Exiting this station will lead passengers intersecting Nostrand Avenue and Fulton Street. This station contains two separated levels: one for express which is a very wide platform and one for local and slightly narrow platform. I am always enamored with the original mosaic name tablet and underneath affixed with white lettering of black background directional arrow street-level caption signage. I remember this station was very grimey, excessively gritty, and seedy in the 1970s and 1980s decades setting the dismyal stigma image for New York City. However, Nostrand Avenue subway station has improved since those days, but nevertheless err on the side of caution. It is currently not ADA accessible, but a work-in-progress plan to become ADA accessible as part of the MTA's Capital Program 2020-2024.

All those years living in New York City & I had never been here. To my surprise what a beautiful & mostly clean station ! I am always surprised to see a clean metro station in New York City lol..! The colors , design is very nice. Directions are very clear . Stuff were also very kind & helpful! I had to walk a lot to get to this station & after all day working while standing my feet was in pain . The stuff I asked the direction realized that & actually came with me half way so I don't get lost ! I highly appreciate that , didn't had the energy to walk more . Now I know if the 7 train doesn't work which way to go lol. And you all know me, even while I was literally having pain on my feet I still had to took some pictures!

Broadway Junction station serves five subway services (A/C, J/Z, and L) and numerous buses, acting as a major transfer point in the NYC Transit system. It is under construction (always), but I see growth. This accessible, dynamic transit hub and economic center creates business, transit access and equity, inclusive growth, and workforce development. I love this station. Yes it's constantly moving, however it's easy to navigate for transfers to Manhattan, Queens, East New York, Brownsville, and Canarsie. You can even connect here for the MTA A-train to JFK airport. NYPD are present and great with directions. This is one of the few stations with a live customer service rep previously known as a "token booth clerk" on the premises 24/7.

Imagine how many people have ridden on the L Line as one of the first segments of the underground Canarsie Line over the past 100 years. Amazing! No Less Than Everything Comes Together. Going back and forth from Williamsburg to Prospect Heights meant a lot of trips from this station through Manhattan. I don't think I'll ever understand why there still isn't a way to get from Brooklyn to Brooklyn without going through Manhattan. Yet, it allowed me to discover a series of beautiful mosaics by Marcel Dzama. The Sun. The Moon. The Sky. All connected in No Less Than Everything Comes Together by Marcel Dzama. The mosaics are so interesting and detailed. Dzama cites that he was influenced by the great Dada movement artist, Marcel Duchamp, but the mosaics remind me more of the Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudi. Either way, the mosaics are so fun and playful. Take a few minutes on your vacation or your daily commute to enjoy the whimsical dancers, the sun, the moon and a few historical characters that all play a part in the mosaics in the underground Bedford Avenue Subway.

Unfortunately, if you're mobility-impaired, you're going to have a helluva time getting up and down the stairs; I broke my kneecap a few months ago, and because I wore a knee immobilizer for a month, I wasn't able to go to places with high rickety staircases like most of the elevated stations in the city. Many of them do have elevators, however; it's just not always possible to know which ones--and which ones are operational. (I know people want to give me the side-eye if I ask for their seat on the bus, and for that reason I'm more likely to stand now rather than even ask.) Fortunately, my knee has healed by now. This station is great; I love the J train, particularly when it goes express to Myrtle avenue (To quote Henry Miller, no saint ever walked there.)

It serves the B and Q Trains. This is the end of the B, so to get to Coney Island you have to make a transfer. It's pretty annoying. The station is above ground so it can get cold with the wind. Coolest thing about this station is the view, where you can see all kinds of ethnic Russian businesses. There's a few good authentic restaurants a quick walk from here. It has stairs and an elevator. Just make sure if you're going to Coney Island from Brooklyn or Queens that you're already on the Q when getting here. That way you won't have to make a transfer.

Stairs are so damn painful and tiring to go up and down. Sucks a lot. Wish these above ground train stations got more escalators and elevators. There is an abandoned old mini above ground train station above the JMZ platforms that are not used anymore so there are many train lines all over the place in Myrtle Avenue. One bad thing about this train station is the fried chicken smell when you get off the train. The smell is stronger in the Queens platform. Cannot believe the smell is so damn strong from the Popeyes downstairs. The other Popeyes are not that strong as this one. This one is probably frying too much chicken or have weird ventilation.
