This daycare crossed multiple legal and ethical lines. Without my knowledge or consent, they gave…read moremy 3-year-old an illegal (the owners words) assessment and used it to suggest she had special needs/a disability by telling me to take her to the dr, just months after saying she was ahead of her learning goals. In our final meeting, when I asked what my daughter does well, the director looked me in the eye and said nothing in front of my child. The only reason I didn't completely lose it in that moment is because my older child had died just four months earlier and I was barely holding it together. For the owner not to consider how such a cruel comment could impact a grieving mother and a 3-year-old who just lost her brother is beyond heartless, it's sociopathic. (Not to mention that due to this, myself and my daughter were already regularly seeing a psychologist who is qualified to make this assessment and almost laughed uncontrollably when told her what the owner had said because it had no basis.) I also witnessed microaggressions, inconsistent treatment, high staff turnover, and teachers speaking inappropriately to children instead of parents. For example, I recall a child being dropped off with breakfast and it was apparently past breakfast time. The teacher said nothing to the parent, but as soon as the parent left, chastised the child. This type of passive aggressive behavior is not acceptable towards a child. Educationally, my daughter was bored, unchallenged, and learning nothing despite the $1,600/month tuition. I have since moved her to a private school that costs less, has stronger academics, all certified teachers, less turnover of staff, and a 100 on all state site visits for consecutive years. She is now thriving, reading at a 2nd grade level and doing 1st grade math at age four. The truth is, she was advanced, and instead of admitting they couldn't support her, this daycare tried to make us the problem. Their fake reviews only reinforce the lack of integrity. Nothing says "I love working with children" like giving parents a discount for a positive review and having staff leave reviews. And I've attached a screenshot of the owner's review in case they try to say this isn't true. If your reputation has to be propped up by you leaving reviews for yourself, that says a lot about your business. Parents, you can get much better care at a better rate somewhere else.

My husband and I walked out literally saying "what the F? Was that?!" About this location. Choose another place because this one is such a mess that it needs a severe management and ownership change. I would be scared for the people who have their kids here because they don't even understand basic common sense.

My child has been attending the school for a year now and i have seen a lot of change. The concern is the director , I have notice she doesn't interact with the parents nor does she interact with the kids. i watch the cameras and not one time have i seen her in the classroom interacting with the children and that's not good at all. She is new and as a parent i want to trust the fact my child is be loved by all not just a few . It starts at the top. When i drop off in the morning she is sitting at the desk no hello or good morning to parents or kids. when i pick up still she is in the same spot . no goodbyes to parents or the kids. This is not good she has been there long enough now to know families but she will never know them if she does not interact with them!!!!

The assistant director was amazing. She thoroughly explained the school learning curriculum and everything that I needed to know. I love the way the classes are set up and they have everything you need to know outside each classrooms. Safety is a big concern as well. I love that you must enter a code to enter in the building before even reaching the inside of school. I recently moved and I loved my previous daycare but the distance was an issue. However, looking for a new school that was comparable this was the perfect match. I am not that parent that will drop my child off at any school just because the price, because its around the corner from home or I'm rushing to put my child somewhere asap. I'm willing to pay to put him in a quality school. First impressions are everything and this school has me willing to start him today if I could. I'm excited for his first day of school here and to see how he progress through out the year.

We signed up for a family acct. One our first visit, we used the pool. The lifeguard informed me…read morethat our children had to take a swim test is they either (1. wanted to swim without an adult/parent in the water with them) or (2. wanted to be allowed to swim outside the arms length of the parent/adult). I was in the water with my 8 & 11 year old children because I feel like it is the responsible thing to do when you take your children to a pool regardless of their swim capabilities. I allow my 11 year to attempt the test for fun. The lifeguard wanted them to swim the length of the pool which my children can do. However, the lifeguard would not pass my child because the swim stroke was not perfect. I have personally been a lifeguard, swim instructor, and swim team coach for over 20 years. My children know their strokes but I have not forced them to be on teams or swim long distance. Do I want them to, yes. But I have not forced it. My children have good strokes for more than half the pool distance but get tired toward the end and get sloppy but are not in danger. The strokes just don't look as nice as they did. Our children visit our neighborhood pool just about everyday in the summer and swim unassisted with no issues. It is winter and perhaps the kids are a little out of practice in the 4-5 months since it has been warm enough to attend the neighborhood pool but again, not in danger and swim fine. But not competitive swimmers. We were told that my daughter did not pass the test even though she could swim unassisted the length of the pool. So we just tried to enjoy our time in the pool and planned to try again another day. However, then the lifeguard reprimanded me multiple times because my 8 and 11 year old swimming children were outside of an arms length of distance from me. Again they swim on their own, and I am in the water with them if they need me. The swim test expectations are too high and I now understand why there were no other families there on a Saturday afternoon. The swim test expectations are too high and the lifeguards to strict on their arms length rule for families to enjoy this pool. Again, I have been a lifeguard, instructor, and swim coach for 20 years so I have a solid base of knowledge with which to make this assertion. I attempted to connect with YMCA on this via email. My email was forwarded to the Aquatics Director and I have not received any response. We are planning to cancel this membership as our children cannot go and enjoy the pool because the rules are too strict and I understand this industry better than most. With rules this strict, the lifeguard is really a waste of money as they basically don't allow children in the pool and only adults may swim. I would still love a response but If I do not get one, we will continue with cancelation. Good luck if you have children and planned to use this pool.
