The Enspire is the latest in Yamaha's Disklaviere series, an internet enabled player-piano, so besides being a grand piano, there are some high tech electronic and even some mechanical features that I shy away from attempting to fix, and frankly didn't know if a piano tuner necessarily would have the skills to help me with some issues I found with how the piano sounded when it was playing itself. Mr. Tuner was very pleasant and did a great job tuning my piano. I hadn't tuned my piano for 15 years. I contacted MrTuner in the hopes of reviving our inherited and greatly out of tune upright Wurlitzer piano. Jeff was the first (of many piano tuners I reached out to) that responded, and he was able to come service our piano the very next day. I am so lucky and thankful that he was the one who came. Twice before, other tuners had told me that it was unlikely that the piano would ever play the correct notes, and one tuner told me to not waste any more time with our grandparents piano - that we should just buy a new one. Jeff on the other hand, knew just what to do. After asking us a few questions to assess our goals and needs for the piano, it was decided that we would do a pitch raise. Now, the piano that used to sound B when a C was played, makes all the correct notes! I am shocked that just one day earlier, I was considering replacing the piano as I was told that it was beyond repair. The cost of the pitch raise was extremely affordable (especially in light of the alternative of purchasing a new instrument), and Jeff and I came up with a maintenance plan to keep the piano in tune moving forward. Mr. Tuner was amazing. Taught me a lot about my piano from being made in the 50's. work that was done prior by previous owner and why it was done. Found out had a better made piano due to the use of walnut. Showed me the inside workings and what all need to be done to get it in working order. What he did worked. Jeff is amazing!!! I have a 90 year old Mason & Hamlin Baby Grand. It had lost it's incredible sensitivity in the keystrokes. The bass was loud, the treble had so little sound, I was having to work hard to play it. I was afraid to have just anyone work on it, because it's a rare and wonderful old piano, made when pianos were made by true artisans. He took the action and worked on all the hammer heads for quite a while, and readjusted everything. It came back SO MUCH BETTER. There are not many "tuners" who are true piano technologists, but he is. All of the expression I remember from playing it as a young person is now back. I don't have to pound on any keys ever again. The melody simply sings out now with very little effort. I highly recommend him. read more
