It was more of an undone type of avocado toast with seasonings, poached eggs, tomatoes, and some sort of tangy butter or aioli, I'm not sure. It was just so pleasing to the eye and tasty! I did have much more avocado left, so I wished it had a bit more bread but it was still a good amount of food. I would recommend, it seemed to be a busy place with a few tables inside and some outside seating. Also a great spot on regent street next to other shops.

One of the few places that actually made it on Yelp and had a review so we decided to stop by and give it a try. After all, who can say no to Eggs Benedict in this country?! I can't even count how many times I've had Eggs Benedict on this trip to the South Island and I'm only here for a week - it is amazing how good they are at poaching their eggs here!!! Major eggporn moments every. single. time. We opted in for the Salmon Eggs Benedict and it was literally the best one I've ever had. The bread had the perfect amount of crunch to it. The salmon was fresh and meaty. The sauce tasted light and didn't over power the dish itself. The eggs...oh the eggs, I have no words for them. They were absolutely perfect in every ways (can you tell that I'm obsessed with these damn perfectly done poached eggs?!). We also got the Mango Peach and Passionfruit Crepes and my oh my, it definitely did not disappoint. The crepe skins were soft and chewy with a light amount of powdered sugar on top. The toppings were zesty and sweet. The syrup wasn't too sweet and the whipped creme just added just the right amount of creaminess to it all. It was quite a wonderful experience to say the least. This meal made me not want to leave the country..ever. I cannot wait to come back here!!!! -Provides both indoor and outdoor seatings -Accepts credit cards -Free water in a cute little vintage fridge -Clean toilets -Plenty of take away items -Lots of parking spaces -Friendly Kiwis

There was only 1 couple there and 1 worker who was also the chef and owner. I asked him what he recommended and he suggested the classic caesar salad. My friend had the salmon eggs benedict and I also ordered the date scone and coffee. It ended up being the best meal we had in New Zealand! Everything was so fresh and made from scratch. Another couple came in after us and since he was the only one there, we had to wait for our food for awhile while he took their order. Good thing I ordered the scone since that just needed to me warmed and was presented to us fairly quickly. OMG, the best scone I've ever had. I can't even give it a proper description. It was kinda fluffy but rich. The clotted cream and raspberry jam paired perfectly with it. I usually don't like raspberry but sigh, it was sooo perfect with it. The caesar salad had dry cured bacon, a poached free range egg, focaccia croutons and shaved parmesan. I've never had caesar salad with bacon but it was perfect. Breaking open the soft poached egg and mixing it up with the focaccia croutons, it was pure bliss. My friend's salmon egg benedict with spinach was also sublime. He said it was the best he's ever had. As we were driving away, we saw the little garden he had next to the cafe. No wonder the salad greens tasted so fresh. Not a wilted green in sight.
