available at the time, have a chat with the teacher for what ever you are interested in. See if things are a good fit for you. I do not think you can go wrong here. My wife's drum teacher also teaches Piano/keyboard...his name is Sean and he is really an awesome teacher. I have had lessons on a weekly basis for a year now. I have felt very fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience here from the staff at the desk to my instructor in the lesson and even the other students in the waiting room. Everyone here takes their roll here professionally and they are concerned about the experience for their students and families and are willing to offer such flexibility when needing to reschedule my lesson at last minute as to not forfeit my low payment and not to miss the education. They all are willing to work with their students and their families! I also love the opportunity for the recitals they have off site for the students to show off their talents to their family and friends! My 10 yr old girl has been taking piano lessons for about a year. I am very comfortable with the whole place. Bob is professional. He runs a smooth organization. There is a web site for scheduling. It is simply and changes are easy to make. My girl has been studying with Monica. She is very good both musically and with my girl, which is very important. My girl has come a long way and enjoys her lessons enough that she practices without reminder and NEVER tries to skip a lesson, which is NOT the case with some other activities. It seems like the other instructor are equally professional and personable, though that is not from first hand experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr Music to anyone at any level. read more

I've been taking lessons on different musical instruments, piano, bells, guitar, percussion, usually two or three lessons a week. I have found all the instructors I have had the privilege to work with, to be excellent. They know their instruments well and communicate in a friendly manner as well as being patient with me and letting me go at my own pace. I am highly satisfied with the quality of training I am getting and the presentation and pace of the teaching sessions. My son has been taking accordion lessons with David Magnante (the owner of Mr. Music) for 2 1/2 years and he now plays at an advanced level ; he had never played the accordion prior . Everyone at Mr. Music has always been very professional and helpful towards me and my son and the influence of him learning the accordion has had a very positive effect on his school success and also his self confidence in general . I have been a student at Mr. Music for almost 8 months now and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. We are extremely happy with Mr. Music. My son has been attending guitar lessons for 2 years and my daughter has been taking keyboard lessons for 1 year. We also rent my son's trumpet for band at school. We love attending classes, enjoy working with Bob, and the instructors are amazing. Mr Music is a great music shop. The employees are very knowledgeable and the variety of instruments that you can purchase and/or rent is fantastic. I've been to several different music stores and this one is extremely well rounded. All lessons are given on site which is so much easier than trying to coordinate lessons with someone off site.
