Stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken after seeing countless TikToks about the Reaper and Dave's in general. Curiosity finally got me but really I wanted to go to a sandwich shop but they didn't have my order available lol I ordered ahead, and thank goodness, because the line was wrapped. I don't think this location was designed well. The line blocks the side door, and the ordering area inside is pretty small, which made everything feel chaotic. I went straight to the pickup side of the counter and inquired about my order. The food wasn't ready yet and took about another 7 minutes, but I wasn't tripping since they were clearly slammed. I believe the associate's name was Bri, and she was nice with good customer service, which I appreciated. Food-wise, I was slightly disappointed. The tenders were a good size, and everything was cooked well. I ordered two sliders, even though I don't really like bread like that, one hot and one medium. They were marked, but honestly looked the same and tasted the same. Both were very mild, no real heat at all. I think they messed up my order, at least I hope so cause otherwise dubya tee eff, Dave. I added Dave's sauce and honey like the good people of TikTok told me to do lol, but the food was still just okay. I ended up eating most of the second tender by itself, and it didn't have much flavor. At least the chicken wasn't dry. The fries were crisp, and I grabbed some cheese sauce to go with them. I liked all the pickles and was hoping I could use them to cool off the hot sammich, but you see that didn't go as planned! Overall, I'd say try Dave's if you're curious. I'm not opposed to giving it another shot, but I'm in no rush. read more

Honestly not worthy the hype. I've now been two times. I thought the first experience was maybe just the rush of opening and the hype but now a second time, a month later it's no better. I ordered online and waited almost 30 minutes after the promised time for the dower to be ready. There is not enough people working the counter and the staff in the back seems like they need help and a proper leader. The one lady up front kept telling them keep the orders going, stop waiting for other things to be ready. Inside they did a great job with decorating. Not sure why they made that weird middle wall, it took up space that could've been used for seating. The food... over priced and not at all as expected, much less not like the Boca location. read more

Staff was very friendly. Service was at least a 10 minute wait very good. Ordered cheese fries a drink and Dave's medium bites. The fires were seasoned and right amount of cheese. The chicken had a good taste. Medium was not spicy so I will definitely will be back to try different sauces maybe even try a slider. The restaurant was clean. The art on the wall was amazing!! Daves knows how to do CHICKEN! Would highly recommend ordering ahead via the app plus you get points/rewards! I like the Medium as far as spice level- it has the perfect kick and don't forget the Dave's sauce to really take the meal to the next level. Don't be alarmed by the price, as their tenders are on the higher end compared to other fast food restaurants but the size of there tenders are massive- well worth it! Dave's also has some of the best pickles and they pair them with all their meals- its a Dave's staple! Don't forget to get a side of their mac-n-cheese, its cheesy, gooey and so so good!! read more

I've been to three different Dave's Hot Chicken locations along the East Coast and this unfortunately was the most mixed experience. They do have an opportunity at the checkout to get a free milkshake which was nice, however, the chocolate milkshake was very runny and chocolate was not fully incorporated. I always get the medium chicken and this time my mouth was burning on the sandwich! Everything was hot and on time so I do appreciate that. The loaded top fries were great but the six piece is an odd chicken-to-fry ratio. I think I'd prefer the ten piece and to split it with someone moving forward. Cheese and Dave's sauce combo was a little odd as well. Clean environment and bathroom though and friendly staff! read more

I was excited to try this new chicken joint. There wasn't much of a crowd inside but it is new so the workers are still trying to figure it all out I guess. Plus the manager was constantly grilling them to hurry up with the orders. The vanilla milkshake was delicious but I was not a fan of the dry chicken. read more

So far so good, came in and the place was clean. Yaya chick at the front was funny. I love the art in the place. I did come early on a saturday so the wait time wasn't long to get the food. I had to stop eating to write this review, i'm feeling inspired. DELICIOUS, IMMACULATE, TASTE LIKE HOME. I don't know what the other reviews are talking about I come from LA where I tried dave's chicken and by far this is better than LA something you won't be seeing me say in a review in a while. The slider was immaculate, i hated pickles up until i tried it in the slider today(thank you dave's for making me like pickles now) the fries and chicken crispy you can even hear the crisp. Been going here a couple months now every week! The chicken is quality, the tenders are actually crispy but not over battered at all, the sauces/seasonings are all great and not an entire mess like a lot of places. Paper napkin pettiness! Why buy a franchise, if you don't want to supply your customers with napkins? The last location, I went to had three dispensers on the counter, facing outward to the lobby. This location has one dispenser, facing the staff behind the counter. As we were waiting, a sign was moved in front of the dispenser, so from the lobby you cannot even see that there's a dispenser in the store. They are too close in proximity to a similar business that will quickly say "my pleasure" to anything for them to be acting as if it is an over accommodation to be provided with something to wipe your hands with. What shall I use, my shirt? We ordered two Dave's #1's - one medium and one hot and a side of macaroni and cheese. The staff, was friendly. The chicken, was just as I remembered overly seasoned, but not flavorful. Something in the chicken seasoning, either cumin or saffron .....something leaves a fine/sandy/dusty residue/texture during the chewing experience. The macaroni and cheese was reminiscent of "fourth grade 2nd period lunch" per my 13 year-old daughter and overall just as I remembered it's not something that makes me want to come back for more, unless it's for fries. I do suggest you try it if you have not, so you can make your own assessment, but also bring a roll of paper towels. read more

My wife and I went to this Dave's hot chicken to get a couple chicken sandwiches. The place was new and looked nice. However, it took over 30 minutes to get our sandwiches. The cashier kept blaming the cooks and kept asking them for our meals. The sandwiches were good. There was also undesirables sitting at a nearby table that were disputing with each other and slapping a woman. They seemed to know the workers. I will never go back to this location but hope to visit another location in the future. read more

Well for starters, as soon as you walk into the store, there is a weird off-putting smell that just won't go away.... it's just lingering. 2nd there rush performance needs to get better, waited 20 minutes for one order or the top loaded mac-n-cheese and i specifically said "no spicy buffalo sauce on the food"... after that long wait i got my food and the spicy buffalo sauce was on it.. I thought about sending it back but quickly came to realize i wouldn't have the time to do that because i was on my 1 hour lunch break. i just think that the overall employee management needs to improve in this store to offer better service because this was unacceptable. read more

We placed an order for my office staff today. The order included chicken tenders with fries, loaded fries , some side orders. We ordered online for the store down the street. When my staff arrived to pick up the order, they were told they had no FRIES!! For the most part, all they serve is tenders and fries. They told us they could not refund the order, we would have to go online to do that ourselves. I tried that, and I tried to create an account, but, was unable to because the site stated that this location did not yet exist. So..... we have tenders, no fries, no loaded fries and a couple of sides. Two of the orders of tenders were supposed to be mild. Both staff members were unable to eat more than two bites of the tenders due to the extreme spicy heat. My tenders were not spicy and were edible. I would say that Publix chicken tenders are far superior to what i just tried at Daves. read more
