This spot needs some updated reviews. Due to the old ones I almost didn't come here. Lazy, hater people just don't see things: like all the change machines, the relatively clean seating area, the magazines: they only see dust-bunnies (it's a dusty biz!). Doing laundry is an un-glamorous chore and Mr. Stadium, while ever so slightly dingy and used, was everything this traveling entertainer could hope for. While I don't come here very often, the few times I have been here, the experience of the washing clothes has been positive. The place has been clean - the attendant was mopping the floor and cleaned both the men's and ladies' restrooms while I was waiting. Seating area was clean. It looked like an entire row of older top-loader machines was not working, but there are many more machines of a variety of sizes (and prices) to choose from. And last, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean my laundry came out. I will return when I need a commercial laundromat. read more

Unclean, like dirt bunnies that are 5 years old unclean under everything an inch off the ground . That absorbed every greasy thing that fell. Attendant scowled when I asked for change and , I quote , "you're not gunna do $20 worth of laundry!!?" (just wanted to dry two quilts) Seems she was super irritated. Suspect being separated from the snack machine for one minute made her angry. 3/4's of machines non functioning. An upgrade is in dire need. Today the floors were clean, not spotless. Most of the top load machines were out of order. So, too, were several dryers. The front loaders that were broken were covered by an old scrap of cardboard and another with a purple, raggy-looking towel hung over door. The machine and dryer that I did use worked well and were clean inside. Several machines had stains on them. The Formica folding tables were worn through the Formica layer. It looks like the place has been abandoned and ignored by the owner. Several improvements needed. Find a new owner that cares about the place. read more

Ok I only know of 2 24hr nice, clean, safe, reliable Coin Laundromat's in either Washtenaw, or Livingston county. Mr. Stadium is great. Very large inside tons of machines. They have an area to clean and vacuum out the car while you're waiting on wash. 3 blocks away is Roos Roast I mean come on. 1 block away is a little party store. This is what I do, first I stop get a few really good micro brews and smokes, get my freshly made tie dies in hot washer. Then go to the Audi, enjoy a line of whatever, crack open a beer, light up a cigarette, take a cpl nice hits out of the already packed Chillum with my own grown Kind Bud, then I totally space out what am I even doing here listening to Slightly Stupid radio on Pandora, as soon as I'm good and chilled out my arm goes off at 23 min all wash is ending spin cycle. Go back in and throw them in Hot Dryer each piece separate for 15 min on Stoned set alarm have quick smoke and half beer, go back inside and wish I was still outside because I still have 2 minutes to go lol. Then I throw them all back in together for another 40-60 minutes on High. Besides not wanting to use my washer at home it would take me forever with one washer, This is why I come here for this part. pull the car around to the car vacuum, air for tires, and lightly detail out my ride, drink beers discreetly, music is turned down just enough so I can't hear anyone if they ask me for money or anything else I'm not giving up. Finish up my last good beer hit the pipe and alarm goes off, laundry is dry, tables for folding, hot college girls, pretty soccer moms to smile at and never get a number, fold my shit pack up the S6 go around the corner get an iced, cold brew, from Roos and that is great to do every now and then. I've been lucky that generally speaking every place I've lived has had its own washing on site, so I don't have a ton of experience with laundromats. But as far as my limited experience is concerned, Mr. Stadium is 5 stars! A while ago my husband and I upgraded to a king sized bed and our comforter, pillows, etc don't fit in our washing machine. So every so often, I roll over to Mr. Stadium to give it a good refresh. They have XL washing machines and dryers that clean our bedding in a snap. The facility is comfortable with plenty of seating, wifi, snacks (vending machines), even a few arcade games. Plus working change machines and an ATM on site if you're a dummy like me and forget to bring cash. They also sell detergent, both bottles and single load pours, and dryer sheets. They have everything you need! This past weekend I brought in some bedding, got a pop and a bag of chips, turned on a podcast and played a video game on my Switch for about an hour while I laundered. It was a pleasant afternoon all things considered! Machines worked great and my bedding came out like new! read more

An extended power outage in the middle of a needlessly prolonged pandemic? You know, life wasn't complicated enough already. The last time I used a coin laundry was many years ago in New Jersey. My wife said I wouldn't need quarters on this most recent outing, reasoning all machines are now equipped with modern credit card readers. I mean, who uses cash these days, much less carries change? Thankfully I didn't listen. Old habits die hard, so I went to the bank and picked up two rolls of quarters before heading out to Mr. Stadium. That was a good idea. Sure, there are change machines at the laundromat. But having quarters in hand helps to simplify an already complicated process. Mr. Stadium was busy on a Saturday afternoon. I realize it's prime time for washing, and it was probably even busier than usual with the blackout. For a first timer, the wide variety of machine types and related prices was overwhelming, especially when paired with the frantic desire to just get the loads into some limited machine capacity. I ultimately went with two adjacent triple load washers. They seemed to do a fine job, even if the timers on the machine didn't quite align with the amount of time the load took to complete. The machines went a little longer than expected, but I'm not complaining. Oddly, there was another triple load washer in the vicinity that charged a lower price. I think mine were $8 a piece, but the older machine only charged $5. One of my triple loads was full of towels and other heavy items, and I briefly considered putting that load through a cool centrifuge machine for another buck to lessen the drying time (as advertised). But looking in the machine, it had a bunch of pet hair in the bottom, so I demurred. The larger driers I chose were $.25 for five minutes of drying time, with a 40 minute maximum. I could only find one machine at the end of my wash cycle, so I put everything in together. Plus, my wife wanted to make sure nothing shrunk, so I was instructed to dry everything on low. My mistake. After 40 minutes, the clothes were still damp. On the plus side, the crowd had thinned out, so I was able to split the load into a second machine and speed up the process a good deal. Folding tables and carts were neat and clean, and we were able to get out of there for just under $20 including a couple plays on the Ms. Pac Man machine, which unfortunately had a dodgy joystick. You had to pull up on it while moving for it to work. At least a quarter got you five lives, instead of the usual three. If I had to visit a laundromat again, I'd gladly come back. After all there is free wifi and it's close to a party store with reasonably tasty pizza slices. That said, I am reminded just how glad I am to have laundry facilities in my very own basement. read more

The El Dorado of laundromats! Clean, expansive, a variety of sizes of washers, plenty of carts, multiple vending machines with food and beverages- ice cream even! - and even free paper solo cups for keeping your coins right next to the change machines! There's more to list but I had to cut myself off there so my whole review isn't just one long, breathless, rambling sentence. The convenience begins outside with a row of benches against the facade of the building if you prefer to wait for your wash in the great outdoors. They also have a picnic table if you packed a lunch or just want to sit across from someone you're conversating with. There's also coin operated vacuum and air machines for your ride if you wanna be still more productive while your laundry is in the machines inside. Of course there's more seating inside, including booths like you'd find at a diner. There's a tv naturally but I don't pay it too much mind. The front counter has the usual laundry accoutrements for sale. On my last trip I washed the Covid mask I was wearing and when I packed up after the dryers had done their thing it must have gotten mixed in with my socks or something. I went up to the counter to see if they had masks for sale and found they don't but they do have those surgical blue bois for free. Dude even offered me a second mask but I didn't want to be greedy. My absolute favorite part of Mr. Stadium is none of these things though. It's the old school video games with the old school 25 cent prices. Ms. Pac-Man, video bowling, Galaga, Super Mario Bros and Centipede all reside in a corner by one of the two sliding sets of front doors. I'm still pretty good at Ms. Pac-Man and have been trying to whip my Centipede game back into shape on my last couple of visits. I even got in one last game of Centipede after my laundry was already finished. Hanging out at a laundromat after your laundry is done? Virtually unheard of! (Sad to say it was Friday night, too.) I could almost be petty and knock down Mr. Stadium a star for no longer being the all night spot I'm pretty sure it used to be but even the mighty Meijer closes up shop at the stroke of midnight these days. I'm not often out in Ann Arbor but it's worth throwing my dirty clothes in my ride if I'm making the trek for something else. Maybe one day Mr. Stadium will make like Vault of Midnight and open a Detroit location but I'm not holding my breath. read more

They do not clean the machines- there is filth on the front loaders that might be 2years old, fabric softener running down the front of the machine , items left in the machines, the attendant should be wiping down the machines through out the day - instead one was doing the laundry- and the guy was busy collecting the money from the machines- for the high price point 5.50 min for standard machine the machines should be cleaned daily - customers you must complain for them to improve read more

Mr. Stadium has really gone downhill. I'm here now and there's debris all over the floor that looks like it hasn't been moped in ages. Half the machines are out of order as well, and some of those are in bad shape ie. Door won't shut properly or it's making noise. It's really sad to see it this way. I may start going to the laundry in the neighboring town, at least it's kept clean and machines all work. read more

I'm in town on business and i fell in a ditch and my clothes for dirty and wet, more importantly, my sneakers. I had to go back to the hotel and wash up and wear clean clothes but i only had the one pair of shoes. I had to go there bare feet to wash everything but they have a sign that shoes are required! I called the number the lady that answered was very very nice and told me she'd make an exception for me this one time under the circumstances. Both staff members were very decent and kind and attentive! The machines are in great shape and the free WiFi rocks! I was able to watch their tv there and surf the internet and YouTube. This a very large space with lots of washers and dryers. I did not have any interaction with the staff, but they seemed pleasant from what I could tell. There are some seating areas so people can work or study while doing their laundry. I did not have any problems with the equipment. I did feel like the cost was a tad higher than I would expect per load. read more

Mr. Stadium is the only laundry mat I will use until yesterday, Nov 19. It started when I couldn't get $50 in quarters for my $50 dollar bill. The attendant wouldn't give me change to use the coin machine OR money in quarters. (I usually spend $75 each time I go.) Then as I looked around one third to half the washers were taped off as unusable. When it came time for drying, half or better of the dryers were taped off as well. I could always count on Mr Stadium to have a really great laundry mat but it looks like they are having difficulties these days. Please Mr Stadium you are a fixture in the community and too good to be in this bad of shape, please repair the machines (and stay open 24 hours)!!! read more

I am definitely a big fan of Mr. Stadium, although I do look forward to the day when I don't have to come here to do my laundry once a week. I appreciate that it's always spotlessly clean--if I ever drop a garment on the floor (which I inevitably do at least 2 times) it doesn't come up with a bunch of gross dust or hair on it. Whoever is working at the time always seems to be busy doing something--cleaning machines, etc.--which is nice to see. The machines have always done a good job of washing and drying my clothes. One time the dryer I chose was broken--just blowing cold air--which I didn't realize until the cycle was almost done. While I did waste an hour of my time, they refunded my quarters promptly and were apologetic. The attendants are usually nice, but there is a rather old woman who works there who is not nice AT ALL. She basically yelled at me when I had my feet resting on the bench I was sitting on and then told a teenager there with the ubiquitous slouchy pants that he should pull them up and he was "disgusting". Completely ridiculous. People who can't deal with the human race anymore shouldn't be working in a public service capacity. Really, though, Mr. Stadium is great--tons of machines, you'll never have to wait and they're open 24 hours. Oh, and Wednesday and Friday they have discounts on the triple load washers! read more

I was in a real bad mood when I came here tonight, because I generally don't like laundromats, but the washer in my complex broke and I needed clothes for tomorrow. On a whim, I came here. Score. Huge place, so many washers and dryers, including for extremely large loads. Clean, well lit, prices are reasonable, free wi-fi, clean, cheap supplies if you forget something like I did, normal people, no one acting a fool or giving you a hassle, friendly staff ... did I mention clean? The fella behind the counter didn't give me static when I told him the dollar machine ate my dollar. He just said sorry and fixed it. I'm not a laundromat fan, but this one I'll file under a notable exception. I got caught up in YouTube videos and didn't even notice when my load was done at first, that's how comfortable I felt. This place SUCKS. Yes, it's clean. But the large washers do NOT spin dry very good. My towels I could still squeeze out water. The dryers say EXTRA HOT. That's A LIE. Lots of machines and lots of options for detergent if you forget to bring your own. There is free WiFi and tv. The price is a little high for my liking, $6 for a large washing machine. I didn't dry anything so don't know how much a dryer is. All the miserable days I've lived without a washer and dryer, Mr. Stadium has definitely been the "it" place to suds your drawers. They have oodles of top loaders, front loaders, triple washers, XL washers, dryers, and best of all -- they are all maintained well and cleaned. Other perks? The little bodega thing where they sell candy, soap, dryer sheets, laundry bags, and wire hangers. They are open 24/7 on the Swatch Watch. Their public bathroom is not grotesque. They have video games and vending machines, and a car vacuum out front to get the nasties out of your stick shift Honda. You get an interesting assortment of people there. I wouldn't really go there expecting a romance to blossom if you become a regular. Oh, and PS: Go on Wednesdays and Fridays to get a deal on the big washers. read more

I just spent a couple of hours at the laundromat, at it really wasn't all that painful or boring of an experience. In fact, it was productive! We inherited a really old washer and dryer with our rental house, and most of the time, they do the trick. However, I just took our down comforter out of storage for the year (brrr!), and realized it was a little musty smellin'. I'm cheap and really didn't want to send it out to be cleaned. I looked up online how to keep it fluffy and not lumpy while washin' it yourself. The only sticking point was that I needed an XL washer & dryer to handle the job. About $9 in quarters and some tennis balls later, I have a clean comforter, fluffier than ever! I've also gotten some email catch up and other work done, thanks to the free wifi. No only is this place 24/7 with free wi-fi -- it's also clean, and there's a little market where you can get snacks, etc. The guy working here is super helpful. About an hour ago, a stray sock made one of the machines sound like a noise show (it was kinda sci-fi and atmospheric, honestly, but I think I'm the only one who wasn't annoyed), but the fellow remedied the situation quickly. I have to agree with Lisa N., this place is pretty great. I haven't had to go to the laundromat too often in the last few years, but I'm lucky that one of the nicer ones I've ever witnessed is just a 5 minute drive away! read more

Arrrgh. Got back home after Thankgiving, only to learn that the washers and dryers had been ripped out of our building. Our complex is going from coin-op to a rchargeable card system. The clothes piled up (on top of the heap we left before the holiday) as each day we hoped we'd come home from work to find happy new machines installed. No such luck: they're painting the laundry room on our floor. So now we have no washers, and our apartment (which is right next to it) smells like paint. Enter Mr. Stadium. (Thanks to recommendations from Yelp and my co-worker, who is like a human yelp). Now this was a pleasing laundry experience. -Upon entering: automatic doors? Thank you! This is a place that knows everyone coming in has their hands full. -There are more machines here than in a Sears. Holy cow! I'm sure there are times when it's really hoppin' and you have to wait, but on a Thursday night, we had our pick. The luxury of doing 3+ loads at one time! -Plenty of space to sit, snacks for sale, free wi-fi--they make it easy and comfy to hang out But here's what really surprised me: this place was SO QUIET. Now, again, I'm sure there are times of the week when it's crawling with shrill students or rowdy toddlers. But tonight? The hum and thump of the machines created a gentle white noise that basically blocked out any quiet chatting going on (there wasn't much). WAY better than a coffee shop, or even the library at this time of the semester, for a bright, quiet place to get some work done, or (as I did), friggin' unplug for a bit and read a book. We were there close to two hours, but it didn't feel that way. It was slightly more expensive than laundry in our apartment building (as I'd expect), but it was actually more convenient and more enjoyable than doing laundry at home.
