The pricing was very reasonable for AYCE BBQ + hotpot combo. The meats were well marinated and the quality was decent overall for the price point. Some items seemed frozen, but everything still tasted good and came out quickly. I also liked their open sauce bar, side dishes, and dessert station -- lots of options to customize your meal. The restaurant is family friendly too, with high chairs available and kids under 5 eating free. Service was friendly and the space was clean. Great affordable spot for casual lunch or dinner with friends and family.

She was not a very nice person very rude and I tried to explain that she as a courtesy and customer service she should had called us and ask us what time are we going to arrive. Long story short I ask to speak to the manager to my surprise the first words that came out of his mouth was 'what's the problem ' really? I explained to him that they should have given us a courtesy call just like other establishments to verify of our arrival later we found out the receptionist lied to the manager/owner we were 45 mins late. Come to the menu there is nothing out of the ordinary very limited selection of meats and other amenities. Even for the dipping sauce I don't find it out if the ordinary the place looks like a watered down AYCE they use hotpot and BBQ grill to hype the justification charging you $43 + $5 for the soup base. Overall good quality is ok but very limited selection they give you some jelly desserts not even ice cream terrible service. I appreciate the owner giving us 5% discount on the tab but I cannot lie about my overall experience of service she lied and the premium price they demand for the food. I don't forsee myself going back even for free. I have been to many others hotpot or BBQ AYCE restaurants but this place is one that I will avoid.

Yey to my trying a new XLB place! I am still a XLB enthusiast!!!…read more It was my first visit to King Square Shopping Centre. Here during weekday lunch time, thus easy to find a parking spot. The food court (where Feng's Pan Fried Buns located) was easy to find as well. You park underground, take a escalator to the main floor and there they are. While many food vendors were closed (though I was here lunch time??), this place was shiny open - thank goodness. I ordered: - Sheng Jian Bao (生煎包, pan-fried pork buns) - Soup Dumplings (did not say XLB but it was XLB) Most of my credits go to SJB, and the craftsmanship. I wonder who is behind the wall (that separates the store front from the kitchen) - but the baos (both SJB and XLB) were BEAUTIFULLY pleated, and presented in the box with no leak. Both kept plenty of juice inside. Taste-wise, I liked SJB. The soup-meat ratio was perfect, and the taste of the soup was well rounded. The meat texture was soft, integrating with crispy wrapper and juice in the mouth. XLBs - they have 4 different XLBs. Pork, Pork w mushroom, Pork w shrimps, and Pork w corn - if I remember correctly. I ordered Pork & Pork with mushroom. But I learned that I got Pork w shrimp instead of mushroom's after biting into them. :( But Again, the presentation was beautiful. I give extra credits to hand-pleated dumplings these days (as I am sick of being served machine pleated dumplings out there!). Soup was plenty - the only thing is that the soup is more to the sweet side, which is not my preference. (FYI: SJB's soup was not as sweet, which I liked). The above is just my preference. I preferred simple pork XLBs over "pork w shrimp"'s, I found the texture (meat's softness & integration to the whole) was better. I was glad to come here - as I feel comforted by simple food with fine skills. Blessed. That is what I felt from this little food stand in this quiet food court. :)

Today was Tuesday, so we were good to go. The promo was $25 including 1 bowl of noodle, 1 bowl of clay pot rice with meat and 1 of snack dishes. We could choose them from the special menu. We chose the beef noodle soup, chicken & mushroom clay pot with soup, and the snack was the deep fried wonton. The wonton was great, so delicious and my little one loved it so much; the beef noodle soup was ok, but only a few pieces of beef and radish; the clay pot was the most I like, when I put the soy sauce in, the pot was boiling. That's so nice. That also caused the crackers at the bottom. That's really amazing. We also got a little bowl of the seaweed soup for the clay pot. So nice. This special deal was so good that enough for all of us. Next time, I would like to try other options.

Came here to try their $25 double combo and it did not disappoint!…read more For just $25, you get a full meal for two -- including hand-pulled noodles, a claypot dish, and a snack. The Lanzhou noodles had a great chewy texture and tasted super fresh. The claypot rice was warm, savory, and had that nice crispy bottom layer which made it extra satisfying. Portions are generous and the flavors feel very authentic and comforting -- like a home-cooked meal. It's a great budget-friendly option in Markham, especially if you're dining with a friend or partner. Definitely a hidden gem for cheap eats. Would recommend if you're craving noodles and claypot rice without spending too much!

So when my cousin decided on her birthday date that she would like to come to this establishment then I got excited. Located on Main Street Newmarket, this little shop has many soups selections to choose from. They also let you have a sample to make sure you're making the right choice! We both decided to get the soup, sandwich and a bottle of water ( $11 ) and boy did we make a good choice. Normally you would except a small soup bowl with a sandwich however this soup was in a HUGE (to me anyways lol) bowl with a full sized sandwich. My soup of choice was the chicken noodle with a ham & cheese croissant. I feel like chicken noodle is always a good staple to determine if it is worth coming back. I must say, it definitely was worth it. The chicken noodle soup was soo filling. Had some hearty vegetables and they definitely did not skip out on the chicken. I had to push myself to finish my sandwich as I was already too full! Thank you for amazing service and I am definitely coming back
