We took our daughters tire there because it blew out & the rim was bent. Just needed a new tire put on the rim & for it to hold air so we could get it 20 minutes up the road to our home. The Manager Jacob Harter immediately got a tech to look it over & after discussing pro's & con's of using the same rim they agreed to try. It worked & we were able to safely get home. Scheduled oil change, apparently thru a call center, was told cost would be $44.99 over the phone. I pull up, my appt was at 6, no other customers were there, so I pulled up my car in front of the bay. I get out of my car and was told that I cant pull my car here in front of the bay because its a safety hazard. (???) I tell them im here for my appointment and I pulled car up because no one was here. Like really dude? Well they weren't aware of my appointment that I had made a hour prior, so ok, I go in tell the girl behind the counter my name and that I am here for an oil change. She never asked me anything about what type of oil change I wanted, just proceeded to fill out info in computer then printed a sheet telling me to sign for $123.45 for the oil change. My response was "Hold Up", I was told 44.99 over the phone. She proceeded to tell me that I use synthetic oil... I said I normally have my vehicle serviced at the Honda dealership and I have never paid $123.45 for an oil change in my life and im not about to start here. This is ridiculous. She gave me my key and then said we are pulling ur car out. I just checked on their website and there are 3 options/packages for oil changes. One 44.99 synthetic; 2nd 77.99 synthetic high mileage and $98.99 for full synthetic. If she would have checked and spoke to me about what I the customer needs, she would have found out I needed a synthetic blend but nope goes right for the highest cost oil change without checking with the customer who is paying for the service. Needless to say I told her to shove it. Make sure you bring lube with you to this Mr Tire location because they will screw u without lube first. read more

Simple appointment scheduling with no wait. Good work. Good communications. Did have a single issue once when they didn't have the part and had to wait an extra 30 min to get it. I use their services frequently for a whole lot less than the dealer and far exceeds repeated misfire with Jiffy Lube. So for what they do, they do it well. read more

Had an 8:30am appointment to get a purge valve changed out. store was supposed to be open at 7:30am and I arrived at the shop at about 8:15am, there was nobody there to open the shop until about 9:15. once I was finally able to get checked in for what was supposed to have been a 30 minute fix, i was told be the guy that they somehow never got the part in after having gotten the initial check on my engine on Friday the 20th. so I wasted half my morning only to have to push back the repair another week. Also, email addresses posted at the store for the Market Manager and Assistant Manager both seem to be fake, messages sent to both were undeliverable. P.S.- I called the customer service number in the reply I received here. Mr. Tire's customer service is outsourced, by the way. The guy said he called the shop and was told they'd have the part by next week, which still doesn't help me in regard to my wasted time from the previous day. Took a 2003 Altima there for a state inspection. Everything was fine except for the wipers (typical). I asked the price. Was quoted $19.95 and $3.00 to install. A little high for wipers but needed the inspection. Guess what? Final bill for a state inspection $31.95; wipers $46 twice the amount quoted; total service $77.93 but wait there's more; shop supply fee $7.79. Tax on top of all this was $5.14 for a grand total of $90.86. Mind you, nothing wrong with the car but the wipers (questionable). I looked up the wipers on walmart and sure enough they don't see the "exact" wipers (by design) and that means they won't have to price match. Typical Trico Blades Pro Beam around $28-30; not $46. Bottom line up front they failed the PA State inspection on my car for bad right front inner and outer ball joints ($500 is what they wanted to charge which I thought was ridiculous). I didn't believe this so took it to another shop... yep they were perfectly fine! I don't write many reviews but this makes my blood boil. I was out of town and my mother in law took the car in. When she told me what failed I was in disbelief (I have a mechanical background and I do all repairs on my vehicle). I purchased tires for my car on Tire Rack and they recommended this location as an installer. Appointment process was quick and easy, great! I arrive at my scheduled appointment and meet Alan who immediately wants to know what TireRack quoted, I tell him $94, he says " that sounds real close ". After my car tires are installed I go in to pay and am presented a bill for $164. I ask what happened to $94 and our conversation quickly devolves into a swearing match on both sides as Alan justified the higher bill because my car needed new TPMS valve stems. I ask why he didn't discuss this before doing it and I'm told to "leave his f*ckin store" which is no problem as I never intend to return. On the way home I stop to clean my new tires and discover that the additional charge on my bill is new TPMS valve stems AND a TPMS service. Guess what?! They weren't even replaced!!! DO Not even WANT to even give this place a 1, but it makes me.The new Employees that are running this place, are the rudest bunch of Individuals I have even met. I am a long-time customer for over 10 years and have taken ALL my vehicle to this company. The former employees were very reliable, friendly, and professional. Upon pulling up to get my vehicle serviced, I asked the gentleman where the prior employees were. The response I received was " OH WE FIRED THEM". My next issue was, I was addressed as "BUDDY", when asking or responding to a disagreement about my vehicle, by a mechanic who was about to pull my Vehicle into the bay to be serviced. This Mechanic should NOT be allowed to speak with customers, or interact with them, as they have no Customer Service skills, or bed side manners. Very UNPROFESSIONAL atmosphere. The service personal should be fired or replaced with management and customer service who know how to run an efficient store. This place is disgusting in the inside. There is no place to sit, but a couch that is already very crowded, and the restrooms are DISGUSTING!!!!! Do yourself a service and stay away. I made an appointment about five days ago for Monday morning 11am. While on the phone, I stated what the issue could be and that I needed a second opinion before utilizing my warranties. LESS THAN ZERO STARS - My complaint is common - I went in to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I was told I had an oil leak and one of my transmission hoses was also leaking. Before going to Mr. Tire, I took the cap off (valve stem) my front driver side tire to see if I was going to get the rotate & Balance. ummmmmm, NO. For $19.99 I DID get the oil change but I didn't get the rotate and balance. The Tires were never Rotated. Do I trust either if the Chambersburg locations?...........No. The location off of Wayne Ave (in Chambersburg) told my wife that she failed her inspection. We took it to another auto shop (Not telling them about Mr Tire inspection) and we only needed to do was to clean the front head light lens. Where do I begin!?! Well I'm currently on rotation in Europe so my car isnt being used well today Thursday June 20 2019 I'm told my rear tire is flat. So I did a inspection on my car last week and I failed it so Alan gave me a list of what was wrong with my car but did not give me an estimate on exactly what needs to be done and told me and my boyfriend Chris it was on back of the order on what needs to be done and it wasn't and what needed to be fixed so I thought about it and said okay I'll do the work on it so I called in to give Alan the okay to get the parts and fix my car so he said okay I'll call you when we get the parts. I myself even called in and talked to Alan to schedule an appointment for my car and he seemed like a little like defensive. So here comes Friday my bf calls and Alan answers the phone and ask him hey there Alan do you have the parts in for my girlfriends car and he said unfortunately no we don't and he seemed bothered and annoyed by him calling probably because he was the only one there working that day in to check to see if he had the parts in for my car and said I'm not sure when we'll get the parts to be honest and with the COVID thing and it being memorial weekend probably not. So we call Saturday and we talk to Christian and he we ask him about the parts since Alan isn't there and he tells us that there's no parts yet so we say okay cool and keep in mind we keep calling in we receive no phone call from them what so ever... then the whole weekend goes by and we keep waiting and waiting for a call finally me and my Bf give them until Tuesday afternoon to call us so we call up Tuesday afternoon and Alan answers and my bf Chris states his name and Alan says hey what's up?? Really what's up so Chris says hey Alan we're just going to go to another place and take the car there and cancel our appointment and Alan goes oh we have the parts in for her car. So I called the Mr. Tire on Norland Ave. in Chambersburg, PA to get a price on a single tire. They told me the tire I requested was not in stock but could have it the next day and quoted me a price of around $195 out the door. I said let me check a few other places and they said they would match and beat any price by 5%. Fast forward a couple days later and I go to the Mr. Tire and they tell me the same tire out the door is over $225. I told them the quote I was given on the phone and the assistant manager Chris said that it could not have been a quote from Mr. Tire....so I said if it wasn't why would they have answered the phone as Mr. Tire and gave the same speech he did when I called. No answer of course. So I had to buy a much cheaper product just to be able to drive my vehicle and will never go back to a Mr. Tire. Even if they give you a lower price I would recommend choosing someone else because they obviously lie to customers and that cheap price they quote will most definitely increase by the time you get in the store. We went to Mr. Tire for a leaky brake cell and ended up being quoted over $450 for new brakes (they had just been replaced 2 days prior) when we refused they would not release our vehicle from the lift and told us they would call the police if we drove it off their lot "a safety issue for the poilce" SO we had a local tow person come and tow it to our usual garage, next day fixed there for less than $45. These people are the absolute epitome of lying, scheming, thieving crooks. I was forced to deal with them for a couple of oil changes, because my car's finance company parners with them. They require and provide a free inspection and oil change through them on an annual basis. Last year (after getting an oil change at Mr. Tire), I coincidentally had my car in the auto shop owned by my landlord for an estimate on tires. I had actually asked Mr. Tire for one when getting the oil change, and the guy said, "I don't know. Tires are around 500 bucks". When getting four new tires from my landlord's shop, he said I needed an oil change. I said I had just gotten one. He said that not only had one not been performed, but there was virtually no oil in the car at all. I was about to drive across country at the time (a trip he said the vehicle probably wouldn't have made successfully). He called Mr. Tire and told them about it, after which the manager had another one performed for us and gave me a card for a free oil change in the future. Fast forward several months, and yesterday I decided to use that card, because I need an oil change, am tight on money, and am again about to make a long drive. First, after getting it done, they tried to convince me I needed hundreds of dollars worth of extra crap done (which I declined, of course). Then, as I'm leaving, I notice my 'check engine' light is on (and wasn't before). I go back, they tinker around and get it off. After my last experience, the next place I went was back to my landlord's shop to let him check it. And (you guessed it), the didn't do it again!! And most of the fluid levels were woefully low!! My landlord said I was the second person THAT DAY that had come in their shop randomly having not had work done that they had paid for at Mr. Tire. He said it was epidemic with both locations in town. These people belong in jail, not in business. I wouldn't have taken the time to be this thorough if I wasn't sincere (and furious). Don't risk it. Scott performed a 4 wheel alignment on my vehicle today. The entirety of the process was 35 minuets. My initial thought was that Scott is a efficient & seasoned mechanic. A late 40's white guy began to process the info in the computer system. I then requested a spec printout of the before and after details regarding the alignment. He disingenuously informed me the printer is down as he handed me my receipt.This guy then, seconds later PRINTS 2 papers which I needed to sign... After many cars & alignments, this is the first shop I have been to in which it wasn't standard procedure to provide the customer with the alignment specs. As, I drove home the steering wheel was not centered and it still had a slight pull. Better than before but a rushed job at best. I would recommend avoiding this chain service, it may seem convenient being how the do not close until 7pm, however it would spare you a $125 dollars and the frustration I am experiencing. Find a shop or mechanic who will provide you with a quality service. And this is not the shop. Scott none of this shade is aimed at you, just your corny manager for not running the location the way it should be. read more

DO NOT go to Mr.Tire under any circumstances, their coupons are just a way to get you in the door and try to take extra money! I had a coupon for $20 off, if bill is over $50. I needed an oil change and an inspection done. I called to set an appointment, and they said they had no state inspection stickers. So I set the appointment for a week from then. I showed up for the appointment, and they still had no stickers. So I asked them to call me when they came in. The following Tuesday they called, and I set the appointment for Friday at 2pm. I came in on that date, and they finally had stickers. BUT, of course they found something to reject, and offered their services, 2 hours later. They were trying to scam an extra $200 from a simple inspection. As I sat there for 2.5 hours, I listened to their phone conversations, and the walk-ins. With no exceptions, the customer wanted, or had ordered online, and they didn't have the product! So for just a little bit more, they could give them something else! What a scam! Well I declined the extra $200 service, and went to leave, and my car was making a grating noise that hadn't been there when I pulled in. I went back in, and the guy had the nerve to ask me if I had left my ebrake on! Bad enough they were trying to "take "me, and they called me "dear", the guy even asked me why I came in if I had such a bad attitude! Now my new noise is blamed on operator error! So they pulled it back in, and now all of a sudden there is rust on the brake drum that needs to be ground. At least they didn't charge for that. But as I was driving to work, I noticed now my car pulls to the right, and its always been in good alignment until now. So I will never set foot in a Mr.Tire again, unless they messed something up that they WILL fix! read more

This place is the worst and least professional place I have ever taken my vehicle to. I had a coupon for a 15.99 state inspection, and to their credit they did inspect my vehicle for the 15.99. However, they failed my vehicle and explained that I needed 500.00 worth of work to have it pass; however, when I told them I would get other opinions the manager kept aggressively telling me how "great" of a deal this was that I was getting. I thought this sounded suspicious so I took it to another shop, and voila....surprising these items did not need to be fixed!! Steer VERY VERY VERY clear of this place!!
