These two wonderful ladies are my go-to ladies when it comes to getting my eyebrows threaded! I have never been disappointed, not once. They are very flexible with timing, you just have to communicate with them ahead of time.(Which i always do) i know how busy they can get, especially on weekends. I have been coming to them since I was the age of 13/14 and I'm now 21! So that says a lot. It is worth giving them a shot! Best eyebrow threading in the DMV. I moved to Maryland and still made it a point to visit Masooda and Fatima for my eyebrows in Virginia. I trust both Masooda and Fatima with my eyebrows. They have kept my eyebrows thick and consistent for the past few years I have used them. I started using them back when they used to work at Sonia's and now I'm thankful they have their own salon in Salon Plaza sterling. It's helpful to make an appointment prior to coming since they are always busy with customers. I've never had any trouble getting in to see Fatima or Masooda. They are always very responsive over text which makes it easy to schedule. I read one of the negative reviews stating that only their family members write positive reviews. I usually drive an hour to get my eyebrows done especially because the person who usually does them never fails. However, I was unable to get an appointment with my usual person and found M's studio on Yelp. Called for a same day appointment and I was able to get in! It was only 20 minutes away from home. Ok I just moved to VA and I am SUPER picky about everything. From eyebrows, to wax, nails. You know how it is when you have to start over. Anywho, I love Masooda. Whether I tell her what I want or let her do her thing (as far as eyebrow threading) I've left a happy customer every time. She's super sweet and good at what she does. She even compliments the flaws that I see in my eyebrows. :) I just read a review below out of curiosity. What exactly happened to give 1 star? was she missing an eyebrow or something?? She brought in a picture. A picture of someone who uses makeup to shape their eyebrows and aside from that it's a picture of someone else's eyebrows PERIOD. Everyone's eyebrows are different. I was referred to Masooda and Fatima through Yelp. I started going to see the mother/daughter duo in order to prepare my eyebrows for my wedding. From November to May, there has been a SIGNIFICANT difference in my eyebrows! When my family members saw how fantastic my eyebrows were, they wanted to make appointments the week of the wedding to shape theirs up as well. Masooda and Fatima did an awesome job of reshaping my eyebrows and creating that arch that I've always wanted. I'm not into thin eyebrows and they took the time to educate me on what I can and cannot do in order to achieve the eyebrows that I was aiming for. Prices were very reasonable compared to other threading facilities in the area. I am now out of the area, but will be back to visit my family. They really do good job here . They dont butcher your eyebrows . My only thing is Mariam made mine like uneven. One was higher than the other. When I told her that she didnt listen. I like her but she can be lil pushy. If you dont go to her for few weeks she interrogated you. Asides from that if Mariam listened lil more and made me more comfy I would be happy . Over time, she helped me not only to get the shape and thickness I wanted, but she also taught me how to groom and draw them so they look natural and healthy. I always get compliments on my brows. Hands down the best brow threading/shaping and the best customer service. I have been seeing Fatima every two weeks for the past three years. She does an amazing job and goes out of her way to accommodate me. I went in to her for the first time with really thick shapeless brows and she truly shaped them based on what I like. I have been able to get in at any time I wanted without an issue. The service it self is not painful at all and Fatima is very quick yet precise so you are able to get in and out quickly. The shop itself is really clean and Fatima follows proper hygenic and safety measures on clients. My skin is extremely sensitive and she goes out of her way to wipe my skin with anti-bacterial lotions before and after the service. Lastly, visiting her for a service is always a pleasant experience since she is a very smart and hard working woman and I always get inspired from her stories. If I could give these ladies 6 or 7 stars, I would. As the reviewer below did, I started going to Masooda and her sister, Miriam, when they worked in Herndon. 4 years later, I am still a total addict. When she moved, Miriam was replaced by Masooda's capable daughter, Fatima, who was trained by her aunt and mother. These ladies took my eyebrows from emaciated caterpillar-like things that hovered erratically above my eyes to shapely brows that get me compliments from strangers on the street. Seriously. Single-handedly, they changed my entire face-- from these powerhouses of beauty, I've gotten tips on how to re-grow eyebrows, how to draw-in sparse areas and blend them ("EVERYONE draws their brows in. The key is blending!" Masooda told me just last month.), and expert reshaping. They're so good that I used to drive 2.5 hours to see them when I was in college; I mean, I saw my parents as well, but I was really coming for Masooda, Miriam, and now Fatima! They listen to what I want, make recommendations, and I am always happy with the result. I take my friends to these ladies whenever they visit. Cost is $18 for getting my eyebrows and upper lip threaded, $13 for brows alone, and less than $40 for my full face, which I did before my wedding and a few times since (painful, but completely worth it as it is a skin exfoliation as well as hair removal!)-- they accept cash or credit cards. I usually call for appointments, but they get walk-ins done quickly as well. I trust no one else. I have been seeing Massouda for years now. Her and her twin sister used to work at Sonia's Jewelry in Herndon. Anyone that gets their eyebrows threaded knows them. I stopped going to Sonia's for a couple of months because it was just too hectic. The lines were extremely long and it just got too stressful. They had the majority of the business at Sonia's. I was so happy to see Massouda and her daughter got their own place! They are located in Sterling in the Glory Days shopping center tons of parking zero hassle! it was so easy to get an appointment with them and Massouda took her time with my eyebrows like always. The best eyebrow ladies in the entire Northern Virginia area! I have been going to them for years. They never disappoint me and are so kind. It's best to call them in advance and make an appointment- it saves a lot of time. I started off by going to Mariam when they were at Sonia because it was 5 minutes from my home. They have their own salon in Sterling now which is not too far from Herndon. Even though I will be moving to Haymarket after I get married, I will still drive all the way over here for my eyebrows!
