All is well in the universe once more. The "Curt Clerk" seems to be employed elsewhere now and I've had the privilege of meeting and developing a relationship with the owner, Ms Tekola. She's onsite now day-to-day and making sure things get handled correctly. It's her and a small staff of usually two or three people and they're often taking in huge orders, she explained. These come from school districts, churches, METRO, etc., sometimes which set them back occasionally with regard to work flow. This explains a lot, and it's amazing how far you can get with customers if you simply explain things to them. Yesterday, for example, I was able to get in and out because their workflow was light. It's rare these days to get a shirt done while you wait without waiting a couple hours. I even found out one of the guys there was [actually] her brother. A former software engineer who helps her with her equipment. It's a really good shop and a good family owned business that I enjoy visiting. You'll get some nice work done here with fairly sweet people/family. Unfortunately, you have to go through a lot to get what you want. -There is no posted signage telling you where to order, the ordering process, or any baseline for pricing. I finally heard that they charge by stitch count. There was no explanation of this. -If it's busy, you stand at the counter and cat call at the workers hoping someone is lured by your fancy, but nice call and will help you. Otherwise, your option is to stand looking pitiful for 30mins + (as I did) until they finally ask if you've been helped. Again, there is no beginning or end of the line where they are taking orders. -Looking for samples and the price of what can be done? They have a huge book with a standard catalog, no pricing. These particular shops are usually personalizing items. Most of the items in the book aren't personal to anyone. You may have your own image and they will take a digital one. I don't have specifics. -DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU NEED SOMETHING RIGHT AWAY. I needed an 11 letter phrase of about 2 inches tall and 11 inches in length across an item- embroidered (they also paint/silk screen?). It was two hours before the mall closed. It couldn't be done due to other orders they already had. I left my item with them. My info was written on a scratch sheet of paper...name, number, phrase and color written by the employee, tied in the bag they gave them. I didn't feel certain my item wouldn't be misplaced or lost. What font did I want? I don't know because the employee had to text me a view of the machine's screen that showed about a max of 7 fonts-- all basic! Word 97 maybe?! The next day, since I didn't hear from the employee, I texted asking for the fonts. I also asked if it could be ready by 6pm (last available time I could pick it up). I arrived at 5pm to find out my job was finished in the wrong color. They had to restitch the phrase with the proper color. Because the colors are close in family, stitching over it worked a bit, but of course I was late to where I had to go. (They gave me a few dollars off the final price for the inconvenience.) -The stitching is a tedious process, so it will take some time. To restitch my phrase took about an hour..? I saw other jobs going that --WOW-- was a lot of work. It was like watching an ink jet printer respray print to get the right color 0_0 I WISH they would take orders by the register and make people form a line, longer consultations on one end of the booth by the computer. Out of the 3 to 4 machines going, make one for short term orders and others for bulk orders (the crews shirts and hats and the bridesmaids robes). I wish they had nicer order forms, where I can keep a duplicate. Have cards at the counter. Have a font catalog and pics of previous jobs. Have stitch pricing posted so you can give a decent estimate even if it's not the final price. Direct people to have an image of what it is they want if it's a custom design. Things could be much better, but it was pretty hectic for the small idea I had for a gift =( read more

First they send u on wrong days where there is no one making screen print shirts, so thanks for wasting my fucking gas. I Love all the staff here...they make you feel more like family than a customer. I have been getting work done here for years and each time the quality and the perfection is phenomenal. Most people complain that the wait is too long, but I rather wait long for great quality perfection and my ideas and design come to life. TERRIBLE!!!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS!!!!!! Lord this place, I only go into Forestville mall for target, eyebrows and cookies. If my gma goes with me only jcpenny. Overall, I've never seen this place crowded but the one day I need to go for my cousin, it was ridiculous. The wait was so long, the guy who was doing the t shirt was so slow!!!!!! They had 1 person and he was so slow!!!!!! I would never go to this place ever again. People were in line who dropped off there orders, or placed there orders days ago and they were not ready when they arrived. They seemed to get first priority because of the store mistake which made everyone have to wait. I waited in line for 2 + hrs for 2 stupid shirts, but I was doing a favor for someone else. Do not go here!!!! My cousin was impressed with the shirts, but I was not impressed with the time. Terrible!! They have no consideration for your time. I dropped off my son's sweatsuit for his basketball to get it personalized. His teammate has his done there and it looked really nice. I took my son's there so he could have it in time for his tournament. When I dropped it off they couldn't give me a timeframe of when it would be done but she said it should be a couple of days. I called 2 days later for an update and they couldn't give me one. I had to go out of town for a few days. When I got back in town I went up to the mall because at this point it has been a week. I get there and she tells me that it's not done yet. I said it's been a week and I'm not waiting any longer. She said that the guy was there and could get it done by the afternoon. I told her you have had it for a week and it wasn't a priority, but now you want to rush and do it when you realize you aren't getting money. She apologized but I told her I don't have the confidence to leave my clothes there any longer. read more

Cleanest quality of stitching available and at a reasonable price! I've had a few custom orders done as go-to gifts (initialed bath robes, baby blankets, towels, etc.) and always get a great end product I'm more than pleased with. Just note the location is usually quite busy and the employees take their time with the clients (likely to understand and ensure they understand the customer's requests). You will need to be patient (after all you are making a custom order), but it will be well worth it. read more

I would not recommend this shop. Their customer service is horrible. They are focused on getting the money and not the customers because they are working with several customers at the same time. They messed up my order and told me there's nothing I can do because they are not doing it over. After writing down what I wanted, they made the decision to do what they wanted. I would give them a 2.5 stars. Heed the warnings below but patience is key here..and I mean A LOT of patience. You can get same day custom work done here and apparently they can do pretty much any logo and/or help design something for you. However there are some language barriers and a lot of confusion. They are very disorganized and I don't see how they can keep track of everyone's orders. If you're going there for the first time, I do not advise you dropping off your stuff with written directions and going on your merry way. There's probably a chance it won't get done based on some irate clients who claim they have been waiting on 1-2 weeks for their stuff. My advice is to try to go on a non busy day (do they even have one? idk but NOT Saturday) when they open (mall hours). And be prepared to be confused however wait until you get the guy doing the design work. Once your design is confirmed AND you see them physically starting your stuff on the machines, then I think it is safe for you to take off. Mine was somewhat complicated as I am part of a sorority in which I needed specific and precise details there. As any minority greek knows, we take pride in our letters and try to customized anything we can. They are somewhat familiar with Greek designs, but you still have to hand hold. Anyway, got my hoodie customized in a span of 6 hours. So yes it's quick, as in same day, but you definitely have to stay on top of them. But it still beats 2-3 weeks waiting to get custom work ! read more

Great shop with clean quality digital printing at a reasonable price. I have my own clothing brand that I run online and have had numerous work done here on a variety of apparel. The one thing you should know as a customer is that patience is key at Mr Tee's Embroidery. The shop is usually very busy and this can lead to long waiting time. If you plan on going to mr tees make sure to go in the afternoons because they are usually very busy in the evenings. read more

Stood in line for 45 minutes, get to the counter and displayed my order of 2 hats. I needed to purchase two more hats to embroider one letter and the number 32 on all 4 hats, one color, and the response to my order was not good. The lady mentioned that they were backed up and could not do the job same day, well while I was standing in line, I saw a blanket with letters being processed and lady paid, and she didn't look like she had came back to pick up the order, and they have 4 machines and when the blanket was taken off and given to the lady, all four embroider machines were available to me. Bad business, I'll buy my own embroider machines and do it myself. read more

I went to get a name on a shirt. I thought it would be simple being it was early Wednesday evening to get done same day. Well apparently they don't do same day but I was promised it could be completed by next day. I explained I needed the shirt by deadline for school. Went to pick up the shirt the next evening. 1st she couldn't find it then it was located at bottom of bin with several orders in it. Order wasn't completed. Lady told me she could do it right now. She started getting everything together but took so long now all machines were in use cause she was talking on the phone. One guy pushed my shirt to the side. I asked could he put on machine since she already did name design on computer. He said no she'll have to finish order. I waited 15 minutes still shirt on table. I asked how long and guy said about 20 minutes well I've already been waiting 15 minutes. I asked for my shirt cause I don't like my time being wasted and unprofessional. read more

This was the second time that I used Mr. Tees Embroidery Shop. The first order was simple enough and there were no glitches. I returned this week on Wednesday afternoon with two sweatshirts that I wanted to have two lines with multiple colors. I was quoted a price of $10 per line plus $5 for the additional color. I paid, in advance, to save time during pickup the next day. I called on Thursday evening since I had heard anything about my order being ready for pickup. I was told that there was a text message sent to me requesting approval before completing my order. I told the representative that I did not receive any messages from Mr. Tees Embroidery. The representative sent the image for approval then told me that the price would be $10 more per item. I explained that I had already paid, in advance, based on the fee that I was quoted at the time I placed the order. The representative stated that it was not his decision and that he was told that I needed to pay the difference if i wanted the original request fulfilled. I responded that I would not pay anything additional and that this was a violation of consumer protection laws. I ended by stating that I plan to pickup my property on Friday morning and that I trust that they would honor original agreement. read more
