Tried the truffleist cheesesteak at the Bryant Park shops. We went around 11:15am and there was a short line. They only make 20 per day of this special edition. It was indulgent and stuffed with cheese, peppers, onions and shaved truffle.

Came to the truffleist stand at Bryant park after years of wanting to try the truffle cheesesteak. We got the truffle cheesesteak and added goat cheese and honey on top and it was really delicious. The truffle wasn't overwhelming and the goat cheese and honey were a perfect addition and added to the complexity of flavors. We also got the OG truffle fries which were the biggest waste of money. They were $35 and tasted like gasoline from all the truffle they put in it. The chicken on it tasted very processed. Actually hated this and wish I went with something simpler or just curly fries to be honest. Would get the cheesesteak again and avoid the OG truffle fries like the plague.

It's a pop up shop in Bryant Park during the holidays. We bought truffle oil here but they have so many other items as well. You can go to their website and order the items with truffle! my daughter is a real truffle fanatic so I let her pick out the oil she wanted to take home!

Went to the booth at Union Square. I LOVE truffle and saw the long line, so I KNEW this was the spot to try. I opted for the OG which had curly fries, spicy chicken pieces, cheese, and a generous amount of truffle. The market price that day was $30, which is up there, but it was a large portion and two people could easily eat from it.

This is a review for their popup location at Bryant Park (south side near 40th Street, if you are looking for it). The line moves very quick and I did not have to wait very long for my food. I ordered the truffle cheesesteak, and it was served hot and fresh. First thing to note is, this thing is nearly impossible to eat as a sandwich because it was SO stuffed with cheese and meat. I was afraid if I picked it up it would fall apart on me, so I ended up eating it with a fork. Definitely an awkward experience, but it was nice to know that they did not skimp on meat for a $17 sandwich. I feel like the sandwich smelled more of truffle than tasted of truffle, but you can tell it was definitely doused in truffle oil. The sandwich was pretty good but too cheesy for my liking, and the bread definitely gets soggy fast (due to the steam from the heat mostly). I found it to be also really heavy, and I was only able to finish half of it. If I were to get this again, I would probably split it with a friend along with a side of fries.

Must visit in the Bryant Park Winter Village! Their $35 truffle cheesesteak gets a lot of press but for those who don't want to spend that much on a sandwich, they have plenty of other $15-19 cheesesteaks with their truffle oil. My boyfriend and I got the cacio e pepe cheesesteak which was more than enough to split between us. It looked small but was loaded with gooey meaty cheesesteak topped with chunks of shaved Parmesan between perfectly toasty bread. The truffle oil was a bit overpowered by the cacio e pepe and Parmesan but it was still delicious nonetheless. Can't wait to try more of their sandwiches!

Worth the $30 considering it can feed at least two people. The stall at the Union Square market had the longest line and a very organized team. There is limited seating in the area.

Do you like everything truffle? Then you have to make a stop here! I tried truffle with : - mozzarella bites - honey goat cheese curly fries - tater tots Everything was so delicious and I can't wait to go back there!

Stopped by to get the cheesesteak fries and they were so good. Definitely food to be shared because they don't skimp on the portions!

Tried this at the Bryant Park Holiday market this weekend. I usually buy from the store and decided to try their food stand. It was an abysmal experience. I went in a Saturday morning to try "The truffleist truffle cheesecake". I waited on line, told them my order and a man who I assume was the manager standing behind the cashier, asked me "Are you sure you don't mean the truffle cheesecake"? I responded that I wanted the truffliest truffle cheesecake and he questioned "you know it's $38 dollars right"? In a very rude and impatient tone as if I looked like I couldn't afford to buy it. I paid and waited for my sandwich. Despite this interaction I was excited to try the sandwich and was very disappointed with the flavors. It was filled to the brim with mayo which did not match the perfume-y taste of the added flowers, which didn't mesh with the pate on top. I struggled to even finish half and ended up just taking the meat and cheese out and scraping off the mayo. It was not a friendly experience and an even worse sandwich. Aesthetically pleasing does not equal pleasant taste.

Anything truffle?? Count me in. It's as delicious as it looks and it had me drooling waiting in line. It's huge and they go crazy on the cheese.

    Truffle bratwurst sans pretzel bun
    Alexa C.

I tried this stand out in the Bryant Park holiday pop up mostly because I cannot resist the seductive siren call of the smell of truffles in the air. I ordered the truffle bratwurst, which seemed to be a special. A classic bratwurst surrounded by a mozzarella crisp, coated in a truffle cheese sauce and nestled in a toasted pretzel bun (they were out of pretzel buns when I visited, so it was subbed for a toasted plain white baguette). The service was fast, and the food was good, but oh boy is it heavy. And rich. And cheesy. I could barely finish my brat simply because it was so *rich.* Regardless, the flavors were delicious, and as a fan of truffle, I was not disappointed. All in all, I enjoyed this stand, and would definitely recommend it.

I visited the Truffleist booth at the Bryant Park winter village, I love truffle anything so I was excited to try their menu and visit their shop. I ordered the Truffle cheesesteak burger & the truffle cheesesteak fries both about $14-15 each. A little pricey for lunch but the portions are huge, definitely shareable! The burger was just ok, the cheesesteak on top was awesome but the burger itself was lacking flavor and quality. The fries were amazing! I tried the truffle hot sauce and even bought a bottle. I look forward to going back and trying other menu options such as the truffle mozzarella sticks.

The chicken was flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the rice. The portion was generous and incredibly filling, making it an excellent value. Everything tasted fresh, and I honestly enjoyed every bite. That said, it was so good I could probably eat two platters! I don't go as much as I use to, as the price has more than doubled since 2017/18. However, that has nothing to do with my rating. My problem is that meats have gone downhill. I used to love gyro meat - never sure what it was exactly lamb or beef - but now it is just gross and greasy. The chicken which used to be excellent is now very dry. The white sauce is great and the rice is fine, but that is it. Not worth getting anymore. Maybe one of their competitors is better, can't really be worse.

I've heard so many great things about the cheong fun here and how cheap it is. I was recommended to go earlier in the day since they leave early or whenever they're sold out. Considering it's street food, take the cleanliness to your liking. My family and I got 5 different bowls and the total came out to $18 which is NOT bad at all. They offer soy sauce, peanut sauce, and/or chili sauce. Definitely only get the soy sauce for the protein options and peanut sauce + soy sauce for the plain one! Take it from me, my dad ordered all three sauces in all of our bowls and it was too much flavor mixing together in your mouth. Food: Plain Cheong Fun (8.4/10): The silkiest, softest cheong fun I've put in my mouth. You must eat this right away. This is not a take-home option because it will clump up together. This time I found the opportunity and am glad I can say I've been now! Its literally a small cart on the corner of the street intersection. There was a line formed and so we just followed suit. No place to sit to eat, so just be mindful of that - especially since the containers they give you the food in can be super hot! We ordered one fresh shrimp rice roll, and waited about 10 minutes for our food to come out. It is PIPING hot so it was hard to hold and eat, but we managed. The first few bites were delicious and the rice roll was super silky. However I felt like since it was shoved inside the plastic container, the rice roll keeps cooking in its own heat, and thus got overly goopy. Still, I enjoyed the cheap snack on the street, but have definitely had better long-standing rice rolls in NY.

But I'm very glad I got this now so I don't have to care about how long that potential line would be. It was around 20-25 minutes before we ordered and got our food. I had the mix platter - which consists of lamb and chicken over yellow rice with pita and lettuce. To that I added fries, white sauce, and hot sauce. Although the hot sauce was weirdly just missing. I guess they forgot it. I just have to mention the portion first. This is a gigantic amount of food. Anyone who can finish all of this in one sitting has either just had a bacchanalian night of drinking or has appetite of a mammoth. I respect them either way. But I got two-thirds through this before tapping out. Sometimes with huge portions you see the volume being disproportionally overstuffed by copious amounts of rice, but here they had equal portions of lamb and chicken as well. It's truly an equitable extravagance. Outside the portion, I really liked the taste as well. The fries were a fantastic addition I would recommend to everyone coming here - as they mixed in with the rice to add that extra textural crunch (they actually stayed crispy basically the whole time). The lamb was quite fatty and very juicy. The chicken was mostly standard, but decent still. I liked the way the pita gave you a different way to eat rather than just with a spoon - so you could mix up the eating mechanisms. The first thing you need to do is mix everything together; that's how you get the white sauce to coat everything. And this white sauce is really good. I really wish they hadn't forgotten the hot sauce as it would've added the necessary spiciness to how rich and garlicky the white sauce was. For just 13 dollars ($3 addon for the fries) this is an incredible deal. Probably some of the best value you can find in Midtown. Overall, this place that justifies a lot of the hype. I will say I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes in line for this, but if it's less than that - I'll be jumping at the chance. 9.25/10
