So Oakies has the cheaper tires in the county. Only one issue... it smells god awful in there. They have close to 50 cats I'd estimate and the urine smell will literally take your breath away. It's sad they maintain these conditions because they could easily be the top tier spot for many miles. read more

I will NEVER visit them again, even if the service was free. They have at least 15 stray (unclean) cats inside the waiting area / office roaming around. I'm sure they poop & piss inside as well. The area smells terrible!!! I left immediately without any services done. read more

A few weeks ago I stopped by Oakies and at first was kinda shocked that there wasn't anyone working to be found. All the bays had chains blocking them, as well no customer cars in their parking area. It was mid-afternoon so they should've been open for business. Luckily the door showed an 'open sign', so I went inside and immediately was floored by a strong smell of cat urine from numerous cats in their office area. At first I thought, 'Oh well, maybe I just caught them on a bad day.' There was one employee fiddling with the register, so I walked over and stood practically right in front of him. One cat on their counter was wanting affection so I petted him while waiting for service. The employee never acknowledged I was there by not uttering a word, nor did I. I waited a few minutes and a female employee entered the room. She and the guy employee never spoke to each other, nor said one word to me such as, 'Can I help you?'. After a couple of minutes I walked out of the place wondering what was going on with Oakies. Years ago in the 90's and early 2000's I did a lot of business there. The place was hopping with a ton of employees and a lot of customers. I recall a few cats then but nothing like now and definitely no strong urine smell in the office. Something happened to the place, but I don't know what. I will not go back and suggest to others, unless you're ok with a pungent odor of cat urine and rude employees, avoid this place like the plague. read more

Squeezed me in same day where most tire shops were too busy but took forever and my throat hurts from how bad the cat pee smell was in there

Went today to get my tires rotated I had purchased at Oakie's . It was about 4 and I was told they would not have time to do them today. I also had a slack tire and asked if they could at least put some air in it and after checking with someone in the back, I was told I could wait but they might not have time to get to it today!!!! I called ahead and made sure they had used tires for my car. When we showed up we dropped my car off, went to grab something to eat, came back and it was taken care of. I had no problems checking out, no wait, and service was friendly and affordable. They also have dogs, cats, and birds in the waiting area just hanging out. It was a nice distraction. Just wow...I've purchased tires here for over two decades, on a commercial account, and a private account with agricultural tires. I will never purchase another tire from these folks. I needed just a tube replaced on a fram tractor and I called them to get a quote for the job. ($180???!!!) The person who answered the phone was a complete ass. As he was when I was putting a complete set of tires on my personal vehicle and I asked about the tube. I purchased the tube/tires a couple years ago and he claims he has no record of it...almost a 1000 job and he has no record. today he claims two gallons of basic antifreeze is $24 and all but calls me a liar that the cost to replace the tube is more than what I paid for them to come out and replace to old tires/tubes. I have bought tires and had various other jobs done for over 15 years with this establishment and spent thousands of dollars. The last 2 times I have noticed the lack of care or concern they have for the customer. I think the sons are running the front now and somebody different in garage area but all are complete assholes who will completely ignore you except to take your money. I left there Friday and drove 1 mile to Griffins and was completely satisfied. I will never give Oakie's another dime of my money. read more
