In 2004, the MTA did install great faceted glass windows both on the platforms and in the vestibules designed by South Bronx artist Daniel Del Valle called "A Trip Up the Bronx River," including enjoyable outdoor Bronx settings, such as the river, Zoo, and Botanical Gardens. There should be a grace period, if the parent and child aren't outside within that time just leave. There is no need for the incessantly honking. It's a quiet residential street. During rush hour, during school hours. Pretty much anytime unless around 2am, the passenger traffic is s little lighter around that time. The service is pretty good. For the amount of people that ride in on a daily basis, on an hourly basis, it's pretty clean. But it's so not worth being squashed like a sardine can. Actually, I'm pretty sure sardines have more room in their cans than 6 train riders. The second avenue line can not come soon enough!

Now, the station services the 2 and 5 trains, where the lines further going into The Bronx split to either head to Dyre Avenue or Wakefield-241st Street. Its street level provides opportunity to change platforms and it's also ADA compliant, which is great because this station is one of the closest to The Bronx Zoo! You'll see wonderful glass and stone mosaics as well as laminated windows with multidisciplinary artist Luisa Caldwell's elegant 2011 artwork "Station Villa" throughout this lower level. These decorative pieces perfect for the building architecture, include various floral designs and are worth checking out!
