On December 22nd, I was browsing for a PS5 for my boyfriend and stumbled across a post on Bestbuy outlet for a digital version ps5 with 2 controllers So I jumped on it. When it finally arrived there was only 1 controller, so they told me to go look through the bubble wrap again. After feeling like an idiot and searching again and still not finding the 2nd controller I messaged them back again but this time I was told that they only sent 1 because I didn't get the 2 controller package.... Which I KNOW I did! So I decided to go take a screenshot of the post where it clearly states 2 controllers..... but they deleted the ad all together. The one controller they did send.... Bought a gaming system from this seller. Wow, what a low price. Lo and behold it doesn't work. While reading other reviews it seems that I am far from alone in this. The hald the buttons on the controller didn't work. I wonder if they even tested the product at all before shipping it out. A total waste of time and a headache to return. Non refundable shipping fees (both ways) further negate the money I'd hoped I would save by buying used. Never shopping with MTC again, and never using BestBuy Marketplace again. BestBuy takes no accountability in the business' they host in their Marketplace. Frustrating and embittering experience. read more

I have done business with MTC since 2005 whenever we needed appliances and have never had reason to complain until now. On July 15/25 we purchased a refurbished LG Fridge, model LMXS28626s, which we were told by the MTC staff had dual ice makers, one in the door of the fridge and one in the upper freezer drawer, however when we got the fridge we saw it did not have dual ice makers, just the one in the door, I called the store and complained, after speaking to two different people the answer I got was that the LG website said it had dual ice makers EXCEPT in the Specs where it said "Dual Ice Maker - No", so the staff at MTC also assumed it really had two ice makers, same as we did. MTC offered a $100 in store credit as a solution, it solves nothing, I now have a fridge with very limited ice making that forced me to go purchase a counter top ice maker to supplement the ice quantity, so I'm out of pocket even more. I get that LG's website is wrong but when I contact LG they just pass it off as them saying it has Dual Ice Makers meaning it can make cubes or crushed ice, that's NOT Dual Ice Makers, so in my opinion selling it as having Dual Ice Makers is straight up fraud on LG's part, and MTC's offering of $100 in store credit solves nothing, why would I go back ?? I want what I was sold and what I paid for, LG won't do anything because they say MTC "erased" the serial number on the tag inside the fridge (it's blank in the serial number field in the fridge, but my invoice from MTC says the serial is 2133620, LG won't accept that), they say I need to deal with MTC, MTC says not their fault that the LG Website is wrong, deal with LG, so here I am stuck with the fridge that's not what I was sold, how is this fair business practices?? read more

I didn't come to MTC Clearance Centre to shop for electronic products.... I am not sure how compatible the prices are... Something wrong with my camera.. that I just bought from Canon 3 months ago.... After filling up the request form for service, MTC popped up as the place I need to send my camera in for services.... as they are the authorized repair depot for Sony, JVC and Canon. I decided off my camera instead of mailing it in as I really want to talk to a real person. The staff that greeted me is really nice and helpful ... and he able to verify with Canon while I was waiting to make sure that the work is covered by warranty. Now I anxiously wait for my camera to be courier back to me.... I want my camera! read more

Came in 2 days ago and spotted a good deal on LG fridge for $514, returned on Monday to make the purchase and SUDDENLY price jumped to $599. When confronted the staff, was told "prices do change" with no added reason. Failed to roll back on older price or provide free delivery. Failed to even make any efforts to gain a new customer. Was hoping to get an additional dishwasher, thank God I didn't. read more

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great pricing. Some of the prices are so good, you almost think they're joking. They sell refurbished brand name appliances and electronics and they will save you a bundle. MTC also does repairs. They deal with Sony and Samsung, but if you need something of a different brand, they will still do their best to help you out and fix it. My friend brought his Panasonic TV in and they still agreed to help him. Great service! read more

I bought a refurbished vacuum cleaner. Firstly, there was a part missing in the box and when I called them on the day of purchase, they told me to come and get the part within a couple of weeks and when I asked about how many weeks they said 2-3 weeks and when I went there, the salesman took almost 20-25 min to come and then he said that you should have come within 7 days and refused to give any help. So I have to come back all the way back to Brampton without any assistance or solution from them. It was so harassing that without any fault of your own , you have to suffer and above all, they refuse to entertain rather help whatsoever. When I went from home , I was thinking of buying some other stuff also but there, I felt so bad and helpless that I did not feel like buying anything from the store. Very bad experience. read more

Great staff, prices are excellent. I recently found out "Refurbished" does not mean repaired, it means that it was just looked at by a technician again. Most of the units are open box or may have a light scratch (seriously who cares? lol) and come with full warranty. Oh and did I mention GREAT Staff! A lot of places these days have staff just there to make money and they lie to you, these people actually care and tell you what products would be beneficial for you. (They have talked me out of spending more money because it would have been a waste for me!!) Not to mention if you do have a problem they are also the service centre for most of it! read more

After expressing my disappointment with both MTC Whitby and the delivery company Unlimited Delivery Services Corp from Mississauga I am saddened with the type of service I have received. They damaged my NEW carpet! I did not ask for my carpet to be replaced just some kind of compensation for all the trouble this has caused me. Either company could have simply offered a small credit/or girt card to make this right as I will have to now cover the cost of this. BUT I GOT NO REPLY ! I can assure you I will be re-thinking supporting smaller businesses and go with the big box companies for major purchases that include delivery as this has been disgusting. I spent almost $7000, my home was damaged, I was misled and then the service men LIED and now I am at fault for the damage THEY caused. The delivery company has decided that it was not safe to move the dryer as the pedestals were attached, when asked to have them removed (which I would have paid for) they declined as they state they were not on correctly, however MTC advised me yes they were installed correct again I am at fault for this. Maybe if a delivery is not safe you DON'T WAIT until you're at the customers DOOR to advise them of this! MTC said they are not at fault I must deal with the delivery company however I paid MTC for the delivery and they contracted this company, the delivery company is so professional they will not even respond to my email or offer a penny to make this right. PLEASE PEOPLE RETHINK HAVING ANYTHING DELIVERED FROM MTC because the company they use for delivery is a JOKE! read more

I've only been here once, but I definitely was not impressed with the prices. Make sure that you have a clear of current retail and sale prices for the specific models there (especially electronics), since I found that in many cases the savings to be minimal. For the small discount, I would rather brand new and not a refurbished unit. Buyer beware! read more

Bought a Samsung fridge and after three months it stopped working after about a week a repair person shows up to look at it and a week later they decide they are going to replace it with another fridge which I waited for weeks, when they delivered it it had a big dent in the side which I refused and then another month goes by and finally they get another fridge in which looks great so after going months without a fridge they now want to charge me to deliver my new fridge and also charge me to take away there broken one that they can not fix, never again will I buy another product from them again if this is the way they treat their customers so much for there 5yr warranty read more

Great staff. Most of the staff have been here for awhile and are very knowledgeable and friendly. They know their stuff! I buy refurbished all the same. It saves you money, better for the environment, and has been tested before sale so less likely to have an issue. I have purchased items here and they looked brand new out of the package. Everything has warranty too, although you probably won't need it. Haven't had an issue with anything purchased yet *knock on wood*. I always check here before anywhere else. Even if the Big Box stores have an item on sale they try their best to make it worth your while. read more

MTC is the designated local repair center for Sony products, in this case the product was a Vaio lap top. All started off fine, I dropped off the computer, was told it would take a couple of days to complete an assessment and then they would advise cost & lead time. As promised, a day or so later I was told it was a connection cable that required replacement and that the repair should in completed within 7-10days and cost several hundred dollars. The cost of the parts seemed excessive.....but, there was still lots of value in the lap top so I told them to proceed. Two weeks later, nothing. So I call and I am told that they are still waiting on parts.....their website Status screen told me that MUCH !! I pushed for some kind of date or schedule as to when the parts would be in, or what they were doing to chase their supplier. All I got back was we don't know, we can't do anything. It didn't seem to matter what I asked, the response was the same, we don't know, we can't or both. I asked the lady MTC person I was speaking with to please have somebody responsible to call me back within a couple of days to update me on the status of my computer. Another two weeks pass....nothing, no phone call from said responsible person, or anybody else to say sorry sir, we are still waiting on parts but this is what we are doing to try and get them. Now waiting into my 5th week I go into the store and ask to speak with the Manager on duty. And, I get the same story, sorry sir we don't know when the parts will be here, we can't do anything ( basically we are stupid and helpless to have any influence over the receipt of parts and the delivery of customer service to our customers ) And, if you can believe this, I was told that I should contact Sony myself and inquire about the delivery of parts. REALLY !!!!! What a dumb thing to say to a customer.....and probably a lie because they never provided me with a description of the parts, or reference information for the order that was supposedly delayed and I am almost certain the parts would not be coming from Sony anyway, but rather some designated component supplier. WOW Two more days pass I decide its time to seek out higher management. Can you find a phone # for somebody to call...NO. Ok, so I am local I decide to go to their offices and cold call who's ever in charge of the repair center. Nope.....No luck there either. Upon entry into the office you are greeted to an empty room, a locked door and a phone with 6 names & numbers, but no job titles. Any attempt to ask for help in speaking to the right person becomes a renewed exercise of I don't know ( you need to deal with store staff ) and an endless chase around in circles. Ironically, while standing in their office trying to navigate my way to the right person I get a call that my computer is READY. REALLY !!!!! And so how do we go from 5 weeks of we don't know, to 2 days later oh by the way your computer is ready. When I returned to the store to ask the store manager than question......his response was unfortunately very predictable He didn't know he said. I hope the repair turns out to be correct....the repair staff maybe fine and the products they sell may represent good value. But, their sales & customer service staff are incompetent and their management people either completely absent, or shielded from the operation. read more
