We purchased a home on a large property a couple of years ago that had neglected or no landscaping around our pool area, patios and in front of the house. I can't rave enough about this company! They listened to my vision and executed it beautifully. Danny came over after I had fired another company for their complete incompetence. He has a great attitude and understood exactly what I was envisioning. I needed an attractive yet unobtrusive fence to keep my puppy from going down to the canyon. I also needed stairs that were "natural looking" and a mow curb to keep my pebbles contained. Raul is the project manager. Everyone should be as attentive and efficient as he is. He showed up frequently (almost every day) and on time. His attitude was to do whatever was needed to make me happy. He had terrific workmen and really made sure my dream became my reality. Project exceeded our expectations, came in on time, capturing every possible element with our very defined budget and now we have an awesome space that we want to be in constantly!!! In San Diego, that's just about all year long.. We kicked off our backyard reno with a 2-phase concept for a nice backyard to enjoy, especially now since family gathering in small numbers outdoors is about the safest you can get and still keep the social connections going in person. We had a vision for our project, and Danny- the lead architect on the job took our vision and enhanced it with his knowledge and expertise and helped guide us into making wise decisions that will be long lasting. With phase 1 complete, I couldn't not share with others the results that we've been enjoying immensely. We started with a fire pit with seating and a dog run, shade, and new hillside plantings. Part way through the project we realized that the BBQ/bartop was also within reach of budget and our project completion window and Danny and his crew listened and adjusted to our needs and worked their butts off every day and delivered an exceptionally tasteful, modern, and highly functional backyard entertainers space. We can do so much with it now and it's only a 20' x 45' space. There were little details that Danny made happen along the way that made life easier for us as one of our asks was a low maintenance space. Danny's knowledge of the plants and what would work well is impressive. In the not too distant future, our hillside will be blooming with colors and textures that will definitely be a wow factor. FABULOUS YARD RENOVATION! I have worked with different landscape companies for over 25 years, and I must say that I am very impressed with the work that MSE Landscape did on our front yard renovation. From the very beginning of the process, Jesse worked closely with us to get an understanding for what we were looking to achieve, and then provided us with a design that exceeded our expectation and came in well within our budget. Our renovation included complete removal of our front lawn and various side yard overgrown/dying plants, and replacement with innovative drought-tolerant grass called UC Verde for our lawn (used about 75% less water!) and succulent seascape-themed plants with decorative gravel for our side yard. Following the installation, MSE continued to come to our property regularly during the plant establishment period to maintain the new plant material, perform weekly weeding as the new lawn filled in, adjust irrigation as needed, and even replaced some plants without having to be asked when they noticed that the nearby rabbits ate at the roots. Throughout the entire process, Jesse and MSE had wonderful communication and follow- through from start to finish, and our yard is beautiful now as a result. MSE was worth every penny that we paid for our yard renovation, and we are beyond grateful that we chose them for our home landscape project! read more
