The reason I'm writing this review about my very personal experience with the Redding DMV this…read moremorning is in hopes of helping them understand how some of their policies harm people like myself with disabilities. In spite of having experienced homelessness over the past year and having had extreme difficulties with obtaining my mail, I was able to get my hands on my DMV registration renewal notice. My renewal is due by April 26th. I wasn't able to get to my mailbox to get the paperwork until last week, because I was volunteering in Yosemite and was also hospitalized for some time in Fresno. I have to be in Oregon by the 28th for a different volunteer job. I thought that two weeks was still plenty of time to get it all taken care of. I had my car smogged in Folsom, and renewed my insurance in Burney. I purposely timed my travels so that I would be in Shasta when their DMV office opened on Thursday. They said they couldn't help me at all, but Redding could. So I backtracked over an hour to get back to Redding, where I was told, we can't do that in the office, you have to do it by mail. I almost started crying as I explained that I will lose my job if I'm not there by the 28th because of having to go back to Sacramento and wait for whenever the hell my sticker comes in the mail, and that this would also cause me to be homeless. So, if I wasn't able to obtain my sticker today, this would literally come at the cost of tax payers paying for me to live in the Sacramento homeless tiny home community and not even be able to think about applying for other jobs or move anywhere else until I could coordinate a ride to Orangevale to get my vehicle registration sticker from my PO box. And then who knows if I would even get another job-- it took months to line this one up. So they told me to go across town to this kiosk at Foodmaxx, which I did. But first, I explained that I have a disability and that I have low cost insurance. When I told the clerk that I have a disability and low cost insurance, he should have immediately escalated me to a manager. What he did instead was harm me by sending me on a fruitless wild goose chase which resulted in further loss of time and public humiliation... So I drove to this kiosk and waited again. It was in a shady part of town with no parking lot security. I paid my fees and was given a receipt that said my sticker would be mailed to my mailing address in Sacramento. I never cry. But I started crying right then and there. I cried all the way back to the DMV. I cried while I waited in line again, asked to talk to a manager or someone who could help me, and cried while I waited for them to call my number. People were laughing at me crying. I have a disability which makes it hard for me to regulate my emotions. What happens in a situation like this is my prefrontal cortex is actually not working correctly, it's actually shutting down because of PTSD but I guess to a lot of people, I look like a Karen and seeing me cry is like a wildly joyous and entertaining experience. So people are laughing at me and I'm crying as the manager explains that even though I have my receipt, the payment hasn't processed on her end and so the only way for me to get a sticker today is to actually pay my fee again. It would have cost me more than $200 to lose my summer job and go be homeless in Sacramento, which I would have to do if I was not able to get my sticker today. So I paid my fees again. There are a lot of people in this world with all kinds of disabilities that make it hard to pay fees online, by mail, or by phone. I drove literally hundreds of miles out of my way and was still given the run around. I'm very confident that this is going to result in civil rights suits against the DMV. This caused me so much distress for literally no reason. They had the sticker and were able to help me the whole time. One of the clerks came up to me and said, "I know it feels like you're getting the run around, but please scan this code and write a review to let our higher ups know how this is affecting you because they are the ones who are making us abide by these policies." But I disagree, if you know a client is disabled you should have made an exception in the first place, it's not okay to do something harmful because your boss who pays you a few cents more than minimum wage told you to.

Protect and serve is a joke up here, so do what you want the semi drivers even know that and go like 70 through here and every time you do see one cars will be in front of me going 90 and the CHP, straight up will be looking at his lap I noticed this countless times especially the Latina officer that's down by Dunsmuir she never looks up might be sleeping. If they actually enforce the construction zone I work on the freeway they never help cars going 50 in construction zones would be nice but like I said they don't do their job and cars flyby us at 70 sometimes 90.

Also, my utilities are electronic and they wouldn't even look at my phone, as if I couldn't photoshop an invoice that's printed. Wouldn't verify my WA plate for my vehicle - which can be done online in about 30 seconds with the VIN. REALLY need to get with the current century of technology. It's easy to scam showing a piece of paper - electronic proof from a government agency is certainly more secure.

They got me over to their site and it doesn't work either, instead you get to converse with a "Virtual Data Assistant" that ultimately won't help you at all. They don't want to fix the problems, they do want to hold you off. It used to be much faster, but since the computerized ticket system came on line, waiting times have gone through the roof. They really don't give a hoot, and they make providing constructive critic impossible.

An original town in Shasta County…read more This historic park houses the remains of Shasta City, once alive and bustling during the Gold Rush days, and now a ghost town with restored stagecoach, barn and courthouse. Due to Covid-19 the museum is temporarily closed but we stopped and walked among the Southside Ruins, strolling and stopping to read the markers and interpretive signs at the brick ruins, imagining for a moment what it was like in 1849. The authentic brick buildings have crumbled and are the decayed remnants of a once thriving gold rush shopping district. Across the street is an open picnic grounds with lots of picnic benches under shady trees. The park hours sign read: open from Sunrise to Sunset. The temperatures here reached over 100° F this past weekend and is probably like this every summer so take extra water. We did not see the cemetery. We hope to return again someday to explore and learn more. Easy access. The park is six miles west of downtown Redding and Highway 299 passes through the town's Main Street. Review #1910

our dealer sent the original titlework to cvprs in oct 2018 to process a title transfer for our…read morecustomer. in feb 2019 cvprs had lost the titlework causing the dealer to have to apply for a duplicate title. it is now almost june 2019 & we still have not received a perfected title. we ahve sent countless emails to christy & jerikka, left multiple messages & have not received any response. everytime we call for an update, we are told the person is unavailable or out of the office. this is absolutely the worst agency we have ever dealt with & we have told all of our dealers & customers in california not to use their services.
