Tony C came for a service call that lasted 10 min. He explained that my pipes were frozen and made no suggestions for repair. He told me to "let them thaw" and charged me $130 to do nothing. Please keep in mind that only half of my heating system was working and getting the other half working would prevent damage in my home. Thankfully I contacted Levine and Sons in Southfield. Levine came out the next day, thawed the pipes, fixed the broken pipes that resulted freezing and provided outstanding service through the balance of the repair. I would suggest you not use Hinsons Heating and Air, they simply don't care.

I was expecting the worst when I called the phone number on the tag on my "new" furnace, but thanks to Hinson's it didn't turn out to be that bad. They made an appointment for me right away. Give me a 3 hour block of time, but call you 30 minutes before they were going to arrive so I didn't end up taking off any unnecessary time from work. On the phone they quoted me $90 which I thought was a little steep and I ended up paying $138. I got a new filter and a cleaning for the humidifier for an additional charge. The original $90 included the furnace cleaning and some wiring . But the bonus was that the technician also re-wired the termostat that my husband had incorrectly installed. I was also impressed that the technician put on booties to protect my floor in spite of the fact that, thanks to a kitchen remodel in progress, my floor was probably dirtier than his shoes. I plan to use them again.

The owner (I believe "Wayne") said that he was willing to come out there, but instead of charging me $$, he walked me through the steps to reset the furnace, and sure enough, within ten minutes, I was back up and running. Thank you for putting the customer first, Wayne. Very rare do we find business owners that look out for the clients vs. just the bottom line revenue/profit. I called Prime Time Heating & Cooling instead and it was $69 for the service charge and they came out within the hour to fix everything. AAC, this is a poor poor way to treat people who are in need knowing they need heat on a cold winter's day. Be careful of these guys everyone.

I was able to talk to someone right away, and they offered to come to my house immediately. However, as it was after hours, my home warranty company wouldn't cover the visit, so they set up a convenient appointment the next day to meet with my work schedule. Sul Salam was the technician who came to my home to address the issue with my furnace. He was incredibly friendly and professional. He identified the issue with my furnace right away. When my home warranty company tried to give him the run around over the phone, he was very persistent and advocated that they cover the visit (which they ended up doing, thanks to him). It didn't take him long at all to diagnose and fix the problem with my furnace, and he actually spent the vast majority of his visit on the phone with the warranty company. He didn't charge me for the extra time it took to ensure that the warranty company covered the repairs. If I ever have any other heating issues, I will definitely give AAC Services a call, and I will request Sul Salam by name. I highly recommend this company.

We selected DHC when we needed a new furnace because they listened and didn't try to sell me on a…read morenew AC unit. All the other companies said you 'had to do them at the same time'. DHC said 'why'? They keep the older AC unit (not their brand) going and I had the time to find and select a new unit. I never used to have these 'annual checks' done until we had DHC. The other company (R&M...) did a fast, perfunctory look at things but never caught the bad stuff so I just did them myself. DHC checked everything by the book. This last visit Nick found a mouse nest in the outside air intake AND a bad ignitor. He called and DHC brought the part so it could get fixed while he was here. Both were biggies and would not have been spotted without the detailed checking Nick did. They also thought through and found a way around an inadequate duct system (from M&R) that made our second floor much warmer and cooler and that saved us money. No one else suggested that. NO ONE.
