Scheduled an appointment for 4 on 4/3/2026. Got there 15 minutes early. Couldn't find anyone in the office. Went to garage they said they were probably in the bathroom. Finally they came out. I told them when I scheduled the appointment I had an interlock device in the vehicle. They said no problem on the phone. The people who were doing the work said it would be 45 minutes because they hadn't finished the job ahead of me. After about an hour they said they couldn't do it because I had an interlock device. Even though I was there with the keys. And had been told by their main office it wo be a problem. I wasted my time and gas for no reason. I would give them a zero rating. Very unprofessional. I will never go back and will definitely tell everyone I know not to waste their money on this business. read more

I liked the Mr. Tire better on Hendersonville. Here, it took almost three hours to change tires and I was first appointment. Also, requested they change my plates out, changed the one on the back with one bolt to secure only and left the other state plate on the front. When I went in today I was treated nicely for the initial interaction. I only went in for an oil change and a tire balance and rotation since I'd been neglecting my tires and hadn't gotten them balanced for at least 10,000 miles, so they had obvious wear marks on them as a front wheel drive car. I waited an hour for my service to be completed just for them to tell me my tires "don't need to be balanced" unless I hit a pothole, which is simply not true if you have any basic knowledge of tire upkeep, so they didn't even balance my tires. I walk out just to find out they didn't rotate my tires either, so I walk back in to ask and they insist that they rotated "front to back", even though my front tires obviously still have the same wear on them. Another marker that they didn't rotate my tires was the fact that I only have two hub caps out of four on my tires, and there was no change of where they were on the car whatsoever. To add a cherry on top, they put the wrong oil change sticker on my windshield. I'm starting to worry if they even did the right kind of oil for my car and will be getting it checked at another location. So, we are heading out of town on vacation & get a low pressure light, so my hus pulls in to Mr Tire on Patton Ave in Asheville. He asks if they can check the tire to see if they can find a problem. They tell him they can't check a tire. They have to charge $40 to treat it as a flat tire fix. So, let me get this straight - - Mr Tire is a company that sells, mounts & balances tires, but they "don't have the ability to check one for a leak!?!" Do NOT use Mr. Tire on Patton! I have been using them for a couple years and coke to find out they haven't been performing all the services they have said they were performing. This this caused me to need to purchase new tires at half the expected life of my tires. The response was a $70 discount on their tires which sorry $70 is not much more than a coupon on a $800-1000 set of tires and when I told them that was a BS offer they kicked me out of the shop while still in possession of my vehicle (literally a less than 60 second conversation) they then later offered one of the promotions they are running as compensation... If a zero star were possible that would be my rating!! I ended up here bc I needed a new set of tires and with that I knew I would also need an alignment. So, trying to find the best deals I checked Groupon. This place on Patton Ave in Asheville had a deal for an alignment. So, I called to inquire about the tires. PHEONIX THE STORE MANAGER suggested an inspection and scheduled an appointment for a FULL inspection. After inspecting I was informed I needed a list of things as well as tires and alignment. However my battery and brakes were supposedly good. I needed a power steering flush and a coolant flush as well as an oil change; among other things! PHEONIX, their zero star manager who offered me a great deal to do all the work was the one I dealt with. So I agreed to have all of the work done with the assumption that he was a great guy and I left feeling great appreciation!!! But when I left, my car began to make a clicking noise it was not making before so I took it back a few days later to have them inspect the NEW issue. PHEONIX again, told me after looking at the vehicle for two hours there was NOTHING that they could find. Suggested I take it somewhere else that could maybe take a deeper look and if they found an issue that they were at fault for to bring it back. So I did take it to another MR.Tire in another city. (Only bc I passed one while out of town working. ) After a full diagnostic on a machine as well as a real mechanic inspection I was informed of a whole list of work that needed to be done. As well as exactly why it was making the noise. On the list were three things that I just paid to have done at this store!! So, obviously not done! And if they inspected it on the diagnostic machine that every garage should be using they would've found the issues! So of course I went back to request a refund; Respectfully and immediately was given a number to call bc PHEONIX cannot give refunds. So I kindly asked if he could at the least give me direction as to which option to push when calling this corporation! PHEONIX told me straight up that it was not his phone call and he was not going to help me!! I simply asked if he was serious and he gave me a firm Yes! So I stayed on my phone waiting to contact this number. He asked me to leave and I said I'm sorry but I'm not leaving until this is handled. He called the police! If I were being animated or loud even disrespectful then that may have been a valid action! However I was not any of the above, I was simply confused and confounded by the treatment and his poor customer service and absolute lack of care at all to even acknowledge negligence. As if I was the one that was wrong for asking why I was charged for three services that were not even done. Over $400 worth of work!! That then snowballed into more issues!! I am now still waiting for a response from the company I filed the complaint with and requested the refund from to respond with a phone call that is now 48 hrs later than I was told !! However, I will say if you are in Shelby NC the store there on Dekalb St I will take the time to leave a five star. PHEONIX ON PATTON AVENUE IN ASHEVILLE NC is a terrible representation of a company that would like to keep customers. I believe his response was more infuriating than the money I spent on services I didn't receive!!!! Not to mention the other things that my car needed that was should have been assessed by the first inspection was not found somehow! So attached are the pics of the print outs recieved from this piss poor place as well as the full diagnostic and services needed after the inspection from the second Mr.Tire. I purchased tires on Amazon and had them delivered to the Tunnel rd location. Set up a 9 am apt. Called ahead about having a tire pressure sensor replaced and was told no problem. Went in and talked to them ,reminding them I needed a tire pressure, was told the cost and said no problem. They had my truck in the garage from 8:40 am till they brought it out at 11:10 am. 2.5 hours to do a job that should take under an hour. Amazon install was $111 dollars i was charged $153. I thought it was for the tire sensor. When I went out to the truck it was still showing an error they said drive it and it will go out. I went back to the store and was told they didn't charge it . I was under the impression the mounting fee was paid thru Amazon and the $153 was the sensor. WRONG. COMPLETELY INCOMPETENCE. read more

Stop in from out of state and had a huge screw in my tire. Me and my fiancé were on a time restraint to get back to Georgia. James and Kevin were working front desk. Never have met them they came out plugged my tire within 5 minutes and I was out the door within 10min with air in all 4 and a new plug in don't driver tire. I took my truck in on Thursday and was told it would be repaired by Saturday. I was then told on Monday that they were unable to fix the problem. I was still charged and ended up having to find another shop to do the repairs. On top of not repairing the problem they proceeded to try and overcharge me for an unnecessary part replacement. All I got for a response were weak excuses. Do not say you can fix something and fail requiring payment. Worst mechanic experience yet. read more

I don't recommend for basic state inspection or oil changes. They don't seem to want your business. I made an appointment that was confirmed with the shop for a state inspection. I show up early and they ask what I requested. After stating just an inspection, they say we don't take appointments on Sunday, it will take 1-2 hours to get my car checked out. Why offer the option online to make appointmentm Why was my appointment confirmed then? Why ask what I requested if you don't honor appointments? Pretty sketchy.. I drove all the way out to the shop, just to turn around and leave. I made an appointment because I know my car will pass inspection, it would have taken 10 minutes tops if they honored the appointment. My take on it.. they do accept appointments for high priced repairs but for something that won't make them money, they don't mind turning customers away or making you waste your time. Just moved to the area, and on Sunday walked out to find 2 of the tires on my wife's vehicle had gone flat. Google searched tire places that were specifically suppose to be open on Sunday's (as I know lots of places are NOT open on a Sunday). So Mr. Tire off Payton Ave came up. I proceeded to their website found tires we could actually afford (after moving here from Florence SC) and not only that the website allowed me to schedule an appointment for the same day at 1:30pm. So I started the air compressor on the better of the 2 that went flat and changed out the other with the spare and drove to my scheduled appointment. Of course only to find out they're not even open on Sunday's from the sign on their door?!?! Which is what it is, I got over it and limped the car back home. As I went back to their website and proceeded to try and schedule ANOTHER appointment, this time around they took off the option for any appointments to be scheduled on Sunday, of course because they're closed on Sunday's right-so why was I able to schedule an appointment earlier that day for the same day if y'all aren't open? Whatever I digress. So Monday morning i limp my wife's car, yet again, to Mr. Tire off Patton Ave. As soon as I got up to the guy at the counter and told him why I was there he knew exactly who I was/the tires I had requested thru their website; and he told me they didn't even have the tires in stock?!?!?! This really didn't shock me because of what's already transpired. So he had me walk around the counter so I could actually see the list of tires they had and/or could get in for me (as well as the # of tires available). Went thru the list and picked out tires that of course were a little more expensive than the ones I originally wanted, but yet again I digress. He then asked if I'd be available later in the afternoon as of course he had to request the tires from another Mr. Tire location, I said "yessir" and he replied with I'll call you as soon as they come in. That was over 48hrs ago now, and still no phone call!? Welcome to the community I guess was Mr. Tires message and Lord knows I wish I could remember the "man's" name since he clearly needs a refresher lesson on work ethics and customer service. I'm wondering now if I relocated my family to yet another area where the work ethic is NONEXISTENT?!? Or is it really some backwoods shit where people here don't like outsiders? Extremely Dishonest and Over-Priced. I needed an oil change and break inspection, but the certified Honda dealer was full that day, so I decided to check out this place. They informed me my rear breaks needed new rotors and pads and quoted me a price of $350. An hour later the manager told me my car is all set and that I owed over $625! When I asked him how it jumped so hight, he said his quote did not include labor or tax. Well, as a financial analyst, I don't miss these details. When I balked, he offered to negotiate (apparently he substantially padded his fees) and we landed in the $450 range, which I reluctantly paid. I promptly went outside, called the dealer who quoted the work at (get this) $350 parts and labor. He also said they did inspections on other area - which was bologna because my front lights were out and I was headed to the auto-parts store. I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

I am giving a 2 because the staff was polite. However, the experience was terrible. I went to the store and they did not have the tire so ordered it. On the day it was supposed to come in I left my car from 9 to 5. The tire never arrived but what was bothersome is they had no way to track it or tell me when it would be in! I had also asked them to look at another tire and determine if it could be repaired. When I had not heard from them by 2:00 I called and they had not even done that. Honest and competent. Have gone there multiple times for my 2017 Subaru, the car feels perfectly steady, telling me that the wheels are perfectly balanced. Also, they align the dot on the tire with the valve stem. Every time. I appreciate that attention to detail. They've kept their word when they tell me how much things are going to cost, and how long things are going to take, moreover, Kevin, the manager, is a pleasure to talk to, and to do business with. When 5 other tire places in Asheville would not help me because they didn't have "time" to put 1 tire on, Brad at Mr Tire saved the day. We were traveling home from vacation and still had 2 hours to go when the cords started coming apart on my front tire. So I pulled into Asheville and went into 5 different tire places starting at 5:30pm (well before their closing times) and they all turned me down, until I was getting ready to get a hotel room before 1 last try. I asked them to clear an engine code, something they could of charged me for and they just came out with their computer and did it without any charge. Other places wanted to charge me 100 for it. I stopped by this place for a tire rotation and inspection. They told me that my front brakes were wearing thin and that the power steering line was broken. The estimate was $633.32 (with tax) for the front brakes, and the power steering quote was $412.78 (without tax). There were some unnecessary items on the quote such as a "brake system flush". I declined the services and took the car to a family mechanic who said that I still had 75% of my front brake pads left and 85% of my back brake pads. There was nothing wrong with the power steering line. I was so glad that my car was really ok and that I did not have to spend one cent on any repairs when Mr. Tire on Patton Ave would have charged me over $1,000 for their lies. read more

Reading the reviews from many customers, I wish I had seen them before using Mr. Tire. My last visit to Mr. Tire was a total let down. All I can say is I think their pricing is way out of line and either through incompetence or something else repairs were not completed. I did not realise this until after the bill was paid and I was driving home. I would advise my friends: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Forget contacting customer service. They are less than helpful, requiring detailed written proof from a like service company to even consider a conversation on their pricing and lack of completing the repairs. Worst run business ever. Called a week before I wanted to get my oil changed and was told we aren't taking appointments it's a first come first serve. So I showed up 10 minutes after the place was supposed to be open, per the signs on the door, 2 signs they both stated 7:30, but the door was locked. I found a side door which was open so I went inside found the manager who said we are not open, we don't open until 8, I informed him his signs said 7:30. He told me to leave and he would talk to me after 8. So I waited outside until he unlocked the front door. Then he told me we aren't going to be doing oil changes anytime soon find someplace else. Not being from the area and having to travel almost 1000 miles the following week 8 had to now find another place. Also I pointed out that his signs all said open at 7:30 to which he replied oh, they must have changed the hours yesterday. Still no apology. Also I pointed out to him that his signs stated to enter the store you must wear a face mask, I had one on, I asked him where his was and he threw me out. I don't even think one star is even worth it. The customer service is EXCELLENT but the quality of repair is highly questionable. I had my engine "fixed" here and not even a week later my engine light was on because of the very same issue I came to them with. They put an off-brand part on my car that set off abnormal codes causing me a SEVERE headache and hurt on my wallet. I paid them $900+ to fix the problems in my vehicle and ended up with CHEAP parts. I went to a different shop and ACTUALLY fixed my car- 60$ total. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!! totally a scam and they will rip you off!! read more
