I got routed to Corbin with a couple of quick calls, and he was in and fixing the problem within an hour of my reaching out to the initial number. This is the fourth time I've used this company and each time they have done excellent work. Their workers show up when scheduled, with the office calling half an hour before to let me know they're coming. As always, today they worked quickly and professionally and finished installing the new bidet attachment on my toilet in short order. Unacceptable shoddy work. The service techs need to learn how to measure. I am a property manager and one of my units was having problems with water leaking into the basement and down the main line pipe by the wall. Mr rooter came out, snaked the main line and put the camera down it too. They said they went out 30 feet, hit roots from the hedges but couldn't get through and the water was too murky to see anything. They charged over $400 for this. I measured it 30 feet from the clean out they used puts them in the middle of the street well past the town's main sewer line. They want to dig up and replace the line that doesn't have a single clog or back up or break in it. The water coming in is clean ground water. On Tuesday October 15th 2019, I called up Mr Rooter in Pittsfield MA 01201 and set an appointment for Thursday of the same week on the 17th at 2 PM. I'm going to omit the manager's name because I want to be sure this review stands as a warning to others. Perhaps managers come and go and this problem will resolve itself in time--perhaps restoring Mr Rooter's good name (if it had a good name, I do not know). But as of this time period, the following account is true. He never showed up; two hours later I called him up and my number was blocked so I called again and added the area code and the call went through. He answered and sounded surprised and did not remember our conversation or the appointment. I refreshed his memory and he said to give him 30-45 minutes and he'd be down. One hour and 30 minutes later, he showed up. He said he could fix the problem and would call me the next morning with a price on the parts and labor... needless to say, he never called back, that was the last I heard of him. Despite the numerous failings on his part, he never once apologized--no shame, no honor, no work ethic, no moral code of conduct. I now believe we let a lunatic into our home. He stole the entire day from me...but I really think the man is either not right mentally or is on medications (whatever that can mean--gynecomastia suggests self medication but that's a guess). Yet, I see his truck regularly down the street. I really think Mr Rooter needs to better screen its personnel. I since talked to other plumbers in the area and not one of them has anything good to say about this manager. They said he's only good for draining clogged pipes, etc...no real plumbing despite what is touted on their website. This is what I was told. I know my experience lends itself to that assertion. Too many crazy people out there...be careful because you think the legal system will protect you but that too is a crapshoot. read more

I am extremely disappointed. I required service on Jan. 22, 2015. The service tech. diagnosed the problem as roots in the main, and "derooted' the main sewer line. Not only did this not resolve the problem but I paid for a service that did not solve the issue. I had another company check Mr. Rooters work and it was judged as unacceptable/incomplete. With the problem still unresolved Mr. Rooter came back Tuesday the 27th and said they needed a supervisor to give me a price for the ACTUAL problem. Now an additional 7 days later, (13 days since the problem) the problem was resolved. Terrible Customer Service, no communication. Called three times over the weekend for emergency services. Each time spoke with the operator who said someone would get back to me. I never heard from anyone at all. Called back this morning (Monday) and spoke to a woman who said they don't service my town. When I asked why someone didn't tell me that when I called or at least give me the courtesy of calling me back she said I don't know I wasn't working. Ended up contacting Rick from Berkshire Rooter who was very helpful and worked with me over the phone even though he couldn't make it up right away. Highly recommend Berkshire Rooter! read more
