Lovely guys. Great value for money. Very lucky to have these guys so close to us. They can get busy so as long as you can be patient then this a great place to have your lawn mower or bike serviced. Last week I took my mountain bike in for a quote on getting the gear cable replaced and refitted, the staff at the time quoted me $25. On tuesday I took my mountain bike in to have the torned gear cable replaced and refitted. The owner provided me a new quote of $33. I advised him of the previous quote agreement that was provided to me but unfortunately he refused to honour it. I went along with the repair job anyway. I then was set with the expectation by the owner that it 'shouldn't take' long for the repair job to be completed. Today (Three days later) I went back to check for progress as I had not received any communication from them despite me providing them with my mobile number. Unfortunately it appears that the repairs had not even begun yet... The owner advises it would be completed within an hour time which thankfully he honoured his words this time around. When it was time for payment I politely asked the owner why it took so long for the repair to be completed, his reponse was 'there is a queue'. I didn't even get a thank you or an apology. I think I was the one who thanked him. He did do a pretty good decent job on the repairs though. He also allowed me to use their air pump to inflat my tyres free of charge which is nice I guess. Just some constructive feedback for the business: 1. It would had been nice to show some empathy towards your customers. 2. It would of been nice if you do honour a reasonable quote set by your staff previously even if you believe the quote provided to me were incorrect. It's not the customer's fault that they were misquoted. 3. Communication: Keep the customer in the loop of the progress especially if the job has to be delayed if the expectation you previously set cannot be met. 4. Apologise to your customers for unexpected delays. It's not hard to say sorry and a thank you. Your customers would appreciate you more and give you more respect. 5. Improve your customer service skills would be good. People who actually have a good experience with you would most likely come back for returned business. Um best to stay away from these cowboys. I was sent there by Briggs and Stratton NZ Ltd as one of their authorised repairers. Dropped off my water blaster which had partially stopped working. They took my number and said they'd call when fixed. 2 weeks later i enquire..no not back yet. Back from where i wondered. 2 more weeks pass and i drop by again to check. OH I'll follow it up says the person there. Sort of frustrated now but life is short so stayed patient. But now I go back yesterday ( 6 weeks since leaving it there) to see how it is going. I then look around and see my water blaster sitting under someones else's lawn mower catcher..Yep not repaired. Has not moved from the spot when i dropped it off. I point out my water blaster is still sitting there , never even moved and he says, "Oh yeah its just not satisfying working on these" ..so i have not bothered ( this is absolutely true..I know, hard to believe but it's true 100%) Like , what the , when was he going to call me to say oh we do not want to repair your water blaster that we are the authorised agent for and since when was my water blaster supposed to be his "satisfaction". Drink some good wine or go on holiday and crack a superb craft beer, have an icecream, sing a song, dance in the street for satisfaction. Stay away folks...Briggs and Stratton also lost a customer . Great place for bike advice and fixing. Yes it might not be done immediately but it's a busylace and only a few staff. Much better than all those chain bike stores where you have to book it in a week in advance to be told even what's wrong then rounded up to the nearest $100. Rob's a diamond. read more
