Stopped to shop in Asheville yesterday (06-18-2025) while traveling through and managed to get a flat tire. AAA got us going again, and we stopped at Jan Davis Tire Store only because they were the closet. We could not have made a better decision!! They were REALLY busy, but they gave us almost immediate attention. Within several minutes, they determined that the tire in question could not be repaired. That same make tire was not in stock, and to have one delivered would have taken overnight. They suggested mounting a good used tire just to get us home - a suggestion we took. The used tire drove well, and got us back to Central Kentucky with no problem. We were "In and Out" of Jan Davis Tire Store, and back on the road in about an hour. Nice, courteous, friendly folks. I don't know if this is my first or second review of Jan Davis Tire but regardless, this operation is one of the best I have ever known when it comes to tires, brakes, oil changes and the other services they offer. We have three vehicles in the family, and they are all equipped with tires from Jan Davis. Rich and the team there are friendly, patient and super helpful whether its routine services or fixing a flat tire. They check with you on different price options when replacing filters and other consumables so there are no unexpected surprises when paying the bill. Highly recommend this store. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for several weeks now since this happened in July. My husband and I were on a cross country trip from Seattle and when we stopped in Asheville for the night we were in a hotel parking lot and clipped a curb at low speed. It blew the front tire's sidewall. It was a complete bummer as tires had about 25,000 miles or so on them. Called AAA, and while waiting for them emptied overloaded back of SUV and no show on AAA got the spare out from under car and put it on. Since we didn't know anything about tire stores in Asheville spent night looking at Yelp reviews and picked Jan Davis Tires because of the reviews. They are everything that all the great reviews said they were. We showed up first thing in the morning and asked if they could take a look. Rich (he knows his tires!) said if we had time he would see if he could find a tire that would match as the other 3 were good and plenty of wear left, but my husband wanted to just get fitted for a new set. ---we walked to coffee down the road and before our cups were empty they called and said we were ready to go. We came back to a sparkling new set of Michelin's, a tidy car, and the spare and jack neatly tucked away. Also, we were reminded to register with Michelin for their 3 year roadside service which is included. Amazing!!!! (Goodbye AAA+). Off we went on the rest of our 5000 mile road trip! Jan Davis Tires was our favorite stop in Asheville---next to the Biltmore!!! :) If you need tire service go see them. I've known Jan and his darling wife since the eighties and traded with them a lot. When I need tires, a flat fixed, or brakes, that's where I go and I never left the place gritting my teeth thinking I had been had. Now it's about time for new tires and a lot of that lube around the seams when they fix the tires to the rims (so's they don't leak), and oh, yes, get those idiotic pressure sensors either fixed or removed. read more

I had a little one car accident this morning. Pulled over and didn't see any damage. Stopped for fuel and saw a gash in my tire. Immediately drove to Jan Davis tire. Mr. Davis was working and he looked at the tire. Unfortunately it was a new one I just put on in June. He said it was right on the line as to needing to replace both tires. I explained I have a child in college right now and really could only afford one tire. So he kept my car to find one. He called later and said he found a matching used one in the warehouse and he had already had it installed. He gave me a reasonable price. Thank you Mr. Davis. These guys are extremely professional, thorough, and quick. They provide a great value and even better customer service. One of my new tires arrived with a very small flaw in it, and not only did they notice it and tell me about it, but they insisted that I come back the next day for a replacement, just to ensure the best quality possible. We were in a vacation trip in Asheville and as we left our hotel we realized that our tire was flat. We had gotten a nail. Our tires are run flat and we had a similar issue before where replacing the tire was approximately 300 dollars at the BMW dealer. We called Jan Davis Tires and they kindly fit us in right away. He inspected the tire and told us that they could fix it, and there was no need to replace the whole tire. They got us in and out in 20 minutes at a very reasonable price. Great experience! Highly recommended! and now we are heading to more fun. read more

I took my 90 year old mom's car to get new tires and alignment, great job, good people. Approximately 2 months later I had a tire puncture and go flat on the week end, had to change the tire and took the new tire to get it fixed 8.00 Monday morning, they told me I need an appointment cause they only worked with people with appointments, but would try to work me in...They never did...I had to go get my tire.I ended up having to go to another tire store to get my tire fixed. No service after the sale. Can't recommend them at all. They did get alot of my money. read more

Good communication - helpful and friendly staff. Called Jan's on the phone for a nail we had in the tire - and Jan gave us an accurate time estimate and let us know when to come in. Jan's crew completed the repairs on the tire in their estimated time, and additionally went through and re-did/fixed an old repair done by another tireshop free of service. They offer a great selection of quality tires and help with best recommendation for your driving style and vehicle. A happy ending: We experienced a scary blowout at night on an unfamiliar freeway hundreds of miles from home. We took the tire in to Jan Davis, and they replaced it with a good used one at a very reasonable price. Being from out of state and not a regular customer, we could have been taken advantage of. Super service here today. Came straight from the Toyota dealer who pressured me to purchase tires with them. The Toyota dealer gave me a quote of $580 for 4 no name tires with no stated warranty. The price here was $460 for Yokohama tires with 65,000 mile warranty. And it includes free rotation every 5000 miles. Tires were on and car was ready in under 1 hour!
