The crab cakes were hands down some of the best I've ever had! They were packed with large, juicy lumps of crab meat with very little filler. I would order those again and again without hesitation. The scallops and shrimp were also absolutely delicious, and the kids' mac and cheese was surprisingly flavorful. Even the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The crab burger was good as well, although the burger itself could have used a little more seasoning. It was huge, though, and definitely filling. My cousin also couldn't stop talking about how perfectly the sweet tea was made. Crab egg roll was okay. It had a lot of lump crab meat but that was it. It needs something else in there. Calamari was chewy... so that makes me think it's either previously frozen or just not a good quality. Unfortunately, there were a few things that took away from the experience. The bread served before the meal was dry and hard, and none of us enjoyed it. The service was inconsistent. Some of the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, while others gave the impression that they simply didn't want to be there. That kind of inconsistency makes a difference when you're dining in. The biggest disappointment was the restroom. It was in rough shape. There were flies inside, the stall doors barely closed, and the makeshift "bootleg" locks didn't make the restroom feel clean or well maintained. That's definitely something that needs attention. I also have to mention the automatic gratuity. I've said this in previous reviews, and my opinion hasn't changed. I am not a fan of gratuity being automatically added to the bill. We were a party of just three adults and two babies, yet an 18% gratuity was added. I completely understand automatic gratuity for large parties or private events, but for a group our size, it felt excessive. I'm already a generous tipper when I receive good service, but I prefer that tip reflects the experience rather than being mandatory. Would I go back? For a sit-down meal, probably not. Between the inconsistent service, the automatic gratuity, and the condition of the restroom, it wasn't the dining experience I hoped for. However, the food--especially those incredible crab cakes--was good enough that I would absolutely consider ordering takeout in the future.
