The weird thing is that there seem to be two brothers competing on the same location for sandwich and drink business but working for two different cart owners. Ordered a Black Milk Tea Flatbread since it sounded interesting. Should've gone with something familiar like the Red Bean Paste instead. Couldn't taste any milk tea or any tea flavor at all. The taste of black sugar was visible as the filling though, just not around the edges as it was rather dry/plain/bland. Definitely eat it while it's hot because the texture would be totally different once it's cold. I think these flatbreads really need to include some sort of dipping sauce (e.g. ketchup/mustard/honey mustard/spicy mayo/bbq sauce etc). Overall, the flatbread was light and crispy. I randomly stumbled on Corgi Jianbing while walking around and honestly wasn't expecting much…read more.. but this ended up being one of the most memorable street food bites I've had in NYC in a while. If you've never had jianbing before, it's basically a Chinese savory crepe made fresh right in front of you. They crack the egg onto the griddle, spread it thin, layer on crispy wonton cracker, herbs, sauces, and whatever protein you choose... and then fold it into this perfectly balanced, handheld masterpiece. I got the classic with added beef, and the texture alone is worth the trip. You've got crispy, chewy, soft, and saucy all happening in one bite. It's somehow light but still super satisfying. Also not greasy in that heavy, regret-it-later kind of way. The team working the truck clearly knows what they're doing. Everything moves fast, and there's something really satisfying about watching them assemble it with precision. This is the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite and go "okay... this is legit." If you're even slightly into street food or want something different from the usual halal cart rotation, this is a must-try. I'll 100% be coming back and probably bringing people with me next time.

Eating with the crunchy lettuce makes the texture interesting. It's order-to-make so it's warm soft and fresh. The portion is not bad. It looks small but lots things are packed in. The grilled vegetable panini had a bunch of fresh basil in it with walnut pesto, which made me sooooo happy. The Turkey Muenster Jam was also nice, and generous with the cheese. My favorite thing was the Moroccan lentil soup, which was thick and not bland or salty but still tasty and with a great orange-brown color. I don't see any salad menu when they're parked at NYU, but they talk about them on their Twitter when they'e serving at other locations and apparently they've given away some too. The menu otherwise is pretty small, only around 6 different paninis and 6 different soups, but a good variety nonetheless; could get bigger. I highly recommend the combo option of a half-panini and small cup of soup for $7, which is what most of their paninis cost whole. Stick around, truck! I'll be back next autumn!
