It was so tempting to run back here the next morning! This is one of the best breakfast sandwiches…read moreI've had. I'm always impressed when heavy meals don't weigh you down. The fresh ingredients really help. The sandwiches had big flavor and the proportions are great. (I was full enough to skip lunch.) We ordered the OG breakfast sandwiches --one with bacon and the other with chorizo. I'd recommend the bacon one. We also got the hash browns. It was over too quickly with 2 pieces in an order. As others mentioned, the strawberry jam was a nice touch. The location is only an order window so we took our sandwiches home. The owner is very polite and you can tell he puts care into the service. We hope to visit again the next time we're in the area!

They have a limited menu, which is great for people like me who can never decide what they want to eat. We ordered an OG, Poblano avo and some hash cakes. The man who rung us up was super nice and appreciative. The order comes out insanely hot and insanely fresh. My mouth was watering so badly I couldn't get the sandwich unwrapped fast enough. I got the OG with sausage and it was smashed and crispy, the egg was nice and fluffy and the salsa and cream cheese added a little spice and creaminess which was a phenomenal balance with the crispness of the smashed sausage. The bread was also delicious and super soft. The avocado on the other sandwich made it more hearty which I appreciate. The chewiness of the bread works really well with all the soft elements in this sandwich. The hash cakes were divine. Perfectly crisp and served with a raspberry sauce. I do think, however, they could be made without the beef tallow and be equally as delicious and that way non-meat eaters could enjoy them, too. I live 30 minutes away from Poblano South but would not at all mind making the drive to keep having these divine menu items. 10/10 totally worth it. Keep in mind, while they do have a card reader, they prefer cash! The total came to $37 and it was worth every single penny.

The restaurant had a relaxed crowd and didn't feel overly loud even once more people started coming in. The fish in both dishes tasted fresh and the seasoning on the sandwich had a good kick without being overwhelming. Our server was attentive from the start and kept checking on drink refills without hovering around the table too much. Food timing was reasonable and everything arrived hot. I also appreciated that the staff seemed genuinely friendly instead of forcing small talk. Overall it felt like an easy place to sit, eat, and unwind for a while.

Waiter came over to take our drink orders. I opted for the VG lemon drop cocktail on the table ad. Waiter poured it table side and it was the clearest lemon drop I'd ever seen. There was live music to sing along to until he left then we DJ'd our own music on the TouchTunes via the app. It was a nice vibe. Waitress came over and remade my drink to a proper lemon drop. Shared delicious pretzel bites with friends and also ordered the soup or the day, chicken poblano which was creamy and tasty. Overall we had a grand time hanging out and the staff are all super pleasant and cool.

Looking for a classic "Florida Bar" with great food? Look no further than Elmo's Rock Bar & Grill…read more We found this gem Saturday afternoon and we'll be back! Classic dark respite from Florida's sun and endless Tiki bar scene. By 2:00 the place was hopping with very polite regulars and staffed with one of the most efficient and hard working bartenders I've ever seen. I started to worry because the Bar was packed and the bartender was also handling the tables. I didn't need to worry. She was the best! Kept me stocked with ice cold beer. The menu is limited to bar food but it is done very well. I had a burger that was very tasty and done perfectly. My wife has a French dip sandwich that she said was delicious. Add hand cut fries to the burgers and ice cold beer and you have a perfect Florida afternoon!

I got the pretzels and cheese as an appetizer, which was very obviously just SuperPretzel and microwaved cheese. The blasting fan above me did not help with the consistency of the cheese, which quickly turned into a solid and no longer stuck to my pretzel. I didn't have high hopes for my entree, and when I finally received my Philly cheesesteak, I was met with two "melted" slices of cheddar cheese slapped on top. Yes, the same cheddar cheese that hardened with my pretzels. Much to my dismay, I was only able to handle about two bites of my cheesesteak before I lost my appetite and could not finish. I tried to eat my fries which tasted like fryer grease, and then I went outside to get some fresh air, just to be met with the smell of cigarettes as all of the employees were outside smoking. I thought maybe the bathroom was the next best option, to which I was met with a urinal stripped off the wall, with dirty toilet paper covering the open pipes. Overall, bad food and mediocre at best service. The place was a dump, cold and uninviting, and I will certainly not be back.

The menu had a lot of interesting options, but those two ended up being the highlights for our table. The deviled eggs had a subtle smoky flavor that worked really well without being overpowering. I also liked the cauliflower more than expected since it stayed crispy instead of getting soggy in the sauce. Service felt steady throughout the night even when more tables started filling in around us. Our server checked on timing, kept drinks refilled, and gave us space to enjoy the meal without rushing anything. The whole place had a relaxed neighborhood feel that made dinner easygoing.

A few of the things I liked.. - Fruit juice used for mixers is made in-house fresh daily. The drinks are creative and made well. - The sweet and sour cauliflower, the sliders, the chicken and dumplings. - Servers are always knowledgeable and attentive - indoor and outdoor seating with fans on a warm day. Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try and seeing if you agree with my review.
