We had to get the place blown and dried out, replace all the woods, our basement was leaked as well. My parents called ServiceMaster and was helped by Jared Huisken, the owner. This was the very first time my family had experienced anything like this since we owned the house, and had no experience in anything including disaster response, clean up, or calling and claiming insurance. Jared was extremely nice and helpful to my parents, told my parents exactly what goes into the estimation and what any insurance would be able to (but will never inform them) to cover. He walked us through the entire process with the kindness of his heart and including all the details that my family wouldn't even consider or thought of, especially in time of crisis like this. His team of professionals were quick, fast, and knew exactly what they were doing in order to help my family get through some unexpected events like this. Thank you for all of your help, we appreciate services like your and the "going-above-and-beyond" attitude that puts our family's perspective in mind. I would recommend your service for anyone in need in a heartbeat!

I remain as pleased as ever with the look and feel of it following the cleaning by Dave. His work is efficient and thorough. And when he was done my carpet looked brand new! In addition Dave made scheduling the cleaning a breeze. He also patiently answered my questions to my satisfaction. It is without hesitation that I recommend Guarantee System for carpet cleaning. They are now my only choice for cleaning my carpet. Thank you Dave for your awesome work!

I experienced what most homeowners consider a significant loss in February 2017 and Guarantee…read moreSystem finished my project in November 2017. For a small home of less than 700 square feet, that is not a reasonable timeline by anyone's standards. As a result of the delays, my family and I were unable to enjoy our home for an entire Spring, Summer, and Fall. I often wonder if any of the employees of Guarantee System would like being displaced from their home for three seasons for a project they said would only take two weeks. Would they be okay not being able to go home for 9 months without explanation as to why it was taking so long? They have terrible project managers, who lack common courtesy and basic communication skills. I reached out to the project manager repeatedly to get status updates. Every time I talked to him, my job was "next", but no work was being done. When they finally did start my project, they seemed completely unprepared on what information they needed and in what order. I had to do a lot of the legwork in terms of finding the cabinets and flooring I needed even though I sent them the description and QR codes for the materials I wanted. Guarantee System did not turn my crisis into calm. To make matters worse, here I am almost a full year later and some of their work is falling apart. I reached out to them in May 2018, sent photos of the issues, and asked if the work can be redone because it should still be under warranty. I have heard NOTHING back from them. Not even a phone call to say, "You're not covered..." Nothing. I have called, texted, and emailed. It's not okay to treat customers like this. The money they were paid was good and on time. I was responsive to their questions and very accommodating even after I couldn't live in my house for 9 months. DO NOT USE THE COMPANY. If your insurance company refers them, please ask for another company.

Good start - terrible follow-through!!…read more If our experience had ended with remediation, Paul Davis Restoration would have easily received 5 stars. After our dishwasher leaked on July 17 and caused damage in our home, the remediation team -- Kasey, Logan, Austin, and Eric -- were professional, communicative, and efficient from start to finish. They kept us informed every step of the way, handled the situation with care, and left the space clean when their work was complete. We were extremely satisfied with that portion of the process. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly when we moved into reconstruction and a kitchen remodel. We were initially assigned a project manager who made repeated promises about timelines that were never met, and communication was extremely difficult. After months of little to no progress, we met a second project manager on October 10 who appeared knowledgeable, but was managing too many projects for consistent oversight. As a result, our project experienced repeated delays with minimal proactive communication. Our basement, which was also damaged, was eventually reconstructed and returned to its original condition. However, that work did not begin until after October 10, which was an unreasonable delay for restoration work. At the same time, our upstairs kitchen -- which was a full remodel -- saw no progress at all. From July 17 through January 9 -- nearly six months -- nothing had been done to rebuild the kitchen. On January 9, we terminated our contract with the kitchen still completely untouched. After termination, we took over as the general contractor ourselves and completed the kitchen in approximately six weeks. This made the lack of progress during the prior six months even more difficult to understand. We were also asked to turn over our insurance payment up front, which we later learned is generally not standard practice. After termination, we were told reimbursement would take 1-2 weeks, but it ultimately took three weeks to receive payment. While the remediation team did excellent work, the reconstruction and remodeling process was marked by significant delays, poor communication, and failure to meet stated timelines. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this company for reconstruction or remodeling services. The difference between the remediation experience and the reconstruction process was significant.

Paul Davis came out that week to help with the water damage and had to tear down our ceiling and rip apart some carpet, bathroom tiles, and some of our wood flooring. It is almost the end of October and they have still not come out to finish their reconstruction. My husband has reached out almost daily, including sending a message to the owner of the company. Now we are left with a torn apart bathroom (including damage to our cabinets that was done when the fans were placed by them), and ripped up carpet in our guest room and basement.

This was until insurance did not want to pay what was requested of his company, then he went MIA. I understood his concern, which was quality of work with the material the insurance company agreed to pay. Casey even no showed me for an appt where I rearranged my schedule to meet him. His response was "I didn't receive an email from you", b/c he and I had discussed me reaching out to my local insurance agent to see if he would help secure funds for the higher quality job. One would think you would confirm an appt or an email if that was what you were waiting for instead of just not showing up. I tried calling and of course I went to voicemail. I am a reasonable person to work with, if you don't want the job tell me I will move on. Normally I would have to call 2-3 times to receive an answer or a call back after he realized there was nothing I could do to increase what insurance would pay. Ultimately Casey told me due to the recent tornados his company was looking at a 3 month wait. This really devalued me as a customer as I had expected to work with this company from the start due to his initial responsive time. I understand things happen and there are many variable in this business however, my job had been on the books since late June. My construction job was relatively easy for a company; flooring, seal a hole in the ceiling and hang some drywall. Maybe 1-2 days. I would not recommend this company.

Initially, while he was at my home, he did not realize that I caught him twice doing an eye roll in response to something I had said. Wow. Not good. I felt so disrespected. During that initial in-house assessment I made him aware that there was one day that I was not going to be available and asked him to please make sure that his vendors know that nothing was to be scheduled for that day. That is the day one of his vendor tried to schedule something. Another time, he was argumentative when I requested we look at other options. I did not feel that he was supportive in doing what was best for me and my situation. The final straw was, it took him three weeks to return info that I requested. I discovered he had the info within three days of my request. I would not hire him again.
