We send in our schedule for the season to the company and within a week of traveling, we send an itinerary for what the traveling day will look like! Our most recent trip with Coastal Limo was for conference tournament. Our scheduled day was Thursday - Sunday. We had our driver for the time being but then was switched last minute! Our new driver was Mr. Al! Upon arrival, Mr. Al was informed that the schedule would fluctuate due to weather and outcomes of games! He had no issue with being super available and flexible for us! The first day of the tournament was canceled due to inclement weather which caused an additional day to our stay and Mr. Al was on standby for us most of the day. He was excited, patient and happy to do what was asked! He would take us to all the places and help with load/unload the bus. He encouraged our players and ensured we would come out the tournaments as winners! He would come watch the games and celebrate the smalls wins with us! We ended us winning the conference tournament and we want to thank Mr. Al for being our driver! He helped our trip go smoothly and his encouragement was very much felt! I also noticed a $1.00 authorization charge on my American Express card to verify the payment method. Everything appeared confirmed and in order. At 10:00 p.m. Saturday night, I emailed to verify that they had my cell phone number. Instead of a simple confirmation, I received a phone call at 11:55 p.m. informing me that my reservation had been canceled earlier in the week. The problem: nobody ever notified me. No email. No phone call. No voicemail. They simply canceled the reservation internally while leaving me with a confirmation number and every reason to believe I had transportation scheduled. With only five hours until pickup time, it was impossible to secure another car service, and Uber availability at my location was extremely limited that early in the morning. As a result, I missed my flight, missed a Mother's Day family dinner, and had to pay $340 to rebook my ticket. When I called the company the next business day seeking an explanation, I was transferred between three different people and ultimately never received a return call or email. Mistakes happen. Failing to notify a customer that you've canceled a confirmed reservation, especially for an airport pickup, is unacceptable. Failing to follow up afterward is even worse. I would never trust this company for transportation where timing matters.

I told them I didn't want two different kinds of buses b/c that wasn't what we paid for, but they refused to return the $950 deposit for the one vintage bus that wasn't having mechanical issues. We are going with a different company to have two matching trolleys, and LCV refuses to give us a refund despite the fact that they aren't giving us what we paid for. Horrible customer service.

Planning was extremely easy with these guys, they were reliable and not only on-time but early! Of course, that didn't mean they were eager to leave ahead of time, it was all for the sake of preparedness. Alice, driven by Darvin, was magical. We experienced roads we've been on hundreds of times for the first time riding in her backseat. Darvin drove carefully and comfortably from John's Island to Downtown Charleston- about 45 minutes. The whole time we were enchanted by the starry sky, the breeze through our hair, and the era-appropriate jazz music playing through the radio. It truly was a cherry on top one of the greatest days of my life, and writing this review is the least I can do to remember it. While I didn't ride in the shuttle myself, it stuck out to me as unique and many of the guests appreciated both its convenience and the way it set the mood for the evening for our guests, allowing them to also meet one another before the event. Can't say enough good things about our experience with LowCountry Valet. Really hope we can find some reason to use their service again soon!

DASH is a free public bus service operated by CARTA to many of Charleston's attractions. There are…read morethree different DASH bus routes that operate daily with frequent service on the 210 and 211, with buses running every 15 minutes for most of the day. The 213 is less frequent, running about every 45 minutes. While I stayed in the heart of Charleston, I was only able to use it once on my trip as I preferred to walk around most of the time since the city is very walkable. Also, DASH does not operate south of Broad Street, so it is not that convenient if you are trying to visit The Battery. I will say the buses are too big to operate on those narrow streets, anyway. Still, it is nice to know that this bus service is available, particularly on hot sunny days or when you do not feel like walking too far.

After 10 miles into the drive, realizing that the driver took the long way around 526 to get to my hotel on Wingo Way in Mount Pleasant (instead of I-26 down and over Ravenal Bridge), the driver was going to turn left instead of right onto State Road 17. I questioned why the driver was turning left when the hotel was in the other direction. Driver made an illegal right turn from the left lane. I was sitting on my hands with fingers crossed hoping the police were not nearby....not because of fear, but i really had to go to the bathroom after the long flight. Lack of Safety. The meter ran up to over $50.00....when most standard rates to/from airport are $35, even when calculating the $2.50 x 13 miles on google from airport to my hotel. And....the driver was using a gps app. So not sure why the driver got lost and was very confused about directions. But driver assured me that i would only pay $35. The first thing that popped into my head is that this was similar to the restaurant over charging scenario where the waitron says...sorry I overcharged but I will take it off...and hope I leave a big tip. If the driver were safe and expedient, in addition to getting me to my destination I would have left a tip. I hope the driver is on better directions with other passengers.
