I was a student of Mt. San Antonio College (SAC) located in the City of Walnut many many blue moons ago. I attended it right after high school to complete my General Education (GE) courses. I remember it being a very good community college. Teachers were fantastic. Parking is ample. There is a nice plaza across the street from this college. Most recently, I was at the Mid Autumn Festival held at the parking lot of Mt. SAC. It was a really fun and interesting event. Thanks Mt. SAC for hosting the event. I didn't get a chance to walk on the grounds of the college so not sure how much it may have changed... probably not too much... maybe just added buildings. I am sure some things have changed over the course of 30+ years. But it was nice to reminisce the good old days in my thoughts. Thank you!

    Mt. Sac

My son's first day, he is excited, I'm a little nervous it has been 20 years since my husband and I both graduated from university. Now, there are so many different apps which are so helpful, but process is different of course, overwhelming. However, we are very thankful for the help counselor Hernandez L. and Heather P. From Tech Center offered us. They both have been so helpful and answered all of our questions. We truly had a great experience! They are beautiful people inside and out. BUT, I am only giving Mt. Sac 4 stars, only because we did encountered someone being insensitive to my son. He was a student worker from the information desk. He was very rude to my son, instead of helping and making him at ease, he laughed at my son who was asking for help, not knowing that I was just a few steps away. I brought it up to school of Dean right and then, they did say he would be talked to, I suggested a sensitivity class and I want to believe they will handle it. But as stated before working with Ms. Hernandez and Heather P. Is the only reason why I'm giving MT. Sac 4 stars.

    Congrats

Really guys you charge for parking but on an event night over an hour to exit. Congratulations you have officially defeated Dodger stadium for the worst parking in sports history.

    Nachos from concession stand

Nachos had barely any cheese at all. Gatorade was room temp. I'm confused how such a nice complex can't afford to put more nacho cheese and have shaded seating for dive. Music is nice sounds like a club! A drink would be nice to complement the club music!!

The parking here is absolutely fucking RIDICULOUS. Why is it that there are always a bunch of empty staff parking spots, while us students have to circle the lots MULTIPLE times to find a spot, sometimes not even being able to find one. I had to miss my first day of class today because of this bullshit. I must have circled the entire A and H lots over 10 times, not once finding a spot. People have been complaining about this for YEARS. Staff do not need nearly as much parking as they are given. Us students need it. Do better.

Our first time on this campus was to attend a state cross country event. High schools, mostly from all over California, were there that weekend. It's considered the largest annual cross country venue in the world! While it managed to crowd control well by spreading the heats over the weekend, they overlooked the most obvious part of their campus for spectators to enjoy the running: use of the empty track and seating area. Come on! Parking cost was $10 in the lot but if you go on the weekend, street parking is cheaper - even meter parking will be less costly.

Great school! It has many resources and many opportunities. The campus is pretty big. Teachers and employees are always very helpful. Seats and tables are always dirty. The food sold on campus is not so good. Go across the street for your lunch.

Ask the Community - Mt San Antonio College

Does anyone know what to do if your term doesn't show up after you claim your account? I went to 8. Registration Appointment/ Hold and it doesn't shown the term Fall 2018

It's probably too early to register for the Fall 2018 semester. Try calling the counseling center to make an appointment with a counselor on campus to sort out your registration problems.

Has anyone completed the phlebotomy course here and would you recommend it? Thank you in advance :)

No! I did not complete the phlebotomy class, but I have a friend that did and she recommends it. Great school!

She told me I needed to go there in person and ask for their "permission" to get a refund when I pick it up and asked why I wanted a refund. I don't think they understand that I am NOT picking up the book because I do not need it. Customers should be able to to process refunds via email or over the phone, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

However one lady (looked to be the manager) seemed to be not quite up to par - she told my friend there are no returns on a lab manual that I also purchased, but my cashier told me nothing of the sort. They also don't check prices for you on the books over the phone. Which means they should then list it online, but they don't do that either. Really a hassle when I want to compare prices real quick without having to run over there. Overall it is an ok store and is definitely a less hostile environment than Day and Nite.

Why I preferred this school and encourage you to start your English journey here, because of these reasons. 1- The number of students in each class is small. it is between 3 - 7 students. You will feel like you are with a private tutor. You have plenty of time to ask questions and participate to improve your speaking skills. 2- If you plan to take IELTS or TOEFL, this is the right program. The materials they use are from the company "publisher" who write these exams. So, they hit two birds with one stone. You will learn English and prepare for the exam. 3- The staff are amazingly helpful and understand any issue the students have. Also, they always surprise us with wonderful activities and contests. They have four awesome staff each of them welcomes us with a huge smile and a wonderful attitude. They are Kimberley Wong, Marcie, Celia, Amy. I know for sure that if I had not joined 3 years ago, my full potential would not have been properly written out in my essays. The extra materials I asked for proved helpful for my SAT prep, AP test scores, and even my usual school assignments. My HS2 counselor was extremely supportive and a great guide. When I was at my lowest during quarantine, she didn't make me feel worse for my bad performance. She supported me throughout the experience, and I was able to recover my grades and mental health. All of my questions were answered, and many helpful suggestions were provided. She helped me explore my options, as well as what would be the best fit for me! Many opportunities were opened up to me--some were provided by HS2 directly (such as college courses over the summer, or community service programs) while others were suggested. I would have never thought of asking my neighbors who owned a beauty clinic to ask for a summer internship, or to start my own custom-painted bookmark non-profit. These were all valuable learning experiences for me, and provided the content I needed to paint my personality through my essays. Manager Helen graciously offered to help edit my financial aid appeal to my dream school, which I was accepted into. Without the appeal, I would not have had a chance to even think of attending it due to the financial barrier. Overall, I'm very thankful to have gotten this chance to have HS2's support throughout my high school career, and I look forward to attending my dream college :)

The Montessori method of teaching really helped my kid develop into her own. She was encouraged and challenged and is now ready to enter 1st grade confidently, ready to make mistakes and learn from them, thanks to the teachers and staff at MOW. We've been driving from Chino to Walnut, which is in the opposite direction of work just because the preschool and kindergarten experience has be well worth it. The extracurricular classes (for an additional fee) at the school makes it convenient for us as parents to have her exposed to Spanish, Keyboard, Sports and of course the dance classes that she gets to boogie down to. During the summer, she gets swimming classes on campus which is so convenient! The pool is gated and classes are limited to 2-3 students per session. The director of the school, Ms Lauren is incredibly sweet and down to earth. Her genuine care for her students truly emanates from her. Truly can't thank the entire staff at Montessori of Walnut for all of the support and growth of our big kid.

Looking back, I only wish it had been the first because it would have saved us so much time. The moment we walked in, we knew it was different. We've now been bringing our kids here for about two years. Our daughter started when she was just 1 1/2 years old, and when our son reached the same age, there was no question where he would be going. The teachers and staff are incredibly professional, caring, and respectful. It's obvious they genuinely care about each child and create a warm, welcoming environment every day. The facility is always spotless, well organized, and you can tell they take great pride in maintaining a safe and clean space for the kids. One thing that really sets Montessori of Walnut apart is everything they offer beyond the classroom. They have on-campus swimming with a certified instructor who also offers private lessons, fun themed events throughout the year, guest speakers, and so many engaging extracurricular activities that keep the children excited and learning in new ways. Most importantly, our kids absolutely love going to school every morning. They've learned so much over the past two years, and it's been amazing to watch their confidence and independence grow. The teachers are currently helping our oldest with potty training, and they've been incredibly patient, supportive, and consistent throughout the process. Another thing we appreciate is the location. It's tucked away from busy streets and public traffic, which gives it a quiet, safe, and peaceful feel that's perfect for young children. Choosing a preschool is a big decision for any parent, and we're so thankful we found Montessori of Walnut. If you're looking for a clean, caring, and enriching Montessori program with an outstanding staff, I highly recommend giving them a tour. We couldn't be happier with our experience.
