We recently hired Mr. Stump to remove three dead trees, including 60' and 80' Ponderosa trees, which seemed nearly impossible. They obviously have lots of experience and the right equipment because they got them all down quickly and efficiently in less than half a day. We were also pleasantly surprised that everything was entirely cleaned up before they left - unlike other tree services that may leave logs for several days. Best of Colorado Springs tree services. We had a dead mystery tree in our back yard that needed to be removed. We contacted another tree removal company that was astronomically over priced (approximately $1,000 over priced). For a second opinion I contacted Walt with Mr.Stump Tree Services. First impression was wonderful, he knows his stuff ladies and gentlemen. We were able to schedule removal and stump grinding same day. He also contacted Colorado Springs utilities to come out to the house and mark utility lines. Safety first people! Which was very much appreciated. I was highly impressed when they showed up for the removal. They were on timeand in and out within the hour. They even took time to clean up the yard and other areas they were working. I had a tree, about 16' honey locust that died and needed to be removed. I got 3 quotes, the most expensive was some type of arbor restoring place (but they couldnt save my tree) for $700, the other place quoted me about $365 and then the awesome Mr Stump Tree Service came and quoted me $165 to remove the tree and grind up the stump!!! How awesome is that?! Only reason I dropped one star is his office clerk. Maybe its his wife, I'm not sure but she seemed to be in her golden years and I had to repeat and slow down in my speaking several times. Plus I think they only take cash/check so if you were planning to use a credit card for reward points or something, aint gonna happen. They cut my tree down in the beginning of Oct. left an invoice and I'm finally getting around to calling them this week - so it's cool theyre not hounding me. (it was at my rental property so that's why I wasnt able to pay the day of) read more

I called Mr. Stump to get an estimate and then gave him the job of removing a Cottonwood tree that was too close to the house. I was impressed with the care that he took. He moved anything that possible could be damaged, which hasn't happened with other contractors. When he left, you would have never known a tree was there.
