Jennifer the store manager needs an award for customer service alone. Not to mention the value in the services they provide to the customers. This should be a standard at any establishment that claims to serve the public! However, we all know that nowadays most people no longer gave an operating moral compass. Unfortunately a great percentage of people do not care about the way they treat others nor do they care about the value of service they provide. My tire leaked air pressure overnight. I changed it out and put the spare tire on. I went to Mr. Tire in Shelby and the technician looked at my tire while it was in the trunk of the car and said he didn't see a leak. I asked him could he spray it and look for a leak. So he took it into the shop and sprayed only the center tread and then looked at me and said he did not see a leak. I asked him are you not gonna spray the whole tire. So he let me spray it and I immediately found the leak. This is terrible service, and he acted like he did not want to make a repair. read more

I wish zero stars was an option here I do not recommend anyone patronizing this business. Recently a family member purchased a set of tires ($700) from this location. After taking more than 3 hours to install the tires the customer was verbally accosted by the service technician because he was asked why the service took so long. The on duty manager (Justin) witnessed the incident and was apologetic. It was also revealed the service technician had been a problem employee for sometime but was still retained as an employee. It was decided that we wanted the tires off the car and a refund was requested. The manager attempted to contact the primary manager (Dale) who was off but could not be reached. We were asked to return Monday (incident took place on a Friday) when the manager (dale) was on duty. On Monday the manager (Dale) was contacted and he advised that the employee was suspended (still employed) and he would have to seek authorization to refund the purchase. We were later contacted advising the employee was terminated but no refund. Unacceptable!!!! After calls to the corporate office we have yet to receive a return call from corporate. No one should spend their hard earned money where they are not appreciated or respected. My advice is no one should patronize this company as it is my opinion they are comfortable the negative retention of bad employees and DO NOT believe their customers should be appreciated and if anything happens which contradicts this belief they will Not make sure the customer is satisfied regardless how reasonable the request. If have the choice and you live in Shelby spend your money Oakies or some other business which will appreciate you as customer. read more

I called Mr Tire a week earlier to get a quote on some tires, the young lady who answered the phone took some info from me then put me on hold for about 10 minutes, then came back got the rest of my personal information and said she'd call me back with the quote. After an entire week I still haven't heard from her. Customer service is definitely a lost art. read more

I had an appt (10am Saturday) to get 4 new tires put on my 2014 Maxima. Only 1 tire was getting bad, but i was going to replace all 4. I asked if they would check them and advise me...and of course, they recommended all 4 get replaced. About 5 minutes later they ask me to step into the shop. The guy told me that my lug nuts were "swollen" and his torque wrench would NOT fit them. He said he could "force" the fit and ruin the nuts and i could buy new ones. Who does that??? My car is straight factory, nothing after market. I told them to cancel my order, lower my car off the jack and give me my keys. I'll get service elsewhere. read more

My parents have been going here for years.... sadly will not be going back... $65.00 for oil change.... not One word to my grieving mother after telling them that her husband, my father had passed away last week... Sadly I cannot select 0 stars, so by default it will be receiving only one. I took my jeep there because a sensor light was on and i wanted it turned off. This is a common problem in my car - i have had it checked by multiple mechanics, its just a sensor malfunction. Mr. Tire charged me $180.00 to run a diagnostic test to tell me that I needed a new engine and 3 tires.. I was told to go to auto zone and buy a special kind of Oil for my engine and they would put it in for free. When i returned to pick up my jeep after they did the oil procedure, I was charged for the procedure and service fee for "disposal of waste." My mother went back up to the shop to ask about the additive fees (she had a few questions about my jeep as well) and they stated that they refused to communicate with her because she was "Irate" We will never be returning to Mr. Tire of Shelby. read more
