This is for the Bergen Street Station stops located at the corners of Flatbush and Bergen Streets…read more The way this intersection works there are actually five MTA station openings for this stop all diagonally across from each other it seems. Located right down the street from the Barclay's Center it's centered around a lot of shopping and dining spots. Take the 2 or 3 to Manhattan and the Bronx, or the 2 or 3 the other way to New Lots Ave and further down Flatbush into Brooklyn. The station itself is pretty clean considering the amount of traffic it sees.

I remember there used to be bathrooms available also, but I haven't checked on that recently. Overall, this is a major junction for the N train and gets a lot of traffic flowing through here. They could probably do more regarding vending, etc. but as a station it works and has functioning "wait time" signs.

If you're going to coney island you can take this stop as well take the F-Train . the opposite direction you can catch the F- Train into Manhattan or Jamaica ,Queens . same for the G- Train you can catch the G-Train in to queens - Long island city section of queens and several stops in Brooklyn as well . I usually come here when I have to ahead in to queens without going to Manhattan or if i'm headed to Williamsburg I'll catch the G- Train as well !!!!

Too bad in this train station, I couldn't see the elevator going downstairs to the train platform. Also the ceiling paint is peeling and it is just very old. There was just one elevator going downstairs to the ticket booth and turnstiles. There is also a precinct inside this train station with lot of NYPD ropes all over the entrance. The booth staff was very nice in this train station and helped me open the door for my baby and myself. What generous man he is.

Having my Grandson stay with me in the hotel allowed them the freedom to complete the move much easier. The station, which serves the A, C & G lines, was the perfect way to take my Grandson to school every morning. The G train has a station very near his Elementary School. It was very close to the Hilton, which proved invaluable, especially on rainy days. There was an elevator close to the entrance of the station closest to Schermerhorn. The station was very spacious with a relatively long walk (for me...) to the G train platform. It definitely wasn't a quick sprint & you're there. Hoyt-Schermerhorn does hold a claim to fame as the location of numerous film & television shoots. Notable was the late 70's filming oF "The Wiz" and Michael Jackson's music video of his hit song "Bad". To me the station is the doorway to the many wonders of Downtown Brooklyn and surrounding neighborhoods. I think it must be the center of the world. Thank you MTA for providing a station that has been a great convenience for me over the years.

It's certainly more old style, but they're allowing some newness to creep in where it counts. They added a buncha new exit doors in the middle, painted the platform ceiling white so it feels a bit cheerier, updated the lighting, and at least now have an electronic sign that tells you when the train's coming. All good things. But despite this, the MTA has not been so nice to this station. It has gotten insanely more crowded than it ever has been in the last five years -- which is something I can attest to having used this station for 30+ years of my life. Yet they think running express trains at 7th will somehow relieve congestion? It's only gotten far worse, naturally. Glad the prices have tripled for the experience to get increasingly unpleasant, even when they're patting themselves on the back about it getting better. I also admit I'm sick of the dueling guitars that have been showing up every morning... one girl is straining to sing acoustic while another plays classical guitar, while the older man at the stairwell on top plays his classical guitar, while the guy playing abstract noise guitar drones on... Enough. You all need to work out days or hours. Or take it to 7th Ave where there's more space.

Glad I showed up…read more The open gangway trains have me in the mood for a camcorder remake of Snowpiercer or maybe that scene in The Last Days of Disco. Hat tip to another rider: there's a nice breeze. Is this better because you can escape easier from subway evildoers or is it worse because miscreants can be more mobile?
