Ordered sweet & sour chicken and egg rolls, it was awful. I'm not even sure what they put in the egg rolls, it was gooey and the wraps were horrible. Sad, they watered down the sweet & sour sauce, almost flavorless red liquid.

How could this be ranked only a 2.5?!?! I highly recommend their beef lomein & orange chicken! I often find that lomein at other places is not salty enough, taking away the flavor. I've been looking for a new Chinese restaurant, since my last one went under during covid...Well I've found it!!

There ya have it folks! You've been warned.... # 8 Piece Crab Rangoon

Very sorry I didn't check reviews first before ordering Uber Eats from this place. Crab Rangoon were EXACTLY as previous reviews describe. Very little filling. I was trying to take advantage of their Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion. In addition, the Chicken Lo Mein was hot upon arrival but didn't look or taste fresh at all. Needless to say, I was super disappointed. Lesson learned.

I'll give them a (barely) 3. Food should be eaten within the day. Try not to save the food for tomorrow's work lunch because some of the food will get a bit funky. Shrimp fried rice - was still piping hot for a good 20 minutes AFTER I got home. Lots of shrimp. The rice was browned with soy sauce but there was barely any flavor. It was a pretty bland. I saved some for the next day and immediately noticed the drop in quality, and it started smelling a tad funky. It was even blander the second day. Steamed dumplings - 10 small pieces (at least, for me). I thought they were good, especially with the accompanying seasoned soy sauce. Crispy beef - the batter was crispy. However, the beef was quite tough and hard to chew. My jaw was hurting while chewing some of the pieces. The juices that oozed out tasted and felt chalky on my tongue, as though it was batter paste. The sauce tasted good and I liked the crispiness of the beef, but I didn't like the chalky aftertaste or the toughness of the beef. Veggie lo mein - bland. Like the fried rice, this was piping hot for about 20 minutes AFTER I got home. If you get this, I recommend you not keep this in the fridge past day 1. Chicken wings - crispy and alright. I liked them. Chili oil/paste condiment - looks like it was made in house. The aroma was not familiar to me and smelled funky -- a tad fishy. I thought it was like the chili oil at Chinese restaurants, only thicker. Boy was I wrong. Overall, I found their food to be just "meh". The appetizers (wings and dumplings) were better than the entrees. Out of the entrees I had, the crispy beef was the best, despite how hard the beef was, because at least it had flavor and was actually crispy. What surprised me the most about the food I ordered was how much shrimp they put in the fried rice. It was a lot. Lastly, parking sucks balls. It can be tricky to back out of the parking lot and the parking lot is very narrow.

Delivery service is lacking here... they call me before they arrive so I can wait for them outside my apartment building...they used to bring it up to my unit. That's fine if they don't come up anymore, but don't make me come outside and wait for you to arrive when you're driving up the street! Food isn't what it used to be.

Ordered delivery. The food was actually good. I ordered shrimp and broccoli, beef w/oyster sauce, sesame chicken, and beef lo mein. The shrimp in my shrimp and broccoli was full size shrimp. The portions were reasonable. I Only had two small issues hence the 4 stars. My crab Rangoon had little filling and the delivery driver wouldn't bring my food to my hotel room which cost him $10 of his tip. My order was $48 and some change. I had $60 and was leaving the change for a tip. After he called me from in the lobby and told me he wasn't coming up and he called so I could come down I switched out one $20 for a $10 and have him $50 instead. My whole purpose for ordering delivery. If I wanted to leave my room I would've went and picked up my order. Edit* I found out after my husband came in that they won't allow delivery drivers up so I will call the restaurant and let them know if he comes back out I have $10 from him.

We ordered takeout, but there are also places to sit. Food came out within 10 minutes and is a really solid bang for your buck; good taste and really quick. fried rice that comes w the entrees is meh, but honestly everything else was pretty damn good. A little surprised. Nothing special about the looks of the restaurant, but it's definitely one of those "hole-in-the-wall" Chinese places that will satisfy your Chinese food cravings.

Always appreciate the minimalist yet still eloquently-decorated aesthetic of the restaurants, complete with a window to view the kitchen, which itself seemed relatively clean and well-kempt. Ordered the Woodear Mushroom and Mint Salad, and the Mogu Shiitake Mixian Ramen. The mushrooms were light and chewy, yet savory with citric and garlicky elements, and overall very refreshing. The ramen was solid in most respects, with a decent variety of vegetables and multiple proteins, including tofu, shiitakes, soybeans and marinated egg (which I enjoyed despite typically not liking hard-boiled egg too much). The noodles were a little bland, however, and didn't taste like they absorbed much of the broth. Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars are more accurate; YbP Noodle House is a regular haunt for me because the quality is there in most respects.

We've since ordered multiple times, but the quality of the crispy beef has been inconsistent. Sometimes it scores a five, while other times it dips to a three, likely due to different chefs preparing the dish. I noticed this firsthand during my last visit when I picked up my order. Though I was excited to indulge in the crispy beef again, it turned out a bit tougher than usual. No service issues. Restaurant is clean and inviting. I'd love for TNR to refine this dish so it maintains its deliciousness consistently, as I truly enjoy it and will definitely be back for more.

The beef and broccoli was great. Nice fresh slices of beef with the cooked perfectly broccoli and plenty of sauce to drizzle on my white rice. The dumpling were meh. However, my opinion changed when my wife and I dined in the restaurant for the first time. It will not be our last. What drove me to dine in was the ambience I observed when I picked up a previous takeout order. It was a really nice place, with neat décor, plenty of seating, and a serving staff that was obviously attentive. This remained my impression when we came here for the first time recently. Contrary to our takeout orders, the food blew us away when it was fresh from the kitchen. Perhaps this was because we ordered different things, or perhaps because what we ordered to-go (e.g., fried eggplant, Szechuan chicken) did not travel well. Whatever the case, but this was some of the best Chinese food we have eaten in a long time. For appetizers we ordered the puffy scallion pancake, which was fun to tear and share, and came with some very nice curry sauce or dipping. We also ordered the pork soup dumplings, which were everything you could want in a soup dumpling - piping hot with a warm, soul-soothing broth inside (but which does not travel particularly well in takeout orders). For our entrees, my wife ordered the duck fried rice. I am not the biggest fan of fried rice, but this was some of the best I ever had. The duck favor was prominent but not overwhelming and the pineapple was the best integrated I have ever experienced in a savory dish. I had leftover for lunch today and it was still quite good. I ordered the fish in chili oil, a bubbling, soupy dish covered in peppers. This was phenomenal, an excellent balance of heat, numbing, and flavor. And there was plenty of fish in the dish, as well. I will be hard pressed not to order this every time we come here in the future. We split the fried green beans (solid - crisp and well spiced), which I ate for breakfast over rice with some of the leftover fish. Again, it was still good. As my previous comments imply, serving sizes are large.

In person we ordered Mongolian beef, chili fish, cumin lamb, Szechuan chicken, a crispy pork belly dish that I can't remember the exact name, and kids broccoli fried shrimp. These dishes were way too spicy for me, should have heeded the warning when there are 3 chili symbols on the menu: chili fish, szechuan chicken.

The usually dependable Shrimp fried rice was horrible. Not stir fried completely and no wok taste. Just bland like I can cook it at home. Sadly, that will be my last visit to this institution.
