An absolute joke. My 81-year-old mother-in-law went in to get an oil change and her tires rotated. She also had a vibration in a tire that she wanted checked out. After changing her oil, charging her several hundred dollars, and sending her on her way... she went to someone else. Her wheel was literally about to fall off because the wheel bearing was so bad, they said her tires had never been rotated, and I honestly would be surprised if her oil had even been changed. I just had my winter tires swapped out for summer ones in the most courteous, professional, and expert way imaginable by Ryan at Mr. Tire in Oneonta. This shop gets my highest possible recommendation without any hesitation whatsoever. Many places don't know how to put Teslas up on a lift, but Ryan not only knew how to do this but had his own "pucks" (which ensure that the car's battery isn't damaged by the lift). He was also familiar with all the necessary aspects of my car's electronics and systems. A great experience all around! I'll be back for future needs. read more

I moved to the area a few years ago so I wasn't familiar with the area too well. I got tires there for my 2012 Silverado in 2018 and haven't gone anywhere else since. So the parent company of this garbage place answered on yelp with the old get ahold of us we want to fix it crap. So we called and they say well go out and buy a tire and we will subtract the milage that you got out of the faulty tire and pay the difference! Are you kidding me?! That was a manufacture mistake and we don't even get a replacement tire?! Then they say well you cant go back to that tire place because they said they wont work on your car?! What in the actual crap is that?! They mess up, and then they wont work with us? And not replace the tire?! Excuse me NOPE! The first time I went for oil change and tire rotation, I left and they forgot to clear the code for rotating the tires, I had go the following week to have it reset. The uneducated person try to tell me that my lithium batteries were going bad. it's a 2019 GMC Sierra. A lithium battery can las 7 to 20 years! read more

I just moved here from PA with a very old car. I've brought it in twice so far and they couldn't have been any kinder. The first time, it was something small...they put it on the lift and spent about 1/2 hr fixing it. They didn't even charge me. The second time, I had an oil change and a general inspection to see what might go wrong next. They charged me $21. It's not easy to find mechanics in a new city without getting ripped off a few times so I couldn't be more pleased with their kindness and their costs. In respone to Erin S's review....maybe they're more concerned for your welfare than the guys at Monser Bros. Here's something for you to read. Can I Mix Tires? As a general rule, tires should not be mixed on any vehicle unless specified as acceptable by the tire or vehicle manufacturer. Drivers should avoid mixing tires with different tread patterns, internal constructions or sizes (unless front and rear staggered sizes are specified by the vehicle manufacture), and use identical tires on all of their vehicle's wheel positions in order to maintain the best control and stability. Additionally, drivers should never mix winter tires with all-season/summer tires, or mix run-flat tires with non-run-flat tires. read more

Went to a normal oil change and tire rotation like I always do in this store. Non of the familiar faces were there, two young guys were at the front desk, no manners what so ever. I told the what I usually get and no conversation what so ever. The best part was when he cash me out he told a price double the price what I usually pay. They charge inflated prices and took 3 1/2 hours to do my rear break pads and synthetic oil change. $120 for the oil change and $200 for rear break pads only. He was mad because I wouldn't let them change perfectly good rotors with only 74k on them. No apology for the long wait, (yes, I had an appointment). They wanted $500 for the complete break package on just the rear axel. read more

Initially I brought all three of my Vehicles to Mr. Tire in Oneonta NY. The lady at the service desk, Regina, was very courteous and professional. She empathized with the fact that my husband is in a wheelchair. So she efficiently got us in and out. I recently brought my Mini Cooper in for rear brake pads. I scheduled the appointment three days in advance. I am always punctual. I wait for an hour only for the man at the service desk, Gary, to tell me they do not have my brakes! So I wait another 30 minutes for my tires etc to be put back on and told to come back at 2pm. When I come back at 2pm Gary tells me the brakes still aren't in!!!! I live 45 minutes away!!!! So I ask if he could call me when they do because this is very inconvenient! The following day Gary leaves a voice mail that my brakes are in. So I get there first thing in the morning. Two hours later my brakes are finished but in doing so the technician breaks the sensor! Gary apologizes again and assured me I will not have to pay for the part! Lol why should I they broke it!!!!! I ask for a call when the part comes in. That never happens. So I call and I'm put on hold for 15 minutes. The woman who is NOT Regina picks up again to ask what I was holding for! REALLY!!! My 10 year old could do a better job of customer service! When I tell her I'll bring it someplace else and Mr. Tire can reimburse me, she quickly Refers to Gary who's standing next to her and he says "oh yeah the part is here." As long as the two of them are running things this Mr. Tire should plan on losing a lot of business! read more

Wow, I called Mr. Tire this morning in a desperate search for TWO snow tires. I was asked if I was matching them to the two snows that I had and I told the man no. He then outright refused to sell me tires unless I bought 4 snow tires. He went on to tell me how unsafe it was to drive two snow tires and two all seasons. I believe I know the risks and am willing to take them, there is no law against it and it's a hell of a lot safer then my current tires that left me stranded along the side of 206 this morning for over an hour! I will be on my way to Monser Brothers tomorrow afternoon to get TWO snow tires......mounted and balanced! Scammers! read more

I had to make an appointment for tire replacement, oil change and inspection. They asked for make and model of my vehicle and never said that I would need specialty tires ordered. I showed up to my appointment to be rudely told that they would need a week to order my tires, that I should have requested the specific tires, and I would have to schedule another appointment. They didn't bother with the inspection and didn't tell me until I paid that because my tires wouldn't pass inspection that they only did an oil change. I literally called another tire shop in the parking lot to get tires ordered. I will not be going back. read more

I was just getting my snow tires switched out for my summer tires, and they let me know there was something weird with my brake pads (one was almost down to nothing, but the others looked fine - probably from a different place I had gotten brake work done at). They had time that afternoon so they were able to replace my brake pad that day, and my car is feeling a lot better for it! read more
